Interesting. Is this common knowledge , or do you have a source? You have a pretty solid grasp on Afghan history and affairs and I'm sure you're right but if you do have a source please share it .

The Master of Spin Boldak | Harper's Magazine - Part 4

Aikens gives a solid account here. I believe only the Raziq's uncle was hanged from the barrel of a tank. He was the one who repeatedly raped the girls.

"Razik’s uncle Mansour, who had survived Esmat’s departure by rejoining the mujahideen, was hanged from the gun of a tank north of Spin Boldak by the Taliban. Razik’s father also was killed, and his family, along with many Achakzai tribal leaders, fled into exile in Pakistan—until the U.S.-led invasion arrived like a thunderbolt."

The very same molesters of young men that destroyed the city in the 1990s rode back in with Sherzai and this piece of trash was in his militia and got the training from Xe.

The old guard pseudo elite in some cases (Karzai) and these guys benefited and were able to pretty much rape the area for resources and money so they were willing to look the other way. Karzai was confronted by a reporter regarding the verified killings Razak undertook against non Taliban and he waved off the question.

Some of the Afghans abroad have benefited immensely from the US driven war and have won translation service contracts and enriched themselves. Many of these dog washers as they are called also have convinced themselves that their cause is righteous based on the flow of "righteous" amounts of dollars into their pockets.
Most of those who benefited from US driven war were local Afghans. Most of Afghans engaged in American projects were from Afghanistan not from Europe/USA. I know plenty of them.

It’s funny because the people who praise him do so based on the stability he supposedly brought to Kandahar, and say that that outweighs whatever bad he committed. The only problem is that the Taliban also brought stability to the region, and did so with less corruption, less bacha bazi, and fewer massacres, but will these people lionize any Taliban leader? No, in fact they celebrate when one dies.
Razak low IQ propaganda was for low IQ people. Every time he claimed to be against our enemy Punjab I laughed so hard. I can not believe that at this point some people still claim that Punjab is behind all Afghanistan´s miseries.

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

I never knew it was Raziq's Uncle who was the commander that kidnapped and raped the two girls in Kandahar back in 1994.

If this is a confirmed fact, then the specific incident of the rape by Raziq's uncle brought about the Taliban. Obviously, this and all the other crime which was occurring but this is reportedly the single incident which sparked the origin and rise of the Taliban.

You keep sharing articles like they are Allah´s word, brother. Afghanistan has plenty of problems but materially speaking its right now way better than it was 20 years ago. I was in Kabul when Taliban took over and I was in Kabul few weeks ago. You should try speaking a bit more with people with experience and do not rely much on articles written by some random naive Westerners living in a bubble.

Your committing ad hominem fallacy. Those tricks don't work here.

The people creating the reports are from people on the ground, not some guy that is making money in Kabul eating and drinking with other elites.

“Brother” has never stepped foot in Afghanistan and doesn’t even speak his supposed first language. He is, however, an expert on what is right for afghans and how much stability the talibs brought to the country.
It is in vain to think of a wilderness distance from the heart.

Seeing how that has become the bonding factor between the two of you, I will leave that to you. I am sure you will still be talking about it in 10 years from now.

Please tell us how you figured taliban brought stability to qandahar if you have never seen qandahar or a talib in the entire of your pathetic life time?? How??

I know. The way he speaks about Afghanistan and the Taliban its too biased, simplistic and naive. He speaks like an American, not an Afghan. Relies too much on articles written by people with no knowledge of Afghanistan´s ground reality. Afghans have developed over decades an immunity against this kind of behaviors. The only people Afghans idealize is dead people, basically because they can not challenge our opinions. No Afghan would idealize the Afghan government nor the Taliban as Khushal does.

You do not even have to believe me. You just go to Afghanistan and speak to people and see for yourself. Very few of them seem to be happy about Taliban taking over. No Afghan moves to the provinces controlled by them. Last time I was in Herat, when you leave the city, in its outskirts, I saw thousands of Pashtun refugees who migrated from Taliban provinces running away from a failed tribal movement.

Our government is cr*p but its still better than those cavemen. He has no skin in this game thats why he speaks so arrogantly about stuff he ignores.

Youre committing too many fallacies; a fallacy of virtue, ad hominem and others therefore your being deceitful.

Youre right, I have no skin in the game which makes me unbiased. I preach what the evidence says, dont blame me, blame the evidence, blame the truth. If you were a Saudi monarch, you would lure me to some ruse and then assassinate me for putting obstacles in your money making schemes.
