Difference between a Tajik and a Pashtun

What a stupid comparison. There are enough videos of Attan where Pashtuns look like nothing more than an embarrassment. And Tajiks have got various dances. Qataghani, Qarsak, Bandari, and you name it. Best example Tajik dance can be found in Tajikistani videos, which are very graceful and full of culture.

Besides, Tajiks and Pashtuns are culturally so much tied to one another, that you won't be able to differentiate between a Tajik or Pashtun wedding in big cities of Afghanistan and outside of it.

Tajiks and Pashtuns aren't that different. Geographically, culturally, and now we know that even genetically that we're quite close. But even if we were extremely different, who cares?

Every group of people has their good and their bad, their beautiful and their ugly, etc. What matters is the quality of the individual, not the group they belong to.

That's not to say that we can't discuss and criticize cultures, but the way it's done here is counter-productive and improper.

The fact is that Pashtuns and Tajiks are neighbors, and neither is going away anytime soon. It's best for us to unite on what we agree on, and help each other out, than to fight over what we dislike about each other, and let hostile foreigners incite us to tear each other apart.

I mean we might not be the tallest people in the world (I am quite tall though, 1,85) but we have like the most beautiful women and most ferocious looking men. Racism is disgusting, no human being should be mistreated because his features, but lets be honest here, some ethnic groups are better looking than others. Just saying.

We should celebrate our diversity.

Went through the entire thread and was shocked by the racist attacks by the members on each others although we complain of racism when we are in foreign countries. It is unfortunate that people have internalized European race theories to this degree and look at each other in term of skin colour and anthropological features instead of humanity and human empathy.

It is so self-degrading and humiliating when people define themselves in such superficial terms.

Apart from that I will say Pashtuns are the closest to Tajaks, Dardic people, and Baluchis. Then they have assimilated north Indians as well in their working class structure. Looks wise, Pashtuns are similar to Tajaks, Baluchis, Dards, Iranians, may be to some Turks, Arabs, also to many north Indians especially Kashmiris.
