1. A lot of these guys have nothing intelligent to say to address your points but come out with childish nonsense such as "Jennifer" etc or the Yemeni psychopath and his standard mantra which he repeats like a parrot of "inferiority complex" ad nauseam.

Many of these "Islamist" kids raised in the west enjoy the benefits of a relatively free, tolerant society with a liberal democratic political system which albeit not perfect (and I am critical of it too though playing a constructive role) is one which they chose to live in rather than live in ISIS-run Raqqah or Taliban-run Helmand or Wahabi-ruled Saudi Arabia.

Though I am a believer and very religious (I read Quran regularly, did a khatm in Ramadan and have read another 9 Juz since then) including knowledge (it's more than "belief", I have seen certain personal miracles so I know there is a creator) of the creator, I have noticed that a lot of the more educated and intellectual people from some of the non-Arab Muslim countries tend to be "secular" or less inclined to conservative religious fundamentalism and they are acutely aware of the problems that traditional (mis)interpretations of Islam bring e.g. oppression of women, a backwards society etc.

Many of the childish western "Islamists" however have never lived in such a society apart from enjoying nice 2 week holidays in Afghanistan/Pakistan/Bangladesh and have a romantic image of an idyllic, "pure", "Muslim" society which should be preserved and not be "contaminated" by modernization i.e. in effect remain stagnant and thus unable to provide for the socio-economic needs of their people. They are not fully aware of how backwards many Muslim societies are and the suffering of certain marginalized groups.


3. Change is coming and one of the biggest agents of this change are the educated Muslim middle classes and youth. The failure of the "Arab Spring", chaos in the middle east, ISIS and other such things have made the Arab world question traditional interpretations of Islam as the dysfunctionality of the Arab world (and Muslim world in general) are highlighted in a very clear manner.

I commend you for being engaged in a noble effort that of uplifting women in your part of the world despite the many hurdles you find. Persevere, continue with it, even if it's for another 20-30 years.

Some people live without making a difference to anyone (like some of the Wahabi/Arab nationalist trolls here e.g. Shameless Khurasani and Al-Yemeni) so just to make a difference to one person's life is a great achievement, whereas you could make a difference to the lives of at least tens if not hundreds or perhaps even more people i.e. females.

We should try to engage in discussion rather than labeling people this or that…In my opinion the biggest flaw in the history of human beings has been absolute thinking and when humans set off on the wrong course with false concepts…just think about all the wasted lives and resources.
