No. Pashtuns and Indic Muslims are different people with a different culture, history, and mentality. Its weird how you just said you didn't mind unification with Afghanistan but as long as Punjab and Sindh join you. Why are Punjab/Sindh so important?

Please refer to my earlier post as i have explained Pakisaniat,People that can' be called Pakistanis despite them being never been to Pakistan and the process involving becoming part of this effort and the People that are not eligible to join this movement

Da Bannu Mzdigar,
I see a lot of pro Pakistan Pathan claiming “Afghanistan and Pakistan are one country with similar people, faith and cultural” which is absolutely nonsense! Pakistan was created for Muslims of Hindustan cultural background what did Pashtun and Baloch has to do with it? Even here in west, Pakistani are more likely to be found with Indian then Afghans and why wouldn’t they, generally speaking there is no culture or racial difference between Pakistani and Indians...even the language Hindi and Urdu are basically the same with only difference the later has more Dari influences and is written in Dari/Arabic alphabet. We Afghans Pashton/Tajik/Baloch/Nurstani---85% of population of Afghanistan--- only share racial, historical and cultural linage with Pashton and Balochs whom together are less than 15% of population of Pakistan. The rest we have nothing in common with in term of culture and race other than religion.

Da Bannu Mazdigar,
I’m sincerely worried about you; those Punjabis look into wayward brainwashed Pathans like you and your rage of emptiness, and laugh at the prospect of using you for cannon fodder against the Indians.
The ideology of Pakistan--- two nation theory stoked by separatist Jannah has failed miserably! The simple fact there are more Muslims in India than Pakistan has blown two nation theory wide. Creation of Bangladesh moreover leaves no doubt that Jinnah idea were nothing but hot airs. In addition Jinnah's bloodline thrives in India is spite on ugly face of British agent Jinnah and ideology of Pakistan.
The fact is there is nothing unique about Pakistan or population Pakistani that can base the Pakistani culture or identity...even Islam is not unique to Pakistanis as Judaism is to Israel.
It is still time for the sympathizers and condoners of the dream dreamt by Jinnah which has become a living nightmare for the people of that region, to reflect on their thoughts and senses. How much more bloodshed, suppression, tyranny do these poor people have to go under in order to come to a realization that hey, it was all a dream. A dream of a few people who enjoyed whisky and pork while fantasizing of an Islamic Nation. A artificial country that has been molested ever since its birth by the army.
What’s the worst that could happen? The extremists/ISI/Al-Qeada/unholy army decides to set off a bunch of nukes before they meet their creator?

Pakistan maybe formed by any mean but today it is the only platform that is sincere with Islam. You see like majority of the Pashtuns,I am deobandi and Islam doesn't permit Nationalism and so does Deobandi school.

Pashtuns will unite again and Please google the Genetic distance(fst) difference between Pashtuns and other ethnicities of the region.

Good for you, I want nothing less for Pashtons other then be smart and vigilant. The ground reality is Pakistan through village idiot Mullah Omar and his kinds have created a terrible blow to a sense of coexistence, trust and decency in region and worst have created a groove of doubt in heart of Muslims. In no time in history people had question the validity of Islam as the people are these days. Even the illiterate people have realized that Mullahs are not about morality they are about their rituals and their Fatwas. Lack of freedom will kill the spirit of man and leave him worthless and hopeless. May allah put an end to this British created cancer called Pakistan soon!!!

First of all i am not in favour of Mullahs in Power and i hate talibs on either side of the border,if you have followed my posts over the last few years on this forum, you might already know this.

The thing is as i have already told shamlawar that i am not a ordinary person and if you think Pakistan studies or the brainwashing of Pakistan has forced me to a Pakistani patriot than actually your wrong Sir.

I have been through periods of being a Pashtun nationalist in the early 60's and upto the mid 80's.

I have followed Afghanistan and its politics and the People for a long time and i have observed that the Pashtuns in Pakistan enjoy far more cultural freedom.

The most astonishing part i noticed is that in Pakistan the Pashtuns has the Notion that they got a superior cultural than the rest of Pakistani tribes and in very rare instances they will adopt the Punjabi or Sindhi cultural but in Afghanistan as Firdousi said, the major Portion of urban pashtuns has integrated farsi cultural and actually admire them.Infact in Afghanistan speaking dari is considered as fashion and modern.

Urdu is not a mother tongue of 90% of Pakistanis and is spoken as first language by merely 8-10% of Pakistanis.

Sorry to say but Afghanistan is not what it was under the Ahmad Shah abdali anymore.

