The idea of Pashtunistan is maby not that popular in KPK or Afghanistan, but Pashtuns are the most nationalic or rather say ethnocentristic off the Iranic tribes, if you even want to label us "Iranic" what I doubt. But anyway, most Pashtuns would rarely give away daughthers to non-pashtun, even when they are searching for a wifes for their sons, a Pashtana will be always the first choice, its only sometimes that a Pashtun family decides to marry off or marry in a non-pashtun, and in most of those cases its because they did not had a better choice.....Originally posted by Kakar-Wardak View PostPashtunistan is not very popular in KPK, of all iranic groups pashtuns are not very nationalistic, persians, kurds and baloch are all very nationalistic people, pashtuns are more Islamic centric, especially with the popularity of tableegh jamaat which was promoted by Isi to kill pashtun nationalism which has worked well for them.
Meanwhile Iranian, Kurds and even Kashmiri marry outside their ethnicities quite often, Iranians like outsiders espicially westerners more than their own and adopt everything from them, Baloch and Kashmiris I dont know that much about them, but they are also not that hard on marrieng outsiders if you compare them with us Pashtuns, meanwhile with Pashtuns its a social suicide marrieng a non-pashtun.
The biggest problem is the lack of money to fund Pashtu or to write science book in Pashtu and thats due to 40 years of war.
Our language and culture is not doomed, we need stability and safety and in no time Pashtu can become the dominant language in Afghanistan just due to the large number of Pashtuns.

So true, if you look at Uzbacks in Ubezkistan or Tajiks in Tajikistan, there they dress and have totaly diffrent traditional jewelery clothes dances and customs. Meanwhile the same minorities in Afghansiatn have our type dress, cutoms and use our music, dance and even the way they talk is havely influenced by Pashtu. And somehow they have superior culture lol.Originally posted by Farahshah View PostThe thing is with Pashtuns (afghans) it is actually the other way around. Their identity and culture is being stolen from them. Non Pastun people degrade their language by calling it a language that has originated from Old Persian. Non Afghan people in Afghanistan proudly wear Pashtun dress and jewellery and call it 'their' culture. Non Pashto (Afghani) songs are sung with pashto music. Attanr dance is performed on non Afghani songs by non Pashtun people, who can't even pronounce the word attanr properly, in Afghanistan.
Don't you think it's time we strip the non Afghan Afghanistanis of 'Afghan' identity? So that our culture and language will flourish without all these hatemongers and identity theives desperately clinging to it. hmmmm? After this i don't think the ungrateful theives would ever dare call us Afghans and our Afghani language 'weak'.
Well Pakistan doesn't want to unite with identity theives like you too. Infact, Pakistan wants you to take your Taw-jerk (tajik) kinsmen from Pakistan who, eventhough have accepted a more advanced language (Pashto) and culture (Pashtun) and hate being called Persians, but due to their hatemongering and backstabbing-ness (special traits found in every unwelcomed jerk) are not tolerated in Pakistan.
Farsi uses a lot of arabic loan words, its something like 40% arabic. They use also arabic alphabet, kind of weird when you talk about a superior culture and language. LOL

Viable or not, it has to be admitted that Pakistan is the most powerful since it is the only nuclear armed Muslim state. Afghanistan is light-years behind Pakistan in terms of military, economic development, and stability of political institutions and infrastructure. I think it is in the best interest of Afghanistan to be absorbed into Pakistan. The problem with Iran is its authoritarian regime controlled by Khomeinist mullas which obviously won't be acceptable to the majority of Afghans. Pakistan at least has a lot more political freedom than Iran, not to mention a functioning democracy.Originally posted by Iblis_Efreetzai View Postand the last one isn't even viable but a military oligarchy so there's that.
Now I personally am against the Pakistani State and democracy for my own reasons coming from a religious perspective. But since we are discussing from the vantage of what is better for Afghanistan in material terms, I say that Afghanistan isn't a viable state and should either join Iran or Pakistan.[SIZE="4"][FONT="HardTimesW01-Roman"]My Blog

I can see Pakistanis accepting Pashtuns and Balochis, but there is no chance anyone will accept the instability associated with Tajiks and their history with the Northern alliance. It's not worth it.
But I am against expanding in this sense, with the exception of Pakistan reclaiming and liberating all of Kashmir, InshAllah.
An EU like union makes more sense.Signed

Tajiks and Uzbeks are diverse populations though, specially given the historical circumstances.Originally posted by Khostai View PostSo true, if you look at Uzbacks in Ubezkistan or Tajiks in Tajikistan, there they dress and have totaly diffrent traditional jewelery clothes dances and customs. as far as Farsi speakers, Tajiki, Dari and Farsi (Iran) sound like completely 3 different languages even though they are the same language. Just clarifying the diversity in language alone, of course sub-cultural differences arise as geographical distance is maximized.

Then you should also be against Canada where you are living and what about India then ?Originally posted by ذو الفقار View PostViable or not, it has to be admitted that Pakistan is the most powerful since it is the only nuclear armed Muslim state. Canada and India are non-Muslim countries, I am part of the minority community and don't really identify with either country. Pakistan is different because it was created as a Muslim state, but ultimately failed to attain the objectives of its creation, so Pakistan is a disappointment for me, but not Canada or India since never expected anything from them in the first place.[SIZE="4"][FONT="HardTimesW01-Roman"]My Blog

One of the ethnic groups of Afghanistan which I feel we have a responsibility toward are the Hazara. They are a beautiful humble people but tragically have suffered too much hatred, racism and persecution especially at the hands of the Pashtuns, something which should stir our conscience.

Pashtuns and Baluch of Afghanistan surely prefer Desification/getting absorbed by Indian type people like Punjabis. lolOriginally posted by Razor View PostI can see Pakistanis accepting Pashtuns and Balochis, but there is no chance anyone will accept the instability associated with Tajiks and their history with the Northern alliance.
