I wonder why the Pashtuns have always been so subservient to Pakistan. Even Indic Sindhis have their own separatist organization and their language enjoys more rights than Pashto does in KPK. Also, during the British attempt to conquer Afghanistan, it was a Tajik, Mir Masjidi, that attacked them first before any Pashtun did.

Which Pashtun tehsil did they remove from it? Why doesn't PMAP reverse the change made by the Balochs?Originally posted by History of Pashtuns View PostWhen and where?
Balochs are actually preferred to win back their hearts. Pashtuns of Balochistan are not privileged, they are not just ignored by Islamabad but their rights are also usurped by the Baloch-Brahui alliance. There never has been a single Pashtun CM of Baluchistan, while the powerless seat of governor alternates between Baloch and Pashtun. Provincial bureaucracy is overwhelmingly dominated by Balochs. Pashtuns are ahead of Balochs in only those fields where merit and talent is requirement.
Pashtun nationalists of Baluchistan have remained neutral in the conflict between Baloch nationalists and the federal/army. Their entire politics is about getting rights in proportion to their population in the province and proper representation......The Balochi government turned a Pashtun majority Sibi district into Baloch majority by removing a Pashtun Tehsil from it and adding a Baloch tehsil to it from another districts. PMAP protested against it. Afghans here are ignorant about these things.
Do you know why Pashtuns aren't protesting or anything for their lack of representation in Balochistan or protesting for the demand of the north joining KPK? The Hindkis protest like crazy over a name change and have been constantly demanding separation which made national news despite being a very tiny minority, but the Pashtuns seem to being subservient to the Balochs.

You are not aware of the history, Pashtuns have always acted like this, while Balochs have also always acted in the history like today. Manucci, an Italian gunner in the service of Aurangzeb , tells us that although Balochs dont travel much to India and they dont enlist themselves in the army of Mughal. While about Pashtuns, he says that entire India is dotted with them and just their cavalry in India numbers to 80 thousands and infantry is countless. Pashtuns were part of Mughal nobility and in the soldier ranks they numbered as many as Rajputs. Balochs on the other hand are absent.........Even the big heroes in the Pashtun history, Khushal Khan Khattak and Aimal Khan were in the service of Mughals before revolt. Balochs on the other hand were neither approached nor they themselves were interested in being part of Mughal empire. You will also see Pashtuns being part of Tughlaq, Mamluk, Ghorid and Ghaznavid armies, but you will find no Baloch in it.Originally posted by Sarbani View PostI wonder why the Pashtuns have always been so subservient to Pakistan. Large number of Pashtuns were part of British Indian army, while the Baloch regiment had only few Balochis.

Not sure if Islamabad will decide to deport afghani refugees but from where I'm from they are not really known for stereotypes associated with them like crimes, drugs, gun culture etc They work hard and some even have small shops. Never heard any people in our area bad mouth afghani or wanted to kich them out. But if elites in Islamabad decides to deport them out then that's another matter.

This is absolutely shameful. Any theories as to why Pashtuns and Balochs contrasted so much in this regard?Originally posted by Samandri View PostYou are not aware of the history, Pashtuns have always acted like this, while Balochs have also always acted in the history like today. Those Balochs and Pashtun tribes, who never enlisted themselves in the armies and offices of Sultanates and empires, and their areas were barren, were mostly engaged in highway robberies and looting of caravans, lifting cattle from neighbours etc......how is that not shameful?. Balochs in particular were into highway robberies and marauding, for they did not engage in trade like Ghilzai, Babi, Lohani, Gandapur and some other tribes of Pashtuns. And neither were they into soldiery like Daudzais, Khattaks, Tareens etc. Nor they had cultivable lands like Khalils, Muhammadzais, Yusufzais, Dawars, Bannuchis etc. Among Pashtuns, the most notorious robbers were Wazirs and Mehsuds, attacking trade caravans, lifting cattle etc from neighboring tribes (they never served Mughal or Durrani king). Some of the Kakars of barren landscape , were also into marauding and lootings of caravans, though not on the sale of Waziristanis. Afridis had agreements with emperors, they were paid annually (bribed basically) to keep the khyber pass open for Mughals.Originally posted by Sarbani View PostThis is absolutely shameful.
