  • Isis Releases Execution Video from Afghanistan (Nangarhar)

All the victims are described as 'apostates', according to the ISIS video, which appeared on jihadi social media accounts last night.
It is believed the victims are from the Shinwari tribe and were accused of aiding the Taliban in the Afghan province of Nangarhar, where ISIS was recently expelled.

I wonder if this will lead to war between ISIS and The Taliban.

There is a defacto state of war between Daesh and Taliban. I doubt they can ever pose a major threat to Afghanistan, but they certainly are an irritant for the insurgents. And their numbers are set to grow, because of a few developments within the taliban leadership that are not popular with the fighters on the ground: 1) Mullah Omar's new replacement is an ISI favorite, 2) the peace talks, which are only taking place because of Pakistani threats.

This is good for the Kabul government. Split the insurgency into moderates and hardliners.

The moderates will still fight the government while the number of hardliners will grow and obviously they will also fight the government.
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

The two factions will settle their differences with violence, as is the Pashtun tradition. I believe the paki backed, pro-talks, Mansour group will survive although weakened. Even if the talks result in nothing, bad blood will remain for a long time to come.

Pashtuns killing pashtuns SMH they should be uniting to fight invaders not eachother.... plus isis is a stupid group why would afghans want to be apart of a caliphate, the pashtuns have never lived under a caliphate. Abubakr Al Baghdadi is an idiot i hope he gets captured, hes a waste of space causing unnecessary war.

The Arabs from Al Qaeda in Afghanistan tended to be high level operators, like bomb technicians, trainers, advisors, etc. But these new Daesh guys are by and large Pashtuns, Taliban fighters who are fed up with the paki based leadership.

The lack of Arabs can be explained with the rise of the Islamic State, which is close to the hearts of the Sunnis in the Middle East, unlike far flung Afghanistan. Another effect from Daesh is the drying up of Gulf based revenue streams to the Taliban, now being spent on killing Shiites, Alawites, Kurds.

Hopefully, these two groups will exhaust each other & cause people to move on & focus on rebuilding the country.

The Taliban comment on the video:
“A horrific video was released yesterday showing kidnappers who associate themselves with Daesh [a derogatory term for IS] brutally martyring several white-bearded tribal elders and villagers with explosives,” the statement on the Taliban website read.

“This offence and other such brutal actions by a few irresponsible ignorant individuals under the guise of Islam and Muslims are intolerable,” said the group, which used to be known for its aggression against Western prisoners during the military campaign in Afghanistan.

The Taliban has strongly condemned a graphic Islamic State video showing Afghan the murder of prisoners. The captives are blown up with explosives, an act the Afghan group labeled “intolerable,” perpetrated by “irresponsible ignorant individuals.”

Group says film of prisoners killed by being blown up shows ‘intolerable’ actions by ‘irresponsible ignorant individuals’ in the guise of Islam

Its the secularists that are funding isis and giving them arms, no? why should we love secularism when its responsible for most of the wars and devastation the world has seen.

Can you please identify those secularists who funds Islamic State? Being secular means separating Church and State, religious people may take care of religion and not of the state. Where a single body has been killed for not following secularism? where secularism has been imposed by secularists on others?

If a secular country fights another secular or Islamist country then go for the reason whether it is for imposing secularism or other political or economic motives. If Germany and France , both secular, fight with each other, it cannot be for secularism as both are already secular but for other reasons. Islamic state fights for Islamism.
