What will happen to someone after they die? Will they be welcomed by the President of their country, or -- God?
So who should be given all the respect while they are alive?!

But like American nationalism - why are all these people almost indoctrinated from birth that America is the greatest nation that ever hit the planet?
That's surely not true.
Patriotism is understandable but I much prefer to be patriotic to God.
But this over-done patting ourselves on the back because of living in the US can mislead people into very false ideas that all they need in life is a government, elections - people here waste so much time talking about who is in the race for which seat, who's going to win, who voted for whom - it's all a huge distraction from the essentials of life.

Nobody asks : WHO DOES GOD WANT to run the country? They focus on what humans are saying and doing and what celebrities tell them is important, all this superficial culture.

Why we should be concerned and focused on Pashtun nationalism in Afghanistan, after all Pashtun/Afghans are not Nazis.
Actually it is only needed in Occupied Pakhtunland in Pakistan where we have been deprived of all of our material as well as cultural and historical assets.

the inventor of Nationalism, Jean Jaque Rousseau promoted the idea of the "natural man" who was irrational and obsessed with fullfilling his desires to saticify himself and his physical needs. Love for the self is the source of nationalism. This is why Pashtun Nationalists consider themselves as better human beings of superior kind compared to Punjabis etc.

Even the most outspoken Pashtun Nationalist on PF, MazloomYarMasud would insult Qandahari Pashtuns because he considered his own kind to be better than others.

Then one Christian brother conquered the country of another Christian brother. And another brother massacred the followers of another brother. Then one brother had another beheaded. I am alhamdullilah a Muslim and think Pashtun Nationalism is not contradictory to Islam or it could be just me...

Nationalism as I see it is to systematically look inwards, to act and think based on presumed superiority, and to see and depict others as potential threats, to be kept at bay, literally and figuratively. As I see it nothing good has ever come from that mindset, and nothing good ever could for that matter.

While I would say that religion has historically topped everything else in terms of dividing people and contributing to the waging of countless wars, nationalism arguably finishes a close second. Look at the two world wars, and tell me that nationalism didn't play a major role in those conflicts.

Nationalism is not justifiable at all....come on Pashtano the world shouldn't come to end at Pashtu and Pashtuns only.
We should unite as one Ummah, and it's going to happen sooner or later, the black flags of Imam Mehdi is going to originate from Khorasan. We need to think on a bigger level, we are nothing outside Afghanistan, we need to contribute to Islam. Wallahi I'm affraid nationalism is going to be a peghoor in our graves....the west want us to become nationalists. That;s the only way they can spread chaos between Muslims and particularly their historical rivals (Pashtuns). We've always been the battlefront of the fight for HAQ vs Batil, not Pashtun vs non Pashtuns.
We have the entire future ahead of us, we are suppose to be leading the entire Ummah. Nah Nah, we are too busy killing each other...

Reunification under a "Pashtun" state is very illogical and not healthy. Just as it is illogical and unhealthy to have one Islamic state.
