Hardly, you've basically just told us some people's opinions, and the basis of their opinions have varying motives, some rooted in knowledge some rooted in agenda. sometimes well meaning agendas, sometimes nefarious. This is reality, and reality isn't a post modernist blah blah ..*insert made up term to make it sound like you know what you're talking about here*
You are just reproducing typical feminist BS.

First of all, you applied hermeneutics of suspicion. That is an orientalist methodology of studying Islam. You assume that the laws and interpretations of the sources of laws serve power structure and social order. In other words, the scholars are oppressors. That idea stems from Feminist theory. It is a branch of post modernist philosophy of social science.

Basically you are one of those stupid and shallow brown people who don't know anything about non-western thought and view the whole world from a leftist secular liberal perspective.

It's an epidemic among Muslims and other people of color in Western societies. Bunch of dr.Martens wearing vegan transgender feminist social justice warriors.

You are so ignorant that you don't even know what you are saying. I guess people in America are generally more stupid than here in Europe.

    • I bet Iblis has a membership of TYT network and voted for Bernie Sanders in the primaries and self identifies as 'cisgendered man' and not not regular man because that may be insensitive towards transgender men.

Wait, feminist? really? Lol Where did that even come from?

It's not hermeneutics of suspicion. It certainly didn't originate from feminism. It's cultural context. That's a functionl tool of looking analyzing the past. And it's done all the time, even by Islamic Scholars.

you really just have nothing but narrative backing your views.

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

Not in Egypt? Hassan Al Banna? Muhammad Abduh?
Not in India?? Shah Waliyullah? Shah Ismail Shahid?
Not in Turkey? Beizzuddin Said Nursi?
Not in Afghanistan? Sayyid Jamaluddin Al Afghani?
Not in Algeria? Shaikh Abdul Qadir Juzairi?

Are you kidding me? Making flippant commentary isn't some going to compensate for your historical ignorance

          Go read a book

Gee Commies say the darndest things. Jackoff.
LOL those were the most "vigorous and prominent anti-imperialists" in those respective countries?

Nursis resistance was more prominent than Ataturks? Al Afghanis more so than Amanullah Khans?

No one suggest Islamists never played a role in anti colonial resistance. I said Islam, at least in the form we've seen it for the better part of the last 5 centuries, is a god send to imperialists

They lost a couple soldiers, but still dominate the Islamic world in the end

But you keep eating that low hanging fruit

Is this some sort of weird revisionist double think? Both Attaturk and Aman-wanted to BE Europeans; that's mental/cultural colonialism at its worst. Aman Even went as far as to parade his wife in front of European men in hopes of trying to gain their approval. You don't do that if you're fighting a resistance. If you claim Islam is a God send to imperialists". Aman and Attaturk were must have been the Sacred Cow of Europeans, because they were doing the Imperialist's work for them.

Only a clueless goof ball with no forsight thinks liberating and/or modernizing your country means wearing Top Hats and Charlie Chaplin Mustaches and dancing the Charleston. Any legitimate anti-colonial movement means creating a balance between advancement , so your people can adapt and face new challenges, with the underlying core values of your society. Hassan Al Banna, Jamaluddin Al Afghani and Nursi ALL emphasized and stressed this very crucial concept: evolving without compromising principles. Otherwise You become culturally colonized, which is worse than military colonization. Look at what happened in Iran.

            Attaurk and Aman = Joke
