How do Pakistani Pakhtuns (i.e. Most of the Pakhtuns on planet Earth) "act weird"?
They act hypocrite most of the time, most of Afghan PAshtun who hate the west or western culture would never migrate or move to the west, meanwhile pashtun in pakistan spit on western values and culture when they are in pakistan but will sell their own just to move there.

Act and say that PAshtun in Afghanistan are persianised by posting farsiban or tajik singers, when they themself mix pashtu with urdu and english all the time. And in your movies, dramas and tv shows you all act like Desis, nothing wrong with desis, but pointing fingers to us being persianised when you yourself have no Pashtun culture left. The only persianised Pashtun were in Kabul, and they were actualy more westernised than persianised, becuase wearing suits and ties is western culture not that from persians. The rest is quite Pashtun as it can get.

Also the pornographic dance movies that you make and call it culture is so weird and not to forget the sucking up to punjabis. like they did so much good, when most of pashtun areas look the same as in wartorn Afghanistan....and they even allow drone strikes on your land. And you still dare to claim being free, at least Afghanistan is invaded and accupied what excuse do you people have?

Oh the bigest of them all, you think that Pakistan is some Islamic super power that is doing good thing for all muslims... like siriously.... -_-

Pakistan wasn't created for Indic people, it was created on the basis of Islam, geography and history/heritage. There is no such thing as "Indic" in our vocabulary. If you're referring to IVC then even Afghanistan was apart of it.

There are double the amount of Pashtuns in Karachi than there is in Kabul.
There are 3 times more Pashtuns in Punjab than there is in Afghanistan.

I don't know where you get this "Punjabi - Punjabi" drama from. There is NO such thing as a Punjabi. "Punjabi" is a language, nothing else. Punjab is a multi-ethnic region; with hundreds of different ethnicities and cultures. In Punjab you have Pashtuns, Jatts, Baluch, Kashmiri, Muhajir, Sheikh, Arain, Rajput, and ect....

Here in Pakistan, our ancestory and ethnicity can go to hell! Islam and Pakistan above all else, Allah hu Akbar.

This is a country of Islam, no one cares whether they are Pashtun, Kashmiri, Punjabi, Baluchi, Sindhi - at the end of the day we are Muslims and even united by culture, history, genetics and ect... We won't let some names tear us apart.

Pashtuns are more patriotic than any other ethnic group in Pakistan.

You feel our culture to be different because you are raised (and probably born) in West.....you are a westernized Pashtun.....if you are married , and have sons and daughters, they are no longer speaking Pashto, i am sure of that.

I have met numerous Pashtuns of Afghanistan, i find their customs , traditions, and nature more or less same to us........its actually remarkable that Pashtun tribes from Harnai (Balochistan) down south have commonalities with those of Kunduz in extreme north. The concept of Pashto (Pashtunwali) is same on both sides of border......

You, Khushal and others here..... say "weird" and alien things, because you people are not familiar with the native villages of your country and have heard stuff from your daddies or uncles. Majority of you lot , have even given up on Islam, have become atheists etc.......an ex-member here was burning Quran in the video

I was born in Afghanistan and have lived there for several year, I have spent enough time to learn Pashto and our culture. At home we still speak PAshto with each other, I am not married and dont have any kids.

Making pornographic dance videos, shaking heads when speaking, using tons of make up in tv shows, laughing hard and just being classles and mixing english and urdu language with pashto is not our culture. Paki Pashtun act weird becuase most of them have mixed up their way of talking and siting, just watch one hour of shamshad tv, or zhwandun tv and then watch one hour of Khyber tv. You will see how diffrent you paki PAshtun have become.

Please look at yourself first before you start to atack others on what they are or not.

You should watch some Khyber Tv and see how Paki Pashtuns have become. Most PAshtun who fled to Pakistan during war and grew up there have diffrent way of thinking and have diffrent perspective on life.

Here in Europe you can see quite clearly who was raised in Afghanistan and who was raised in Pakistan or Iran. And that not only with PAshtun, hazaras and tajiks also are diffrent when they have grew up in Iran or Afghanistan.

There are some differences but they're usually very subtle. I believe there's more difference between Kandahar and Jalalabad than Jalalabad and Malakand. I will say the more dramatic differences happen the further from the Afghan border you go. No doubt there are some "Desi" influences in some regions. On the flipside you have places like Farah and Nimroz that have strong Persian influence. Even Noorzai tribe don't speak Pashto anymore, all of them are Farsizuban. But Quetta is JUST like Kandahar, I mean JUST like it, not just accent but even mannerisms, behavior, and most of the same tribes.

Physically speaking, I'd say the men look more or less the same, but women tend to be a bit more ghanem rang in the Pakistani parts. NOT that I mind since I love the look of Pashtana features with gandumi complexion. Also, Afghan girls in North America at least, have a really bad weight problem, I haven't married with Afghan girls precisely because they unfortunately tend to be a bit obese or have manly jawlines. yuck. But Pashtaney from Pakistan tend to be lean, more feminine, little shorter and much better manners.

