Again, pointless claim. If we're looking at 'oldest' in terms of oldest civilisation, then that again would be the one that was based in modern-day Pakistan; Harrapa, Mohenjedaro and Mehrgarh; today's Punjab, Sindh and Balochistan.

So you prefer a Jewish state over an Islamic state? How is one better than the other?

Wrong. Pakistan isn't for Islam. That's the argument ultra-nationalists and religious Muslims use. Pakistan was made to safeguard minorities in British India. Muslims, Dalits, Christians were all oppressed to some extent. If Pakistan means anything, it's a homeland for British Indian Muslims. That doesn't mean anything pre-Islamic in Pakistan, or non-Islamic should be purged.

Thats exacly what he means....Half of Pakistan (Iranian in origine) had nothing to do with the other half (Indian)...hence they being stitched together (using Islam as the glue)....the fact that there is a controversy regarding borders, is a testamente to your country having baseless grounds for existing...there are No Border disputes with Iran, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, etc....all these lands belong to people under the same umbrella (they recognize One another as of a similar stock, despite regional differences), where as Pakistan is made up of two entirely different continental plates being stitched together....your countries natural borders ends with the Indus River...you panjus belong to India wether you like it or not...lol...the Pashtunistan and Baluchistan parts dont....

With that logic India/hindustanis historically speaking are the same, the amount of different races in your country do not form a homogeneous population.

Your logic of countries having to depend on having the same ancestral background in order to work is also completely flawed, one only needs to look at the world to see countries where this does actually happen.

idiot difference is, all Indian populations are related to each other, despite speaking different languages, cultures etc..

while a pathan is vastly different from a punjabi or sindhi, unless they are some mixed hybrid people

The other poster is right though. Punjabis and Sindhis are Indians. But Baloch and Afghans are not, and are very different from Indians, having unrelated languages, cultures and histories to Indians.

Indians have always been acknowledged as having many different kingdoms and factions among them, but are still considered to belong to "one" race, country, civilization or whatever you want to call it.

This is not just the view of Indians themselves in their own historical writings. It is also the view of them in the writings of the Persians, Greeks, Romans, Arabs etc

The scribes of Darius I of Persia wrote about them in the 5th century BC, and there are also many texts written about India by Greek and Roman authors from the 3rd century BC to the 1st century AD (and beyond). They all corroborate each other in that India is viewed as a diverse but unified entity (just look up the writings of Megasthenes, Arrain, Strabo,
Nearchus, Diodorus, Plutarch etc on India).

Later in history you find in Arabic and Persian texts the same conclusions that the Indian subcontinent is diverse, but considered to be a whole. European explorers also had the same observations, so did the Mughals, and so did the British.

No matter how desperate Pakis are to deny themselves from their Indian mother and father, you cant argue with history, and what even your eyes tell you about Pakis and Indians being the same sh**.

Point wasnt about Afghanistan being based on 'common ethnicity'. It was about your lying Jat brown hole claiming that Afghanistan was "stiched" together by Russians and British. It wasnt. It was "stiched" together by Afghans.

Awh man there's no wounds on us pal. Baloch and Afghans though. Wouldn't wanna be you guys haha

Of course. You want to be "Persian" But you are a paki and can never be.

By British-Indian I was referring to the regions under the British Raj, KPK-Fata and Balochistan included. I don't deny I'm Indian by origin, or that Punjabis and Sindhis in general are. In fact the origin of Baloch and Pashtuns may well have some tie with India. They're the only Iranic groups with the rolling 'R', the hard 'd' and 't' sounds, all of which are Indian in origin. Pashto words like 'lekal' (to write) share some commonality with the old Sanskrit word 'lekhan'. That's just one word to name.

Tbh, I don't care if people are a different ethnicity, we're human beings not bound by ethnic/religious or tribal affiliation.

Same goes for us then. We rallied for Pakistan, we made it. At the end of the day Balkh, Badakhshan, Jowzjan and Panjshir have nothing in common by way of language to the Pashtun south and were never historically considered Afghans. Among some of these lands were part of the Kingdom of Bokhara until Dost Mohammad annexed them. In the south the Durand line still remains to this day the internationally recognized border b/w Afg and Pak. Seriously, I know it's hard but don't try bull**** logic on me Mr. Raisani.

Sure. Just like the Pashtun kings who preferred Farsi over their own language, or the Baloch who consider themselves Iranian, even though most Iranians think they're Pakis.

You know what? Even though I don't want to give the Paki Keyboard Warrior Nationalists any ammo.....I have to agree, Afghanistan ...the modern state is bull****....all nations of this day and age are. Our history is mired both internally and externally.

This is why I often end up siding with Tajiks, because a lot of our Nationalist Narrative is farcical as well ...however Pakistan's is farcical from top to bottom, it is completely manufactured ...ours is manufactured but still rooted in some semblance of a historical narrative that was organic.

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

Instead of trying to one up each other, we should bring ourselves up. Times have changed. Holding on to such history is simply regarded as baggage. Pashtun, Punjabi, Indian, whatever the ****.. We should try to make ourselves better in any way we can. If you guys cry about Pakistanis doing something wrong, and we react saying Afghanis have done this wrong, what does it matter? Trust me man. I'm not trying to rob you of your identity as an Afghan or Pashtun, but at the same time we should try to practice the religion that we preach to others.

                            Just my thinking. Peace.

Dude, I don't wanna fight Afghans on it because I would side with you against Pakistan's foreign policy and state terrorism. But if people here seriously believe that Afghanistan was not merged together by colonial powers, then that's a falsehood. The Afghan flag has the date of independence on it which apparently translates to 1919? That was during the treaty of Rawalpindi after the 3rd war... which again, probably wasn't a victory or a loss.

If people here want to call Pakistani nationalists out on their bull**** that's fine, but don't believe ridiculous claims 'Afghans made Afghanistan and Brits made Pakistan'. That's an anti-scientific claim.

True Afghanistan is a name with a longer history, whereas Pakistan was coined in 1940.

so WHAT? We already know that. Even the 1/3 that lives in Afghanistan is originally from India. Whats your point? What are you trying to prove here?
