Seems like Dhul-Fiqar is trying to get in our good graces by attacking people he thinks we may dislike.

Too bad we're not dumb enough to think all Uzbeks are bad because Dostum is a ****bag. That'd be like us assuming Dhul-Fiqar is a Hindu because fellow Indic Narendra Modi is one. Or that he's a slave to whites because his leader, Ghulam Ahmad, was a loyal slave of the British.

Oh wait, that last one may be true...

Recently? lol all this happened months ago. It's old news for Afghans. You act like you're just learning all of this now. Nothing wrong with that, but if that's the case, you shouldn't be trying to educate us about this stuff.

Are uzebks are still fighting material in Afghanistan? Here in India and Kashmir we pashtuns mock these Uzbeks as midgets and do not even accept their women for marriage.

Dostum allied with Massoud but then betrayed him in 1994 and sided with Hekmatyar. He is an extremely brutal and cruel warlords with many shocking atrocities against his enemies. The Uzbeks in Afghanistan seem to be like the Uzbeks in Uzbekistan (Islam Karimov is a brutal pharaonic dictator – a taghout), cruel and ruthless people who have no regard for Islamic moral teachings.
If you have passed the verdict that all Uzbeks are bad because of Dostum , then if you apply the same formula then no ethnicity in the world can be considered decent or good.

Is this proverb supposed to mean that Uzbeks are more treacherous and cruel than Pashtuns?

Uzbeks were ferocious warriors for much of the last 1000 years, Soviet communism has made them meek, Afghan uzbeks are probably the most old school.

Much of the spread of Islam whether right or wrong was done by uzbek warriors.

But why are these CARs like Uzbekistan so anti-Islam? They impose so many restrictions on the practice of Islam. So how can it be said that Uzbeks are great Muslims?

because of russian colonization and secularization during the USSR which was very anti religion, even today a good chunk of the top brass in the CARs are ethnically russian. Also desis should be the last ones generalizing entire races as good or bad muslims.

Last I checked there's no large movement that believes in a false prophet in Uzbekistan, so I guess they must be better than you guys at least.

Talking about Uzbeks. The guy that ran over people in NYC with a home depot truck is an Uzbek from Uzbekistan.

The wrath of pashtun is equivalent to the mercy of Uzbek. They are stereotyped as merciless and unfortunately Dostum fits that stereotype.

The CARs govs are all brutally repressive. Any kind of freedoms would endanger their hold on power.

I dont mingle too much with our fellow Uzbek brothers but I do know some Shia Uzbeks from Mazar and most of them are actually more Pro-Jamiat than Pro-Dostum. Uzbeks get along with Tajiks and even with Hazaras but for some reason they hold a deep hatred toward Pashtuns. I have been told that when Tlaiban took over the north in 1996-7, Uzbeks refused to be ruled by Pashtuns so the Taliban had to appoint Tajik and Uzbek governors for the Uzbek inhabited regions.

But their food is yummy AF lol
Many afghans I’ve met and some of my family members still harbour prejudices against other ethnicities, unfortunately.
No doubt brother, uzbek food is good.
