When I was in Peshawar, I met people who traveled, all the way from Northern Afghanistan for Medical care.

Question is, who fills the void after the ban.

Is Afghanistan capable enough to have a Pharmaceutical industry, fulfilling its own needs!

I would rather afghans die of medical conditions rather than suicide attacks.

I don't think it will effect Afghan taliban or other terrorist groups.

As long there are Afghans selling themselves to Pakistan for Rupees and killing their own brethren, nothing will help.

Which is why I said that afghans need to either accept staying in Pakistan and being treated like **** or get their asses back to their own country. Don't argue in circles.
There is always a way to fix things. You have to want it fixed badly enough. It won't be pleasant but it's necessary. These pakistanies complain about refugees and then at the same time don't want the border shut. You undecided ****ers have and will argue in circles for years. None of you are capable of getting **** fixed. All you do it chase your own damn tails.

About medicines, i think Afghanistan mostly uses indian medicines.
Exactly, they get get medicine from Iran and India, Pakistan is up there but its not the most relied on country for such stuff. What Pakistan does is their own business, if they decided to send back all Afghan refugees back, than so be it.

Afghans will welcome back their own kin for being mistreated in such a dysfunctional country.

There was an Afghan-German pharmaceutical company in Kabul which was destroyed during 90s dog fight...per a irani doctor family friend the meds produce was high regarded in 70s and 80s in Iran because of the quality.
Ngo in Afghanistan always means the opposite. I purchased Iranian-German insulin in Kabul for a couple dollars, a vile which would cost a couple hundred bucks in the US non insured. I wouldn't trust anything that came from Pakistan, even their soccer balls are probably from the skin of babies and inflated with the last breaths of tortured Muslims.

Yeah probably not, but I know the history of **** quality goods coming from Pakistan. Iran would be a better option or others.
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

Nice to see this place vibrant and full of enthusiasts once more. If nothing else, pakistan deserves credit for bringing everyone on the same page vis-a-vis lambasting the country.

On topic, I think this is more for public consumption than anything else. I dont believe this is a highly regulated industry (if at all) and Pakistan's pharmaceuticals highly ever get a mention in serving a significant role towards its economy. Therefore, threatening it makes very little strategic sense but perhaps a lot more political sense.

Afghanistan could have pursued other avenues such as TAPI, threatening that project could have been used to create diplomatic pressure not just directly but indirectly from other partner countries as well. That is why I believe this to be a decision to hide the government's apparent ineptness at dealing with its internal security situation.

You are not wrong about that, one has to be very careful about medicines in Pakistan. Spurious drugs are shamelessly sold.

Tapi and 1000mw CASA project. Problem is Afghanistan will also benefit from it, hundreds of millions of dollars every year, likely $1 billion/year. Same reason Pakistan doesn't have problem with India importing gas through TAPI.

Its basically free money if pipelines are secured.

its better than pulls stuffed with needles and cornstarch. Maybe this will give these companies an opportunity for growth and producing better quality medicine.