And who is this Khostai khezlak to even comment; his worldview, temperament, and manners are more praday/begana than even someone from Hindkowal village on the sarhad of Punjab. This European toilet bowl cleaner should stick to what he knows best and make Belgian waffles for his landlord. He may speak Pashto, but he's no better than a Desi store clerk.

By the way, why are you remarking negatively about Khushal lala? He's actually much more fair and balanced than chinjai (Khostai)

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

Agreed. People of Bajaur and Kunar, facing each other , are indistinguishable.........people in their ignorance put it as Afghanistani vs Pakistani , but the differences in dialects and appearances are from North to South instead of East to West along the Durand....Its the Pashtuns on fringes, as mentioned by you, who are heavily-influenced by non-Pashtun neighbors both in Pakistan and Afghanistan.......Balochs are not Desis/Indics, yet they have influenced language, race and culture of many Pashtun tribes on the fringes.

It's definitely true that Pakistanis in general (Whether Pakhtun or not) that don't have dual citizenship of any sort do want to get dual citizenship. This is for 1 very simple reason: Money (and to a lesser extent, work experience).

However, I have to be a bit skeptical about Afghan Pakhtuns not having a desire to migrate elsewhere. With the recent refugee thing going on where the Arabs are going to Europe there were many non Arabs that were also refugees. This included Afghans, to the extent that some countries in Europe decided to be racist **** in public (usually they act like they're not racist **** in public, but this time they didn't even bother acting) and ban Afghans from coming in as refugees. Are you telling me these are only Hazaras and Tajiks?

Act and say that PAshtun in Afghanistan are persianised by posting farsiban or tajik singers, when they themself mix pashtu with urdu and english all the time. I don't know... I've been browsing this site, and I've come to understand that the Pashtun population numbers are likely underestimated in Afghanistan because many Pashtuns don't even speak Pashto any more, and they just speak foorsi. The stats don't measure ethnicity, they measure mother tongue.

I've also seen people post quotes in foorsi... I don't know a word of foorsi, so it didn't make any sense to me, but that person seemed very comfortable with it.

You are right about mixing in Urdu. This is because both sides of the border are not doing enough to support the Pashto language to the point that each side has it's own borrowed words.

This is a small thing and fairly similar both sides. It's like 1 person saying they like blue and another person saying they like red.

If the language is purified and there is no need for borrowed words, I guarantee both sides will discard the borrowed words.

Also the pornographic dance movies that you make and call it culture is so weird and not to forget the sucking up to punjabis.
What sucking up to punjabis? lol... if anything, pakhtuns (especially if they have fair skin) in pak make it a point to point out that they're pathans. I've seen this when I was doing the equivalent of high school in Pakistan. Punjabis are seen as common, low quality material. Pathans are premium products.

like they did so much good, when most of pashtun areas look the same as in wartorn Afghanistan....and they even allow drone strikes on your land. And you still dare to claim being free, at least Afghanistan is invaded and accupied what excuse do you people have?
I agree on the lack of development part. Everyone in the country knows this, we always are vocal... but we're out numbered. It's not just KPK, but Balochistan and rural Sindh as well. This is not news, and it's one of the most commonly argued topic.

With regards to drones: the nig-cunt in the white house is guilty of that. Few countries in the world can fight back against their military. The days of valor are over unfortunately. It's all about how good the machine is. Pak should shoot it down, but we know the nig-cunt will ensure there's repercussions.

Oh the bigest of them all, you think that Pakistan is some Islamic super power that is doing good thing for all muslims... like siriously.... -_-
That's a separate topic, and each person you talk to will have a different opinion on this. Pakistanis do tend to be on the religious side, and Pakhtuns do happen to be religious people.

I can't comment too much on this one... you'll have to talk to specific people that think this last part.

                        – M.C. Chagla, Roses in December, as quoted in book Jinnah of Pakistan by Stanley Wolpert

"As we were drinking our coffee and enjoying our sausages, in came an old, bearded Muslim with a young boy of about ten years of age, probably his grandson. They came and sat down near Jinnah. It was obvious that they had been directed from Town Hall… I then saw the boy’s hand reaching out slowly but irresistibly towards the plate of pork sausages. After some hesitation, he picked up one, put it in his mouth, munched it and seemed to enjoy it tremendously. I watched this uneasily… After some time they left and Jinnah turned to me, and said angrily: “Chagla, you should be ashamed of yourself.” I said: ” What did I do?” Jinnah asked: “How dare you allow the young boy to eat pork sausages?” I said: “Look, Jinnah, I had to use all my mental faculties to come to a quick decision. The question was: should I let Jinnah lose his election or should I let the boy go to eternal damnation? I chose in your favour.”

Your hero Ghani is not that much different. By your logic, the Paki gov and the Afghani gov is the same. Neither work for their people.
