  • What do you guys think of a partition of Afghanistan?

Afghanistan is mishmash of two major populations. In teams of linguistics and culture IT can be divided into half Persian, the other half mostly Pashtun.

Both groups Seem hindered due to being divided into several countries. Farsi speakers being divided into Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Afghanistan. Meanwhile Pashtuns divided into Pakistan and Afghanistanistan.

Naturally it would seem most logicall if both these populations united with their brothers in the other countries.

What are pros and cons for a partition for All sides involved?

Yes I am Indian. No need to point IT out to me. But I am curious. Hope u dont mind my question.

Ignore this Indic Troll everyone, he has nothing to contribute to us.

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

      I am No Troll Iblis.

      Just been wondering.

Pashtuns identity and culture might prosper without Indic and Persian influence, in a Pashtunistan.

For Farsi speakers, their identity and heritage is bit by bit stolen by Iran on one side and supressed by non-Farsi speakers on the other sides. A central Asian farsi speaking country (Persian parts of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Persian Half Afghanistan could in theory work. Being landlocked is what Central Asia had always been so No difference in that part.

Again this is No Troll attempt. Just a fair honest and Humble harmless question.

This question is one that only springs up in the minds of non-Afghans. Afghans understand that the Pashtun and Farsi-speaking populations of Afghanistan are not distinct entities, and so separating them is neither possible nor sensible.

A partition of Afghanistan on ethnic or linguistic grounds is impossible.

HAHA.. you AFGHANISTANIES are very biased.. See we pakistani pashtuns have no problem with punjabies either as you are comfortable with Tajiks.. both sides have to understand this... Pashtuns in Pakistan have to stand up for their rights and vice versa in case of pashtuns of Afghanistan...

I believe the main problem with the partition of Afghanistan is that its not really an ideal solution to our problems. The very nature of the Western nation-state is behind our fail. Afghanistan will always be a failed state. Won´t work. Never worked. But I do not know how creating more nation-states will improve our situation.

Nationalism is extremely dangerous. Now there seems to be a consensus between non Pashtun nationalists against Pashtuns. But once Pashtuns are gone, they will start killing each other. Its a divisive and dangerous ideology. We need to unite under some more universal and unifying ideology. Honestly speaking other than Islam I can not think of any other unifying ideology right now.

I awaken the Ajam by this Persian [language]. "

Pashtuns or others are not the problem. They are our bros. Closest to us in terms of genetics and looks.

I will say we are all in the same boat. Actually I would say our misery is caused by bigger fishes from far way oceans. Wether you go back to to Alexander the Gay, Arabs, Mongols, Turks, and now Western hegemony. All these cockroaches have roamed our lands without an invitation.
