Unfortunately in Pakistan, if you are not anti Indian or Hindu, you are considered a traitor by default so there is immense pressure to be anti India and Hindu. That's not what they teach in Pakistan. In Pakistan they teach "Pakistan ka matlab kya? La Illaha Illallah" meaning Pakistan (land of the pure) was created based on Islam. Unlike Afghanistan where the country is named after an ethnicity (Afghan=Pashtun), Pakistan is a federation of serveral ethnicities. They are taught that all these ethnic groups are willing partners in this confederation based on Islam. That's why Pashtuns in Pakistan are willing to fight for this confederation and they will find it quite offensive if you tell them they are fighting for Punjabistan or another ethnicity. Whether you call this brainwashing, simple mindedness, stupidity or something else. That's how many see or want to see things to save face.
Talking too much about one ethnic group or another will land you in trouble and you will be labeled as munafiq, not a good muslim, racist etc and anti Pakistani which will automatically make you anti Islam since Pakistan means the fortress of Islam.

I'm going to play devil's advocate here.

Pakistan meant different things at different points in history. The reality is, Muslims were dominating the sub-continent prior to the British. Once the British came in, they flipped that narrative on it's head. Now Hindus were the educated, more powerful class, whereas the Muslims were left behind. For this reason MA Jinnah was working tirelessly to try and ensure their rights were protected and after they couldn't reach any agreement, partition was inevitable.

Since independence, it went from being secular, including have an alcohol industry, to being Islamic. Things change. Most of the people have property and lives in Pakistan... letting it go for such an uncertain idea of joining Afghanistan, which is considered by many to be a step down, is a tough sell. How will you convince even a racist who hates all other ethnicities in the region, except his own, that he needs to forget about his X in Karachi, or Y in Lahore, or Z in outskirts of Multan?

There are practical issues that are difficult to address, and until there's a viable reason to jump ship, you can't reasonably keep shouting at "Gul Khans" for choosing what is rationally a lesser of 2 poor options. In their minds there’s too little to gain, and too much to lose. Some guys need to address this before anything.

How much of that do you agree with? .. If we narrow it down a little more and think about the scenario of a man that has been taught that he should fight for his land then what's his mindset??. What do these anti-Pakistan guys think - that people from KP will say "come Hindu's drop your bombs, we took all your nuclear threatening to obliterate us a joke" "don't worry fucck our economy and destroy our means to eat, farm, go to school" .. What do people expect?? .. They all have citizenship to a country that lets them free travel to any province, work live and be involved in police, politics and look eye to eye with anyone else from any corner of the country and say I'm Pakistani as much as you are. Would love to see things from that perspective but I can't manage to go that far up my rectum. But then again, it's your opinion. I just don't believe that you should help people who mock you behind your back, and then willingly go and fight for them under the notion of "brothers in Islam".
