I have spent time in Tajikistan. Apart from Soviet cultural colonialism the Tajiks are no different than their brothers on our side of Amu River.

If Tajiks and Pashtuns are brothers in Afghanistan then Tajiks in Tajikistan are also our brothers.

Exactly, they are all pretty much similar culturally and speak farsi. Its just that internet retards can't see beyond some small differences in genetics. That resident retard Karachi said central asians are more closer to mongols then afghans (who are closer to Turkey) culturarly LOL

I guess we all have cultural and ethnic ties with our neighbors. In Western Afghanistan we feel close to those Iranians from Khorasan province. In Northern Afghanistan people have almost same identity than their kin across the border. Same thing goes for our Pashtun and Baluch people.

At the end of the day our fake Brit made boundaries are separating people with a common set of values. Thats why we should focus on regional integration/cooperation: its the only way to bring progress, stability and peace to our home.

The "relationship" between Afghans, Pakistanis, and Indians is in fact highly because of West Asian influence in North Indians. Pashtuns are closer to white people in Europe genetically than they are to Central or South Indians. With the recent disxovery of Iranian Neotholic Farmers, we were abke to see that a huge chunk of "South Indian" in pashtuns was proxied as such because Iranian Neotholic farmers weren't discovered. These farmers were close genetically to Caucasus Hunter Gatherers.

Here are some recent GEDmatches with the Iranian Neotholic component showing. ASE is South Indian. Afghans even have far more Western European Hunter Gatherer ancestry than they do South Indian. And the Iranian Neotholic looka very high here because there was no Caucasus Hunter Gatherer component on this calculator.

Pashtuns and North Indians aren't even all that close, anyways. In oracles they scores distaces in the 20s from each other, which is the distance between a Spaniard and a German. Pashtuns are closer to North Caucasians genetically than to a lot of North Indians.

Do you have a source of all this? The Iranian farmer paper just came out, I am surprised they will have pashtun results so soon, especially when the paper didn't really talk about pashtuns properly

I am not accusing you, Pashtun phenotype is indeed more closer to Europeans then it is to south indians, however I still need proof

          • This topic do differences between flaan and flaan is quite invidious. Of course we tend to miss the similarities because we ain't interested in that, are we?

Then there is the other vein to this tumour (sorry all medics out there) which is the genetics and haploids and y-chromosomes and maternal dna of pashtuns, Kushans, hephtalites, scythians. Seriously? You really think there is sufficient scientific basis or logical explanation to justify lineages with SUFFIECIENT CERTAINTY to fight over on a forum????

Even the Bani Israel fable has insufficient research, in fact the few articles that comes up include the one done in Delhi of 'pathans' claiming afridi ancestry, inconclusive and another done by university of haifa, also inconclusive, from such a tiny sample.

I keep my self entertained with a line I heard about us Pashtun, "hum panch hazar sal pehlay pathan thai our chuda-sow sal mussalman hai"

A Tajik from Herat like myself looks a bit different than a Tajik from Kabul or from Mazar. Same thing happens among Pashtuns: Pashtuns from Helmand look a bit different than Pashtuns from Eastern provinces.

              Thank you.
No, pashtuns and Tajiks are not genetically diverse. We all have the same origins. All these different racial theories in Afghanistan are bringing people apart rather than closer imo. Not that it matters, but people who are already fighting don't need to be convinced that they are racially different when they are not.

Well we don't actually have genetics from Nuristani people yet, but we can assume that they are like the Kalash people of Pakistan, whom we do have genetics from. And Kalash people are relatively genetically close to Pashtuns, but they are not that close. They're closer to Punjabis.

Pashtuns are genetically closest to Pamiri Tajiks after other Pashtuns. In fact, pashtuns and Pamiris are so close that in some Pashtun oracles Pamiri Tajiks will show up as being more related to some pashtuns than other pashtuns are and vice versa.

We are also pretty genetically close to Kumyk, Tabassaran, Chechen, and other North Caucasian people genetically. And we are close to Brauhi and Baloch of course too, but they are very west asian shifted

Take a look at this recent spread sheet
                Microsoft services

You'll see that pashtuns have no more than between 4-10% indian blood rather than the previously said 15-20%. It looks like outside of Afghanistan, Iranian Persians are our closest relatives genetically, not north indians like once said. Which makes sense. Even Europeans have 2-5% Indian blood, it means nothing.

According to your spreadsheet, the AFghan Tajik sample has a considerably higher East Asian component The Iranian component matches though.

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

                    • By the way Myanthropologies spreadsheet only looks at a handful of samples, which are not known to be representative samples.

ASE isn't like south indian component on Harappa. Its entirely different thing and more related to adamanese/onge then south Indian which is believed to be half west euroasian and half proper ASI. Spreadsheet show completly different results then what are you writting.

                          • Folks, if you are posting oracles, then at least post the ones from the latest calculators, which use the most recently discovered near eastern ancients.

Here are the results using an Afghan Pashtun:

Exactly. The ASE is the broken down literal south indian, and the west eurasin components were added to iranian neo (which is what they are).

The first one cant be accurate. There is no wqy a punjabi is closer to a pashtun before a tajik. Not even a kalash should be closer.

Also this is even more odd:

Also "gujurati A" is a very west shifted gujurati, a user on another forum told me that that might have pathan ancestry. And i think these are a pakistani pashtun's results. Based on the recent percentages, Iranian Persians should be the pashtuns closest relative outside of Afghanistan.
