Fact of the matter is wherever you go in Afghanistan, you can attend parties of bacha Bazi. People all over Afghanistan know of such weddings and gatherings where bacha Bazi is practiced.
That must be Afghan culture then some sort of national practice, by no means does it make it Pashtun culture, 30 million Pakhtuns in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and we don't do this.

You made a claim saying it is a major part of Afghan culture which is wrong, it's not part of Afghan culture but you could say this is a problem which seems to be effect Afghanistan more than some other countries. It still doesn't make it a major part of Afghan culture. We have to investigate the causes behind this problem to understand this phenomenon . No one can deny it exists but to say it is part of our culture might give it legitimacy to those who practice it.

Its not Pashtun culture, its not part of Pashtunwali.

There are certain areas which are famous for it though like Kandahar, Bannu etc. No one can say how much truth there is to it.

Your problem is denial. You refuse to accept how widespread it is. Any Afghan who is not delusional and self deceiving can go to Afghanistan and testify that bacha Bazi is generally accepted by many Afghans. That's why it is practiced out in the open in public gatherings.

If it was something hidden from the general society and only happened behind close doors we could say that it is not a major issue.

But the truth is, entire albums are released with bacha Bazi songs and famous national singers sing at bacha Bazi gatherings. Men who keep boys give interviews to the press and boys wearing make-up are seen in cities all over the country where men whistle and flirt with them.

one of the reasons why Afghanistan is such ish-hole is because people are ashamed to admit that we have major problems. By denying and downplaying problems we are just protecting the status quo.

Societal problems don't have simple and easy solutions. Some societal problems can never be cured. Bacha Bazi was a major aspect of pre-Islamic culture in the region. Islam didn't solve it. That's why people still practice it. But least what we can do is acknowledge the scope and dept of the problem. We have measure it and research it. At the same time we should be more outspoken and firm in our stance against it. We don't have a well functioning government and law enforcement. We can't expect the government to intervene. But if we try to influence people and make them aware of this problem, we can maybe put pressure on those people who condone it or practice it. Because by trying to influence people we can change them and make them stop this. We can't get rid of it in its entirety. But we can change minds of some.

Most Afghans only like India becuase they hate Pakistan and would like to have them as an friend againt them an thats it.

The other reason why Afghans and the rest of muslim world likes Bollywood is due to it being not so sexual as western movies are, also the relationship of women who after marriage live in the same house as the rest of her husband family is quite similar to what we have in Afghanistan. But now that changed and Bollywood begins to look more like Hollywood, in terms of nudity and sex. Afghans do not watch that often and a lot are switching to Turkish drama's.

That aside, you can not generalise billion people on the action of a few and in no culture rape is seen as normal and also not India. The same as we can not judge billions of mulsim on the action of taliban and suicide bombings.

This is what most normal Afghans say, but every normal Afghan who has a mind of its own is now called nationalist atheistic communist.

Actually bachabazi doesn't even have the same meaning in many parts of Afghanistan. In Herat bachabaz means mainly homosexual, gay, not pedophile.

Bachabaazi is a disease widely spread in Afghanistan but not as much as Shamlawar thinks. Most of people despise it and according Afghan standards its a disgusting practice.

Dont you see what he is doing? He makes it look like that Afghan culture or any culture for that part who is not fully Islamic is wrong, veil and disgusting, that they allow rape and chiled abuse. This whole tread is dedicated to this.

yes indeed. Bacha baazi is a problem, but saying it's part of our culture, meaning accepted by the general population is ridiciculoius....

Calling someone Bacha baaz is one of the biggest insults...is akin to homosexual (pedofile) pretty much....

A very very small population in notorious areas is actually engaged in Zanrki-bazi but because no one is even calling it a sin there , and the matter is taken as lightly as gambling (even jokes and gupshup is about bacha Bazi and about boy's kwana and fair cheeks) so every one from that area gets badnaam.....for example every one from Bannu is stereotyped to be a homo-bacha-baz.....its also prevalent in neighbouring areas like Lakki and Waziristan but absent in Khattak areas......Ofcourse the same vulgar Zanrki baz will be sensitive , uptight and "Pashtun" about honour of women of his household.....and interestingly the "object" in the homo act is deemed lowly and dispicable in Pashtun society while the "subject" doesn't get such treatment....if you see a majestic looking Wazir or Mehsud Malik, clad all in traditional attire, and you see a young beardless boy accompanying who is not his son or relative, then chances are he is his "zanrkay" ....the boy receives "kharcha" and khorak from the elder and older and in return he offers his ass at night ....all of this is true for areas of Afghanistan plagued with Bacha Bazi.......not just that , there are cases where a boy gets raped or is killed by the man when he refused to be a koni....worst of it was/is observed in Afghanistan.

I am not defending anything, if I had the power, I would severely punish those who parttake in these activities, but rape and child abuse exists wherevere there are humans...Surely you can't tell me there doesn't exists rape and child abuse in the west or anywhere else outside Afghanistan for that matter, can you?

this logic of anti-Afghans on this forum that bachi baazi/pedophilia is only something occuring in Afghanistan is utterly flawed...it seems more rampant only because Afghanistan has a weak government, and no efficient police system to enforce its laws on those individuals who parttake in this subhuman activity.

Is anyone here really stupid enough to think any sensible parent would allow his own child to get sexually abused?

Most people in Afghanistan don't approve of it, but its the job of the government and an efficient police system to ensure it doesn't exist...

Westerners visit Far Eastern countries such as Thailand, Vietnam or Cambodia by the thousands on a regular basis in order to have sex with children. Pedophilia is a crime and also a disgusting thing for Westerners but still despite all their rationalism and high moral values plenty of Westerners are having sex or would like to have sex with children.
