Afghan woman escapes attempted rape in a hospital in India

An Afghan woman escaped attempted rape by a housekeeper in a hospital in Delhi, the capital city of India.

The incident took place on 24th July where the housekeeper sexually abused the woman who was accompanying her mother in the hospital for the treatment.

India’s Max Hospital in Saket where the incident took place has confirmed the incident and said the suspect a 21-year-old employee of the hospital has been arrested.

The suspect Amar Singh was produced before a magistrate’s court on July 25, and was remanded in judicial custody till August 8, according to the local newspapers.

According to the police statement cited in local media reports, Singh allegedly entered their room and inappropriately touched the woman, who was sleeping. She woke up and started screaming.
She, along with her sister, tried to push him out of the room as the accused allegedly molested her, the police added.
The statement further added that the victim fell down in the scuffle, breaking her teeth as Singh fled the room but was caught by a security staff and was handed over to the police.

Max Healthcare issued a statement, saying, “We follow a zero-tolerance policy on any sexual misconduct incident with our employees or patients and their families. We have a comprehensive induction policy for our on-rolls and contractual employees. We also train our employees on compassion and correct conduct. We are highly disturbed about this condemnable incident in the hospital by a contractual employee.”

The statement further added “He was immediately handed over to the police and terminated by his employer on our instruction. We actively worked and supported the police in their investigation. The victim was admitted to the hospital and was provided all medical help to overcome trauma. The victim along with other family members have since left for Afghanistan.”

Pa Makha de kha, good luck with whatever you are doing.

On topic, all females in that part of the world should never travel in another country without a male companion if they can. It is a sad reality. Having said that these sorts of incidents are extremely rare and we can't generalise the whole of India for the actions of a few. I am sure Indians are more disgusted and ashamed by this than anyone else.

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

If it is about preaching Islam and not politics....then why are Tablighi Jamhat not even present in Punjab?....Why they have their HQ near Badshahi Masjid of Lahore---a few miles from oldest brothel in region--Harih Bazaar---yet they are most active in Pashtuns land?

These groups have clear political agenda... created and financed by Pashtun enemies...it has nothing to do with religion or any pretense to moral virtue.

Deobandi movement predates Pakistan and it is originally from India.

Pakistani army saw the structure and discipline of the Tableeghi Jamaat and cooped it in order to further its own interests. The Tableeghi movement like many other religious movements is infiltrated by ISI.

They are using the network of the organization to promote political interests of Pakistan and to gather intelligence on hostile nations, anti-Pakistani imams and preachers.

The same thing applies to many Salafi/ ahlul hadeeth groups in Pakistan. Their leaders are on ISI payroll and they may seem hostile towards other religious groups but in essence they all serve the interests of ISI.

The army only cracks down on Salafis & deobandi when it fails to control them and force them to serve.

it is very difficult to be a deobandi or a Salafi in Pakistan and preach/teach without harassment, fear of arrest and even murder.

These groups are often used to recruit pro Pakistani Taliban and Hizbe Islami fighters among Afghan refugees in Pakistan.

Independent and groups totally detached from ISI control are very rare and they stay very low low profile. There is no such a thing as religious freedom in Pakistan. Either you are with ISI or you are a target in plain sight.

It's not just about India, any (fairskinned) women going to dark skinned countries will face this. Do you think white women will have any chance in going to Punjab/Sindh, India, Africa etc....

Unfortunately the darker people (men) are astonished when they see a whiter women, they can't control themselves, and in a poor places like India, Pakistan, Africa etc, they wont hesitate to rape

The best solution is for women, especially whiter women to not go alone, always stay in groups

They will have lesser problems over there yes, because Afghans are use to seeing their women, unlike Indians, Pakistanis, Africans etc... Though obviously rape can happen everywhere

You are now talking like a real coconut. You are being a racist against dark skinned people. All racist white supremacists accuse dark skinned men of being rapists.

You think if you repeat everything they say, somehow you can become one of them.
