If we accept these farsiwans as Pashtuns then what about tens of millions of non-pashto speaking "pathans" in punjab and karachi?. We cant accomodate farsiwans and pathans....

As always a voice of reason. MananaOriginally posted by TimbaktuTrue. But as of now thats the ground reality and we have to looks after our intrests. This world is matlabi and everything is done for matlab.
I never claimed or implied that in my post. How you came to that conclusion I have no clue. Pakhtunkhwa has probably done more for pashtu in the last 30 years or so because of constant war in Afghanistan. Let's give Afghanistan 30 years of relative peace and we will see where pashto flourishes more and where it becomes the language of educations and culture.
The sitation of pakhtunkhwa is quite different. You can't really compare the two. Pakistan is a federal state while Afghanistan is not. Sure you can keep your pashto when everyone around you is pashtun like in pakhtunkhwa and paktia and kandahar but when you are living among other communities like in Kabul and the north then we will see how hard it is to keep ones language. Just look at the lodhis and niazis who migrated to punjab. They don't even identify themselves as pashtuns nor can they speak the language.
P.S. Luffy we can't compare the Karachi to Pashtunkhwa or Afghanistan. They are fundamentally two different cases.

You are right...afghanistan ao pashtunkhwa che sok oseegee agho tha wathan ossekdonki shu ka agha Pashtun/Afghan shu, hindkai, pashaii, parsibaan, etc. If they work for us and with our interests that is key and we have to foster that. There is no point to make an enemy at every corner, that will only hinder us. Kam che dae ghatt ao khkaara dukhman dae aghae pasae ba zoo...the ones within the land are more of a demographic and administrative thing. This can be countered in a very sensible way. However we shouldn't muddle two issues as the same. MananaOriginally posted by Luffy View Post@timbaktu
We should appreciate those farsiwans, hinkowans and pathans who works for interests of pashtuns... but they will remain what they are i.e non-pashtun allies.

Sher Khana,Originally posted by Sher KhanGood job brother but all of these sources are prior to 2000.
Can you provide any fresh source which shows that pashtuns make more 50% of afghan population.
I am shocked that you as a Pashutn cannot pull your head out of the a big pile of CIA sheeet. I wonder why you have such a contempt in disputing Pashtuns demographic and number in Afghanistan? What is it, why, where does it stem from? Regardless that Afghanistan is 60-70 ethnically Pashtun, we disregard that and we are by nature the owner of that land, there is no dispute. Your Tajik this and that is quite tiresome and pathetic.
Follwoing the desposition of Taliban, only few amongst Pashtun cooperated with big powers, and those who did, were mainly groups opposed to and were persecuted by Taliban, who offered opportunity for short term state formation. And these at the time and context were mainly armed warlords of the Northern Alliance, one of the few remaining power structures, who invariably were integrated into the new central state system by major international actors in Afghanistan in a very exigent manner. You need understand this. Afghanistan is a post conflict state and the entire world were on the resolute side to defeat the Taliban. Since then Afghanistan has gone through major transformation. And we are absolutely satisfied. Today our president is Pashtun, our defence minister is, our minister of finance, economy, agriculture, head of secrete services NDS, our chief of army staff, our minister of economy, our minister of commerce, our minster tribal affairs, our minister communication, our foreign minstry etc.! We are the king makers in Afghanistan.
You wouldn't open you mouth if you weren't amazingly ignorant or you are eighter doing it puposely, I don't know what you are suffering from. Numbers don't matter.
The worse crime of our people was to migrate to Peshawar so it can be turned into "peghoor" by maggots and rubbed onto our face. I think it should get rubbed at our face, we responsible for destroying out beautiful country, we have let ourselves down. It was the result of our self-serving and beghairata leaders who made our proud people to become muhajers. And to be honest although our people chose saftey due to killing spree of Russians where millions of us were slaughtered, but my pride doesn't allow me to have to explained that to you as a reason. Kho Khair da tyaarah shpa ba hum teera see, aw che pa kuma wee'aley kshe ooba tlaley wee bia ba hum pa kshe larri see! I am mentioning all this to you as a response to your other posts in other threads, not only to but also you likes.
You have another 100 years to go get to the level of Afghan Pashtuns! Even I if were to go with you and your CIA account, we are the real born leaders. ta Panjab da hoot hoot kawa aw sar de pa hagha salshamoo hum ghwarawa!lol
And don't open that mouth of yours which stinks with tteerrrr ppppeeerrrrr of Urdu and English about our Pashtu and how it is subserviant to other languages. That is never the case and never will be, our language, our culture and civil society is flourishing and it is shinning.

Sher Khana,
We are proud and fair people. We coil at the idea of impinging at others rights and pride too. We will never supress Tajiks or others for that matter, we know the value of living as proud and in spirit of freedom, we wont take that away from others. Tajiks are out brothers and we only wish for them what we wish for ourselves.

That's very negative thinking and completely counter to lar ao bar. If you want to live as equals with your Tajik central Asian Persian-speaking Turkic friends, what moral justification do you have to tell a patriotic Pakistani Pashtun that he should leave his Sindhi, Baloch and Seraiki brothers and join you? After all, a Pakistani, despite the fact that the two-nation theory has failed time and time again, will be very quick to point out the common unifying Islamic faith of his state.Originally posted by Afghan_Soldier View PostWell said Shlombay. We are equal indeed. Tajiks or any one for that matter don't live under us, we all live under the same roof and in the same house. We have been for centuries. Nothing to feel bad about. We respect each other like brothers."If a nation expects to be ignorant and free, in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be".
"Knowledge will forever govern ignorance; and a people who mean to be their own governors must arm themselves with the power which knowledge gives".

Your logic is flawed and It is not so difficult to understand that people generally join those who have most things common with them. We don't share histroy, language and culture with Punjabis, Bengalis, Sindhis and Seraikis. Apart from that, we were forced to join Pakistan leaving us without any option. If religion is to be the criterion of compromise with Pakistan then Afghans are far more pure muslims than Paakis.Originally posted by Levanaye Zalmaye View PostThat's very negative thinking and completely counter to lar ao bar. I am no high moral authority, especially when it comes to justiying Pashtun cause in Pakistan or either Afghanistan, particularly when it comes to some one like yourself who is perhaps may be better well versed in history and its moral than me. I believe in a common destiny of my people. I am not countering anything in this regard. The proponents and protagonists of the lar aw bar thinking themseslves believe in Afghanistan as it is as the mother land of Pashtuns. I hope we are straight on this. Secondly these people who are against the current Afghanistan and wants to disolve it are either the enemy of Pashtuns or are extremely naive. Cut the long story short to you, you need a logical starter in achieving the ultimate goal. Osss kho pa Peshawar, Quetta aw FATA khsee kho mo grevaan tseeree tseeree dai, aw Panjabyan lagya dee da zraa pa sar moo laareee woobasee! I suggest we get all Pashutns in KK and Baluchistan under one banner and single entity within Pakistan as process. I think the moral, ghairat aw har see yee che blooley should start and end there for you. Being against a stronger Afghanistan and anything other than that is a woolly business. Pa Lazjh poh sa!
Pashutns are not indic, we are ourselves central Asian and our history and culture is interwoven into that of the Truks and Persians. I have no moral obligations to be not united with Tajiks. What exactly do you want us to do with them?
Islamic or no Islamic, for those are for it, mubaraka dee see!Last edited by Guest; 08-04-2010, 10:58 PM.
