  • were Afghan rulers pashtunist?

The flat headed amu Jumper claims that late Doud khan was a pashtonist and then in same sentence he contradicts himself and states "He also boosted Persian language and Persian culture among the Afghan society and the government." -- reason I call him a flat head lol but let’s forget these people....I want to have this discussion among ourselves.

If you look at our region, all states activity imposed the language of majority on their minorities…Urdu was promoted to national language simply because it is sister language of Punjabi and much different than Bengali(whom made the majority before creation of Bangladesh), Pashto, and Balochi. In Iran the minorities have no rights to their language or even religion and it is not just Akhond regime but even during Shah. Same is true in Turkey, Kurd's are being massacred and discouraged to even identify as a Kurd. Tajikistan’s national poet Sadriddin Ayni writes how he was beaten and imprisoned for simply speaking Tajiki in court of Emirate of Bukhara who was an Uzbak, today in Uzbekistan speaking Tajiki is a crime. Yet in Afghanistan Pashtuns rulers from Ahmad Shah baba to now Ghani never tried to impose Pashto or Pashtun culture on minorities...even worst all the rulers have activity boosted Dari language. All Dari academy of science under Doud khan did was to create new words that was not in Dari language, just as Shah of Iran created new words and tried to de-Arabized Farsi language by creating new words and phrases. Even the word Pohantoon has roots word of Pohan—knowledge which is old Avestan/Persian language. Yet the aversions some of these amu Jumpers are showing to Pashton rulers are mind blowing. The good news is by politicizing Dari language which was multi-ethnic and multinational language they are actually damaging the language usage and will force Pashtons to promote Pashto---enough is enough!
We can also use English as language of learning, what good is Farsi language anyways? What was invited or created with Farsi? A language of Pedophilia poetry and depression.

Here is some example of pedophilia in Farsi

O boy, if you want to gladden my heart / You must give me kisses after serving me wine (Ey pesar gar del-e man kard hamiḵᵛāhi šād / Az pas-e bāda marā busa hami bāyad dād; Farroḵi [d. 1038] Divān, p. 46).

O boy, you carry the business of beauty beyond all limits / With such beauty you expect me to bide my time? Impossible! (Ey pesar nik ze ḥadd mibebari kār-e jamāl / Bā čonin ḥosn ze to ṣabr konam? In’t moḥāl; Natáanzi, quoted by Šams-e Qays [13th century], p. 326).

A beau with a candle in hand is an affliction / (A beau) heavy-headed with love’s slumber and intoxicated with wine (Fetna bāšad šāhedi šamʿi be dast / Sar gerān az ḵᵛāb-o sarmast az šarāb; Saʿdi [d. ca. 1290], Ḡazaliāt, p. 15).

This boy who stood up walks gracefully / He is a cypress walking so straight! (Ḵoš miravad in pesar ke barḵāst / Sarvi’st ke miravad čonin rāst;Saʿdi, Ḡazaliāt, p. 25).

One of the ghazals of Awḥadi of Marāḡe (b. 1270, p. 127) has “o boy” (ey pesar) as its refrain (radif) and begins with the following line:
Your fragrant tresses are like a trap, o boy / Your face resembles the full moon, o boy! (Zolf-e moškinat čo dām ast ey pesar / ʿĀreżat māh-e tamām ast ey pesar; Divān, p. 233).
Sanāʿi (d. ca. 1141), has no fewer than five successive ghazals with pesar as their radif (Divān, pp. 891-96).

He was culturally a Tajik (his first language was Farsi and he lived in Kabul among Tajik people, while promoting Tajik culture). Politically he was Pashtunist. Since Persian is the language of culture, poetry and civilization, every single ruler in Khorasan adopted it as the lingua franca of his country: mongols, arabs, greeks, pashtuns,.. all of them eventually became Persianized. Its a historical fact baiyan

Finally you are starting you make some sense. Since Pashtuns are a minority group in Afghanistan and Tajiks are majority, Pashtuns failed to impose their tribal culture on the majority of the people.

      You owned yourself, brother. LOL

What is Tajik culture? You adopt the language of Fars and wear Pashtun cloths in Afghanistan and Turkic/Uzak cloths in central Asia. In fact the Ak-Sart or Tajik simply means town-dwellers as oppose to nomads thus it have NO particular ethnic identification. The problem is not you amu Jumper flat heads; the problem is us Pashtun, we lack nationalism. Take Ustad Khalili as example the guy was a red blooded Safi Pashtuns yet he glorified the thug Bachi Saqaw because he came from same region. You mention art and culture, the fact is Pashtun even dominates you in art and culture field…best poet of Afghanistan Ustad Khalili—a Pashtun…best singer Ahmad Zahir,Farhad Darya, Nashenas, Sariban, Zaland,Kheyal,Nainawaz and etc all Pashtuns…even Taranasaz(Mohamadzai mother) and Shabub brothers had/have Pashtuns mothers. You guys are inferior to us, it is just that we don’t have unity and lack nationalism or trust me we would have go all the way to Doshanbi.

We need more leaders in Afghanistan to be Pashtunist. These minority groups are getting too much recognition and rights, the more Pashtunist the leader the better. Iran is only 50% Persian, yet everything in the country is in Persian. We need to do the same in Afghanistan but with our culture.

Yeah.. all Pashtuns unable to speak Pashto. Ahmad Zahir: 99% his songs were in Farsi. Same with Nainawaz, Sarbanl,.. and so on. Same with Zahir Khan, Daud Khan, your communist leaders,.. and so on. Even your hero, Hekmatyar, got a Persian surname lol

Get over it, baiyan: Persian is the culture of art, civilization, poetry and culture. Pashto is the language of suicide bombers, drug dealers and terrorists. Dont even compare.

^^^ And you're a Mongol, that wishes he was Pashtun, can't even speak Pashto and isn't from a culturally Pashtun environment

Your opinion is even more irrelevant than his.

Anyone who wants evidence of AFB's ethnic origin, should look at the thread in History about the Origins of the Sayyids of Kunar.

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

LOL, you know its always tajiks from Afghanistan who grew up in the west, that will claim such stupid things, like "I speak farsi so I am persian" LOL. No bitch you are just a former slave who lost his original culture and language and his whole ID in the persian conquests. If speaking farsi means you are automaticaly persian then Iran would be 100% persian, but the truth is that around 40% is persian the rest are seen as other ethnicity.

It comes from root word Poha, which MAY originate from the Avestan words "vispa" which means "Total" or "comprehensive" or "hvpah" which means skillful.
