The conservative spin here is how much air time such stories get, and what gets emphasized. How often do you see headlines like "Middle Class White Man Rapes 10 Year Old"? Pointing out that it was a refugee seems like an innocent telling of the details, but in reality reporters choose to mention or ignore details of any story based on their intended spin.

In this case, the details important to the anti-immigration types are the fact that the perpetrator was a recent refugee, his excuse was that he needed a sexual outlet, and that the Austrian supreme court overturned the rape conviction. These details are enough to serve as fuel for their convictions that "Dark skinned" (i.e. non-European) people are inherently and culturally violent and uncivilized, and that the "liberal" forces want to force them into Europe and don't care about the consequences.

Of course, the headline doesn't mention that the court actually ordered a retrial, and didn't just let the guy get away scot-free, or that the vast majority of rapes in any European country are perpetrated by native Europeans, or that "rape culture" is actually primarily a problem of European cultures that stems from their odd conceptions of masculinity going back all the way to the days of Rome, because none of that serves the narrative.

I doubt they are inventing rape stories to say brown people are savages. Rightwing are not inherently bad, they are looking for their own just like you do.

Those sterotypes are true because you set those stereotypes and start a cycle that leads to a low sense of self, poverty and then crimes, not because they are black or white. When a person grows up being told that they are going to be of no use to society, they will start believing it and end up being of no use to society.
If being black was the sole factor behind being a criminal than all jails would be full of black people only and there won't be any educated black people or white/brown criminals. That is simply not true.
