I never see Pakistani Pashtuns brandishing their Pakistani identity except during special holidays related to Pakistan. And wait, weren't you just trying to play race card earlier? What a back peddle after being shown Pashto is very highly represented in Afghanistan ....doing the Bait and Switch again eh?

That's because you are from Afghanistan and Pashtun's on both sides look similar . Do you think he will say he is from Bannu if he is meeting someone from South Africa ?

Nobody brandishes their Identity 24/7 . You don't see the British waving flags 365 days of the year . You only do that on your national days or sporting events . Its common sense

No its not . Tajiks dominate everywhere in Afghanistan despite Pashtun's being in the majority . one of the reasons you keep on having civil wars is because of the mutual hate for each other .

Which still contradicts your narrative! And this means you're conceding that the f "Pakistani first" claim is false.

I love when I get you to cave in. haha

That's not what I said though. Straw-Man. But still means you conceded that your narrative is not accurate.

Pashtuns aren't a majority; They're the largest group, but not the majority group. Your earlier claim was about Pashtun representation in Media , which was wrong, you did a Bait and Switch tactic and change it to pashtuns in military. Either way...you're race baiting. How come suddenly you're so anxious about race when it comes to Afghanistan? oh of course. Because you know Pakistani's racial harmony is a narrative that they feed and post on news blogs, but isn't real lol.

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

I do mind, I only want a Lingua Franca between Muslim regions. Not start emulating Arab cultural habits.

Look at you coming in defense of Urdu and Indic culture ....knew you weren't sincere, you must be a Pakistani Nationalist

This is normal behaviour . My Punjabi Indian classmates tell me they are from Punjab knowing already that I know they are from India .

In a country which has 90 languages spoken within its confines and had no civil war so far between its people its still better than alot of others . Why would i be worried about a banana republic's harmony ? . I mentioned it because the thread was about Pashtun's being marginalised inside Afghanistan .

I guess you forgot about Bangladesh and the Baluch rebels and trying to silence Pashtun Nationalists.

Pashtuns aren't marginalized per se, they're just not people who believe in centralized governments. That's why you have FATA.

People with common culture tend to do that at times . Though normally they identity with their country first . Knowing your 24/7 butthurt anti-Pakistan tone you probably made that up .

Balochistan rebels weren't that big in number . Or else you would be seeing 30-40k people marching on the streets protesting like it happens in Kashmir . Pashtun nationalism didn't even had a take off . It was you trying to stir it up during the 60's only to be given a bloody nose by the tribals themselves .

KP has always been integrated into Pakistan . It's only tolo news that tells you otherwise by beating a dead horse like Durand line . As for FATA their integration into the country has just started .

That's not an issue as very few people actually live there which will be brought into mainstream eventually .

Ok but that runs contrary to your original statement, it means it wasn't factual/accurate ....not sure why you insist on making excuses, be a a dignified person and admit you were deliberately misrepresenting things.

If that was true the level of military response is unusually disporitionate. Which suggests it isn't true.

You have Pashtun Nationalist parties, what are you talking about? lol

I said FATA ...but even here, not true, since most tribals don't really interface with the Government much.

Here is how a rebellion looks like .

Military presence is important because of its strategic location , Raw involvement and Baloch rebel presence (which has dwindled at an all time low ) .

See of all the emotions a human can have, Afghanistanis have just one that's ANGER/FRUSTRATION and they have to express it.

They can't hate India, although their only claim to fame is those couple of guys who invaded part of India back in the day, India literally feeds Afghanistanis their elders their mothers their daughters their children their wives all are fed by Indian Hindus and by doing that India so beautifully adds insult to Afghan injury.

They can't hate China coz China is just too big to fit in their microscopic imagination lmao

Central Asians and Iranians doesn't even consider them as humans they deem Afghanistanis as radioactive hence they have completely insulated themselves.

So these morons turned to us since they are clinically insane and lack the capacity to process information in their heads.

And for us it's a blessing in disguise we'll keep whatever little brain they have engaged and won't allow them to get out of this anti Pakistan mindset and think freely and rationally hence keeping them as our colony for the foreseeable future..

74pc Fata people want merger with KP, repeal of FCR | Pakistan | thenews.com.pk

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Federally Administered Tribal Areas’ (Fata) three-fourth population is supporting the move of integrating their tribal areas with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province and also has demand of the federal government to repeal the Frontier Crimes Regulations (FCR) that was enforced by British rulers decades ago for oppressing the people of these areas and which deprive them from some of their basic rights.

The Fata Research Centre on Wednesday released here a study titled “Governance Reforms in Fata: A People’s Perspective” at a time when a heated debate is ensuing in the country regarding the type of new governance system to be introduced in Fata.

The event was attended by the KP provincial Minister Anisa Zeb TahirKheli, Ambassador Federal Republic of Germany Ina Lepel, former Governor KP Engr. Shaukat Ullah, Member of National Assembly Shehryar Afridi (PTI), Justice (R) Mian Ajmal, Afrasiab Khattak (ANP) along with diplomatic staff from different countries and representatives from different research institutes and other stakeholders.

Authored by Dr Sadia Sulaiman and Dr. Syed Adnan Ali Shah, the research study focuses on future of governance reforms in Fata and highlights Fata people’s perspective in this regard. The study is based on data extracted through poll surveys, in-depth interviews, focused groups discussions and consultative workshops to ascertain the perspectives of indigenous populace.

Dr Sadia Sulaiman stated that poll survey shows that 74 percent of the respondents (54 pc fully, while 20 pc partially) endorsed the option of merging Fata into KP. Conversely, 18 pc of the respondents fully disagreed with the idea of merger.

The Fata Research Centre on Wednesday released here a study titled “Governance Reforms in Fata: A People’s Perspective” at a time when a heated debate is ensuing in the country regarding the type of new governance system to be introduced in Fata.

Here's the actual site for this Centre's study

Here's the link to the actual study. On Page 137 it says 72 percent of RESPONDENTS, not 75% of FATA. Two Completely different sample spaces.. We don't know how much confirmation bias or cherry oicking was taken by the individuals conducting the study or their research methodology. The article is morphing word "respondendents" into "population" show the change in terms has more propaganda motive than truth reporting.

                                This is face palm worthy.

Really ? I would love to see some articles on that

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."
