    Do Arabs HATE PAKISTANi?
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VbyoXbZUNcM

Proves how worthless Pakistanis think of themselves…especially since a person or people that need the perception of others to evaluate their identity lacks self-esteem, self-respect and most of all is a slave of what others think of them. No wonder Pakistanis hates us Afghans--bc they need our approval--like a child needs parent's... in order to justify their self worth----Pakis are telling themselves---look we are burning a fire in land and People of Ghanzavi, Goris, Lodis, Suri, durranis and rest...we are not good for nothing people that come to being 70 years ago.lol

On other hand, Afghans—not just Pashtuns but all Afghans… no matter how uneducated, ill-informed or even ignored he is, will always think of him/herself as king/queen. Specially our village people, I have seen this in recent arrival to US…there high self-esteem and confidence (I admit when deal with recent arrival it gets annoying) but no matter how rich or power an Afghan will always act superior.

90% of the threads made here on these things have been made by Afghans, just like this one. Most of this forum is about bitching on about Punjabis, desis, 'Indics' and whatnot. It's funny that you have to put down other ethnic groups and cultures to feel better about yourself and yours. Really pathetic. And Ghoris and Ghaznavies were Turkics not Afghans.

Ghorids were Tajik/Persians and Ghaznawids were Persianized Turks. Both of them were from Khorasan aka modern Afghanistan. So Azmal is right to some degree.

But at the end of the day Pashtun nationalists are like many of you Pakis: they need to relate themselves to other people and steal their cultural heritage in order to feel better.

Yeah, Ghaznavids were Turks but Ghorid origin isn't totally confirmed Tajik. I would've thought that Tajiks would have been Zoroastrians at that time?

"The Ghuristan region remained primarily populated by Hindus and Buddhists till the 12th century. It was then Islamised and gave rise to the Ghurids.

The rise to power of the Ghurids at Ghur, a small isolated area located in the mountain vastness between the Ghaznavid empire and the Seljukids, was an unusual and unexpected development. The area was so remote that till the 11th century, it had remained a Hindu enclave surrounded by Muslim principalities. It was converted to Islam in the early part of the 12th century after Mahmud raided it, and left teachers to instruct the Ghurids in the precepts of Islam. Even then it is believed that paganism, i.e. a variety of Mahayana Buddhism persisted in the area till the end of the century.[5]"

And being from a region matters little e.g Akbar was born in Sindh so was he a 'Sindhi'?

Ghorids were not Persians or so called Tajiks. They didn't speak farsi. They might have spoken an eastern iranian language which is now obselete but they definitely were not Tajik/Persian because they didn't speak Farsi.

Pashtuns have a their own history and have produced numerous rulers who have ruled over India, modern Pakistan, Iran, Afghanistan etc. We have our own literature, culture, way of life which is unique to us.
Unlike Tajiks who used to be Soghdians, Bactrians, parthians but forgot their own language and adopted Farsi which is a south western Iranian language originating from Fars province of modern day Iran and related to middle and old persian, we Pashtuns have our own Eastern Iranian language called Pashto. To me it is actually Tajiks who were weak and submitted to the Persian language because of its prestige. DNA results show Pashtuns and Tajiks of Afghanistan as the closest people to each other besides Pamiris but Pashtuns retained their eastern iranian language while Tajiks forgot their own language.
It is true that Farsi has been the lingua Franca for more than a 1000 years and Pashto language can't compare in terms of the amount of literature etc. It is still our language and we are proud of it.

You need to take it easy with your assumptions, these videos have been done by other nationalities as well such as Brits, Americans etc and its just for fun to see what other people's perceptions are. Its not done for validation reasons. There are other videos where people try food of other countries and share their opinion. Its not a big deal.

Ghorids were Iranians, they adopted Farsi.. ergo they were Tajiks. Vast majority of modern Ghorians are Tajik too. They were patrons of Persian culture and Persian language. That in my book means Tajik. In any case Pashtuns have no right to steal our heritage, brother.

We did not forget our language, Shapur khan. Farsi always has been used as lingua franca in the region since our glorious ancestor Cyrus came and united all the Aryan tribes (Pashtun ancestors too). We saved and adopted Farsi, dear brother. Man, thats curious. I am from Herat, province next to modern Ghor. Herat before Islam was an important zoroastrian city, with several fire temples all over the city (one of them was huge, Sereshk).. But seems Ghor, despite being just few miles away, had completely different language and religion. Nowadays there is not too much difference between Heratis and Ghoris. Most of them are Tajiks and their soft Pasabani Persian accent is not much different than Herat´s Khorasani accent.