Yes but i see a merger of Pashtuns under the Banner of Islam sometime later in this century.

Could only agree with some of the points you said. Pakistani Pashtuns enjoy more cultural freedom than Afghan Pashtuns? That statement is hilarious. Just the other day I was with a Porkistani (I hadn't told him my ethnicity yet) and then goes on about how his mother used to tell him to "not be dirty like those Pathans (Pashtuns)". Your Porkistani Poonjabi masters laugh at you and your culture, and yet Pashtuns on the other side of the fake Durand Line love them. Probably a case of Stockholm syndrome, that needs to be cured/fixed.

I am sorry to tell you, but I be the first one to tell you that you're easily brainwashed. Don' take it offensive, but rather as a constructive feedback. If you look at my posts; I am not some Pakistani hater, so what I am going to say to you isn't based on hate, but facts.

You may have seen me in the forum and seen my criticism of Afghan Pashtuns. The reason I criticize Afghans and not Pakistanis, isn't because there is less to criticize about Pakistani Pashtuns; in fact there is more, but because as an Afghan Pashtun, I need to resolve issues around my own country and because as an Afghan Pashtun, my criticism about Pakistani Pashtuns will be received negatively by them. And this is the reason why I prefer a Pakistani Pashtun criticizing the issues in their country.

You mentioned that Pakistani Pashtuns enjoy more cultural freedom than Afghan Pashtuns, but that is completely false. If you look at ethnicity in Afghanistan, then you will realize that all ethnicity of Afghanistan follows Pashtun culture and customs. From their cloths to their behavior is all assimilated into Pashtun culture. To prove my point; you can look at Tajiks from Tajikistan and compare them with Afghan Tajiks. You can look at Uzbeks from Uzbekistan and compare them with Afghan Uzbeks. You can even look at Hazaras, who people usually say is farthest away from Pashtuns, even they have adapted similar culture.

If you look at linguistically at Pashtuns from Afghanistan and Pashtuns from Pakistan, even there, there is no contest. To be frankly, having Pashto as a national language which can be spoken at court, Parliament, governmental posts, as president etc. Already there should my point be proven, but for the sake of argument, lets look at how the schools are designed in both countries and see which support Pashto more.
In Afghanistan, there is two kind of schools; a Pashto school and a Dari school.
Lets look at these two forms of schools.
In Pashto school:
All the subjects/lesson are taught in Pashto.
There is only one subject/lesson of Dari.
In Dari school:
All the subjects/lesson are taught in Dari
There is one subject/lesson in Pashto

We can all agree on that the Pashto school is out of question by far more supportive of Pashto language than any school in Pakistan.
Now lets look at Dari school. In Dari school, there is taught Pashto from the very beginning to the end of your school days/until you graduate. So basically even in our Dari schools, there is taught Pashto far more than the heart of Pashtuns in Pakistan.

In Pakistan you're not even teaching Pashto in your school, even in the heart of Pashtun land.(one lesson in first or third grade does not count)

You call yourself a free thinker, then be my guest and research ''language preservation''. You will very fast discover that number one way to preserve a language is for it to be taught in the school. It should be government supported, or else it will be gone before one realize it. Don't take this as an offense, but lets be honest. Pashto is in grave danger in Pakistan. You guys may not be able to observe it, because you're used to it; but from an outside perspective, one can clearly see the heavy mixing of Urdu and English in your Pashto. It is rare for someone to speak pure Pashto in Pakistan. It is all due to the fact that there is no cultural or linguistic support for Pashto in Pakistan.

Don't get me wrong. I am not saying Afghanistan is problem free. You guys all see it first hand how much I criticize issues in Afghanistan, but all I am saying right now is that Afghanistan for now haven't reached linguistically and cultural a bad stage that Pakistanis have. The problem with Pakistan is that the people does not criticize the issue the country have, and the issues ends up unsolved.

As I said before, don't take what I wrote as offense, but as a constructive feedback.
Don't quote me or speak to me if you hate Afghanistan, you be ignored.

People with identity crisis will be ignored as well.

Valid points, Bannu. I couldn't agree more.

Pakistan just needs to change its strategy toward Afghanistan. You have been backing Pashtuns in my country and this has brought nothing but misery, destruction and disgrace. You need to start supporting Tajiks. We don't care about Loy Afghanistan at all. We won't interfere into your affairs (as long as you do the same with Afghanistan).. and so on. Think about it.

The true face of two hybrid filthy parasites that lives near noble lands of the Pashtuns. Taziz tajiks and harami dark punjababoons.
