Indus Valley is India though. That's something we can't deny.

    Sindh = Hind = Indus = India.

I'm proud of my Indian heritage. My grandfather's side is Hindu and my grandmother's side is Buddhist.

No you don't get my point. Punjab and Sindh was part of ancient India. The Mahabharat and Bhagvad Gita was written here. Hinduism and Buddhism was born here too. Ancient Pakistan was India, if you get my drift.

Buddhist and Hindu by lineage, not by religion. Although I did meet a Buddhist recently in Pakistan. They mostly have 'Gautam' as their last name.

Edit: Even Peshawar's old name is 'Purushapura', which is Sanskrit for 'city of Kings'. It has many Buddhist and Hindu monuments there still.

You didn't get my point either, Pakistan was epic center from where noble people spread language and religion to all over subcontinent. It doesn't make us part of India or Sri Lanka, it's like saying we are part of Arabistan now.

Though historical borders of IVC include east punjab as well under Bharat occupation now.

you're muslim and your grandfather was hindu? Don't tell me we have another pseudo atheist on our hands here

Except Pakistan didn't exist before 1947, or did it? I get that by Pakistan you mean 'this region', but this region was pretty much India.

Punjabi, Sindhi, Kashmiri = Indo-Aryan languages, which are the Indian branch of Indo-European languages, the other being Indo-Iranian.

Afghanistan didn't exist either before 1919 so this is moot point. Names can be changed to anything we like, tomorrow Pakistan can pass resolution in parliament to change name. This line of thinking is getting pretty old and illogical by some people on internet foras.

You got your languages branch wrong. IA is branch of Indo-Iranian and IR is branch of IE languages.

Let's get back to topic. I agree with map you put up about loy Afghanistan because it's logical and doesn't include areas where non-pashtuns are majority. Now we just need to held referendum in both countries.

Map says Punjabi, Sindhi, Urdu and various others fall under Indic (Indian), which proves my point. Thanks for concluding the debate.

It was more to make a point towards the Pashtun nationalists who cry about the Durand line and say 'oh Porkistan is only 67 years old'. Well if Afghan means Pashtun, then give the Tajiks their own country. Once they do that they can ask for KPK & FATA.

I think someone pointed out correctly that this is in fact a pipe dream, and will never ever happen.

Just like pakiland the borders of panjab are fake and were also invented by the British in the late 1800s. Even the name panjab was imposed on the northwest of India by the Mughals, it has nothing to do with the people who live there. They did not choose to be known as "panjabis".

Panjabis of Pakiland are low caste converts from Hindus. Mostly belonging to Hindu castes like Juts, Chuhras, Gujjars, Arains and other smelly peoples. These people collectively are called "Punjabis" only since the 19th century. Previously they are known simply as Hindus to foreigners and by their "caste" among themselves.

Juts, Chuhras etc are found all over Pakiland (punjab and sindh) and northern India.

These pakis still claiming to be different from their Indian sisters based on 1947 British drawn Radicliff line are simply suffering from extreme racial inferiority complex and deep shame of knowing that they are descended from low caste Hindus now running around calling themselves British invented nation of "pakis"

All the native names for towns and villages in punjab (the names not imposed on them by Mughal and British masters of pakis) are pure Hindu like "Rawalpindi" (lmao...) "Gujranwala", "Lahore", "Gujrat", "Sahiwal", "Jhelum", "Rajanpur" etc etc these are pure Hindu names and these pakis say they are different to Indians? lool

Even the names of the rivers are Hindu, one of them is even called "Ravi", thats a proper Indian name and pakis say they are not Indian when even their language, race, culture and names are all Indian?

Stupid pakis. Nobody believes the lies like can be found on the Punjab government website that punjabs are "descendants of the Iranians, Turks, Afghans and Arabs who came individually or in groups." https://www.punjab.gov.pk/about_punjab_people

What is Hindu? On google maps many places in east Afghanistan have hindu sounding names. This doesn't mean much. Afghans were barbaric tribes of Indian hindus before converting to Islam according to Al-Baruni the Arab.

Afghan nationalist interest in all of Balochistan, Gilget and Tajik areas is purely economical. Since they are dependent on Pakistan for basic needs, might as well claim KPK/FATA/Balochistan/Gilget to not live like majars. But they don't want ethnic minorties in Afghanistan gain independence either.

Balochistan and Gilget have small population, if Loy Afghanistan ever happen Afghans will continue to be absolute majority even including Tajik, Balochistan and Gilget areas.

I am home my little friend. For what purpose should I find a map.

Okayyy. Touched a nerve with you haven't I
This is a forum in the internet where people are anonym. I see no reason for my nerve to be touched. Whether you take this whole discussion personally is none of my business. It is to be expected from a teen kid who living in the west.

Scattered* actually. Though yes Pashtuns are pretty shattered atm lol
Wow, you found a typo, you got me good there, lol. Perhaps Obama should hand you out a medal or something, lol.

Such as? And even if they are I doubt they speak that much Pashto. Most Pashtuns from Kabul prefer Dari over Pashto.
Busted. I am a Pashtun from Kabul and I can guarantee you that there is no Pashtun who prefer Dari over Pashto. This is the whole problem with uneducated kids who haven't set a foot inside Afghanistan. They all assume, but no one knows. It probably will take you in surprise that there is many Pashto schools in Kabul. Where everything is literally taught in Pashto.

                        I have.
                        Internet forums doesn't count, lol.

Right. Except for the music, the style of food. I'm not saying you guys don't have SIMILAR food. Punjab and Sindh have similar foodies too. Doesn't mean we delude ourselves to thinking that there's nothing Persian about Northern Afghanistan. For the past hundreds of years, you've had scientists, scholars, mathematicians, musicians, poets. Heck. Rumi was born in Balkh! Nope. Nothing Persian about Balkh there. Avicenna? Nah he was not Persian either.
So there were a few famous Persians in the past, so now we don't share culture, lol. Kid you're very entertaining person, you should become an entertainer. A clown would be a good fit, lol.

The way you speak, I highly doubt that you remotely know what culture means, lol.

Cool, I'm glad you make this argument because this is exactly what Pakistanis think too. Culture is more or less the same across the board in Pakistan. Same honour culture, same division by clans, same brown skin, same clothes, more or less the same food. Great!
Even the most hardcore Pakistanis will disagree with you. Whether it is clothes, food, behavior, language everything is different. It is even widely accepted by Pakistanis themselves. That being said, I fail to see the reason you bring Pakistan into the discussion. Well, that what happens when you open a thread where you have nothing to back yourself up with. Then people tend to throw random topics in, lol.
From your post, you clearly haven't been neither to Afghanistan or Pakistan. A good example of what happens to a kid with an internet, lol.

I'm actually from a country more East than you.
Mongolia would be my best guess, lol.

Yeah being ruled by you guys for 300 years. One would think they'd start behaving like you at some point lol
Kid, why are you misquoting me? well anyway, whether it was a misquote or not, you just proved yourself wrong. Accepting the fact that their culture is no different than ours. If you're not up to a debate, than I fail to see why you try, when you just give in so fast, lol.
Don't quote me or speak to me if you hate Afghanistan, you be ignored.

People with identity crisis will be ignored as well.
