I know I am going get hated by saying this, but I want people to face reality.

Have any of you considered that partition of Afghanistan would have a positive effect on the Afghan people.
Think about it, which country in recent history had continually war for more than 3 decades. I am not talking about small insurgency here and there, but outright civil war.
Even the government which in times of war usually relative united if not completely on the same page. In Afghanistan's case there is more instability and threat from within the government than from insurgence.
Abdullah literally said in public, if I am not in power I will put Afghanistan upside down. Some warlords who supported him said that they will make the Afghan rivers run red with blood.
Not to mention after all this drama, they couldn't/cant decide on posts.
Did I mention that in Afghanistan people don't want to be called Afghans... they want to remove the word Afghan from an Afghan documents... USA a land of immigrants have American all over its documents regardless of the nationality/ethnicity/religion etc.

This is just the government. Now if we take the insurgency into consideration. First of all, the idealogical differences between the insurgence and their supporters is like night and day compared to the ''opposition''.
For love of god, after almost 15 years not a single ceasefire have been declared. Civilian dies like flies and apparently their life worth decreased to even lesser than a fly.
The only ''peace talks'' are arranged by foreigners... overseen by foreigners... and arranged in foreign country...
Afghans become chess pieces while other countries are the players.

Call it a rant, call it whatever you want, but the facts are all there. I haven't seen more disunited people than Afghans despite the fact that they have far more in common with each other, than the population of other countries.

In fact Afghanistan is already portioned, just not officially.

Why not stop the bloodshed and hate once and for all, and divide the country.

Whether the country divides according to ethnicity, religiously, politically, linguistically, ideologically could be decided by what the Afghans themselves want.

I am pretty sure that foreign meddling wouldn't be possible once the country is divided. I mean the reason its possible now is because the people are divided amongst themselves and each of them want the ''upper hand'' which they can get by foreign support. Once divided there wont be any bargain left for foreigner to use against the Afghan people.
Don't quote me or speak to me if you hate Afghanistan, you be ignored.

People with identity crisis will be ignored as well.

Why should we Pashtun on earth divide our nation to some strangers and foreigners that our ancestors sheltered? NEVER ever would I allow my Pashtunistan to be cut into pieces. After 40 years of war and one of the most poorest countries on earth, we STILL don't even RECOGNIZE durrand line that makes the porki punjabis ****tt themselves. They have even nukes they can't dare to touch Pashtuns in fully scale war, only through talib-terrorist proxy.

I rather sacrifices the whole world but not my heart, soul, my identity from the land that I was made. My Pashtunistan, My Ariana, my true love.

Grana wrooor, I respect your warm thoughts I know you have a good heart. You want to end the bloodshed, but in the same time you making millions upon millions of Pashtuns sacrifice meaningless that protected our lands from more than 800 huge invasions in only 2000 years.

People die, I know it sad. But so what? Just think that in the future my noble grandchildren and your purified grandchildren will have a pure Pashtunistan for themselves. The minority should not even dare to control small regions in our Loy Pashtunistan and we will never ever have foreign influence when we united rule our noble and holy Pashtun lands.

I am just saying this, keep on the fight for a better Pashtunistan, for unification of all 50-60 million Pashtuns. We stay strong, we stay focused our time will come. Power shifts, time are changing. Don't loose hope when we the young Pashtuns are growing right now.

In my opinion the best solution is to remove all boundries from colonial times, so no Afghanistan and no pakistan and no uzbekistan. Instead loosely controlled nation states such as pashtunsitan (pashtun areas of pakistan and afghanistan), punjabistan, sindh, tajikistan or khorasan etc with no visa restrictions etc similar to the european union model based on mutual interest. This will mean pashtuns will be able to use their mother tongue pashto in all walks of life and thus will advance the pashto language. No more fake border based on colonial and western interest to divide and rule. Mutual respect among neighbours and no arguments about which is a fake nation since all nations will be natural based on the natural boundries and no fake boundries drawn up by colonialists. Afghanistan should only be partitioned if pakistan, uzbekistan, iran, turkey etc can be partitioned as well.

Ehh NO! This is Pashtun lands only. Those who don't want to follow Pashtun laws in the future can immigrate to Europe. I hear there is peace, nice jobs, good houses, free education and girls.