I don't care about Punjabis. I just want them to stop interfering in my country. Actually I have many Pakistani friends, from Karachi and Lahore. So its not personal. Aint going to hate over a stup*d incident that took place centuries ago.

                        About Ghor, this is written:

"The region had previously been conquered by Mahmud of Ghazni, and the population converted to Islam.[11]
It was also the last stronghold of an ancient religion professed by the inhabitants when all their neighbors had become Muhammadan. In the 11th century AD Mahmud of Ghazni defeated the prince of Ghor Ibn–I-Suri, and made him prisoner in a severely contested engagement in the valley of Ahingaran. Ibn-I-Suri is identified a Hindu by the author, who has recorded his overthrow.[12]"

It's true that Ghorids eventually adopted Farsi and were its patrons, no one can argue with that. Even the Turko-mongol Mughals were patrons of Farsi language. No one can deny the prestige of Persian among Iranic tribes.
Farsi is like English, it has been adopted and used by many due to its influcence. English is the official language of India, Does it make Indians English now or Canadians English?
There is no concrete evidence Ghorids were Pashtuns so all those claims are silly and no one takes them seriously.

I am not disputing any of the things you have said. Indeed Khorasan was the center of persian culture after arrival of Islam and Western Iran became known as Arab e Ajam. I am quite familiar with how Khorasanis saved persian heritage.
Ofcouse Persian culture wasn't alien but persian language was one of several Iranian languages and its a fact ancestors of Tajiks didn't speak Farsi but spoke their own regional languages such as Bactrian, Soghdian, Parthian etc and only adopted Farsi after arrival of Islam because Samanids, Saffarids etc adopted Farsi as their official language. Similar to what happened to the Levant and North Africa who adopted a fellow Semitic language called Arabic because it became the lingua franca after Islam and forgot their own languages like Aramaic, Phoenician etc. They are all Semitic languages but still distinct from one another. Its just sad that all of these languages were lost. One day we might all speak English, lol

Good point Shapur khan, but its not correct in our context. In our country ethnicity and culture play a huge role (unlike England or Australia): in Afghanistan, if you are ethnically Iranic and culturally Persian, you are a Tajik. If you are ethnically Turkic-Mongol but culturally Persian, then you are a Hazara. So hell yeah, lets consider this: you are ethnically Pashtun (ergo Iranic), but culturally Persian. You can't speak Pashto, you don't care about Pashtun values nor their ways.. your mother tongue is Farsi, you live in a Tajik city, you are 24/7 surrounded by Tajiks, you celebrate nawrooz, you name your kids after Persian heros, you marry a Tajik girl/boy.. oh man, you are Tajik then. Cultural assimilation. But the thing is in the same scenario but instead a Pashtun with an Englishman, I would never consider him a Tajik. Never.

A language to become worldwide lingua franca needs a strong country behind. Since most of Western nations are in decay I assume English won't take over. Actually I believe regionalism is back so every region will have one dominant language: ME Persian or Arabic, Central Asia Russian or Persian, South Asia Hindi, Eastern Asia Mandarin, Europe French or German,.. and so on.

Ghurids (its ruling family) were claiming descent from Zuhak bin Tazi, the mythical demonic ruler of Persia of Syrian descent. They were not Turks. They had Turk slaves in their service, just like Khorasanian Samanids were keeping Turkic slave soldiers and commanders. They had also free Khilji and Afghan mercenaries in their service. Claiming descent from mythical figures of Persia, was a fashion in this part of world. Hasan Ganju who was native of Ghazni and founded the Bahmanid dynasty of Deccan , claimed descent from Kay Bahman, the mythological figure of Iran. Ghurid dynasty belongs to Afghanistan, if not ethnic Afghans.

The so called Ghaznavids were not exactly indigenous Ghaznavids by roots. They were Turkic slaves of Central Asia in the service of Samanids. One of the Turkic slave Alpatagin dispossessed indigenous rulers of Ghazni, the Lawiks, and ruled Ghazni as nominal vassals of Samanid empire. Sebuktagin (father of Mahmud Ghaznavi), the fifth Turkic slave commander ruling Ghazni, was born in Barskhan district of Kyrgyzstan. He declared independence from Samanid empire.

If we have to probe this much deeper about ethnicity of rulers of Afghanistan, the same approach can be applied to history of Punjab. I say Porus was not Punjabi. There is no source or evidence which points towards Punjabi identity of Porus. Bahlol Lodi was also born in Punjab and yet he was of Afghan descent. Same might be the case with Porus. There is no evidence that Punjabi language existed 600 years ago let alone millennium ago.