They immigrated to Pashtunistan we Pashtuns did not immigrate to Arabia-Mongolia etc and raped their women.

Complete BS. Just because some brainwashed Tajik online say they are not Afghan it does not mean that people in Afghanistan don't want to. They represent less than 1 percent of Tajiks.

This kind of attitude from both sides is the reason for civil war. Not any single ethnic group is clear cut majority in Afghanistan.

Id also like to add that majority of these "Tajiks" are not real Tajiks. Tajik waso a term brought from Turkistan majority of the Tajiks without Asian features are of the same origin as Pashtuns they just adopted Dari.

By that logic you are also a Tajik. The proper Tajiks call you Afghan-e-Ghul even though you are also a Farsiwan like them.

@topic One argument is that these are conquered territories by Ahmad Shah Abdali and should be kept under Afghanistan at all cost. To justify the hold, Afghan nationalists have even made the claims that Northren and central Afghanistan is historical homeland of Pashtuns and that large number of Tajiks and Uzbeks are relatively recent emmigrants from central asia , and that Hazaras can go to Mongolia if they dare to demand independence. Its not a bad approach, Pakistan is also holding big chunk of non-indic territory, although with better excuses and justification, Papa Angraiz facilitated them in it.

If you read too much from internet and your feets are not on the ground then chances are you are misreading the situation. For example , many of you Afghans wrongly assumed that Lar Pashtuns want Independence from Pakistan because of the posts and activity of few dozens nationalist Pashtuns . So have some patience and nerves, situation may not be that bad in Afghanistan.

The second argument is partition and be done with it, no more inter-ethnic bickering and hostilities. But it would be just easy escape with no solution for most of the issues. The better option is co-existence, some sort of confederation, in which all ethnic groups of Afghanistan have autonomous regions , only defence, foreign policy and communication under federal.

I don't agree with the division of Afghanistan, plus it will create lots of other (if not more) problems.

                            1. There is heavy inter-mixing in Afghanistan.

Some of the Pashtuns are heavily Persianized as well e.g. Mahmudzais and feel though they are ancestrally, genetically, emotionally Pashtun that Dari is "their" language as much as Pashto is. For example the Scotts may speak English but they regard English as their language as much as the English do themselves, due to their history and usage of it.

The Mexicans, south Americans know they are mainly native Amerindian but also regard Spanish as "their" language.

Usage of a language doesn't necessarily mean you reject your ethnicity or prefer the ethnic group from where the language came over your own one.

In other words a "pure Pashtun state" with Pashto as the sole language may not work in Afghanistan.

                            2. There would be additional borders for people and transport to cross from the Arabian gulf to resource rich Central Asia.

China wants a peaceful stable Asia with optimal trade and increased connectivity not less.

                            3. Within Pashtuns themselves there are divisions e.g. Ghilzais v Durranis etc. Then there is the secularist v conservative division.

Afghans in general are proud of the nation of Afghanistan and do not want to see it break.

A stable dynamic state will take time.

Already one Afghan government has transferred power peacefully via elections to another Afghan government, this is something Pakistan only achieved for the first time in its history around 2 years ago, whereas Afghanistan has experienced war for decades.

                            4. Though break up of the country is not wise in my opinion (it is for Afghans to decide and no Afghan I know would want that) e.g. I do think a federation is a good idea, however a federation on administrative or geographical lines not ethnic ones.

This however is not possible because at the moment Afghanistan is in some ways a band of warlords with their regions of influence agreeing to work together (Abdullah, Dostum etc).

Progress will take time, in the interim period increased education and urbanization will lead to an increase in pan-Afghan consciousness and identity.

                            * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

                            Shukran ya Masr!!!

Thanks to Egypt for supporting Bangladesh against Pakistani harassment and support for terrorists and war criminals!!

North is havely mixed, seperating them will not help at all. Just look at Sudan, you heard for decades that seperate states will bring peace. North Suadan is peacefull meanwhile the mixed south is degrading to another civil war. This will happen to Afghanistan north, they think that all problems are due to Pashtuns and they think that Hazara, Uzback and Tajiks are all going to love and live peacefully with each other, well thats a nice dream. They will just fight among themself for power.
