So called good taliban from Afghanistan are no longer on ISI payroll.
Chaman is not in FATA, you should learn about your own country before you talk out of the arse that the brits used to scratch.
A Taliban video shows its fighters inside military bases; seized Humvees, weapons and ammunition; and Afghan security personnel who were captured during the jihadist group's weeklong offensive in Kunduz.
Taliban touts success in Kunduz offensive

The Afghan Taliban is trumpeting its recent success in the northern province of Kunduz as security forces struggle to drive back the jihadist group from the provincial capital.
The Taliban released a video today titled “Kunduz and Renewed Resolve” that shows its fighters in control of Afghan security forces’ outposts, captured security personnel, and vehicles and weapons seized during the fighting. The title of the video is a play on the the name of the Taliban’s newly-launched spring offensive, which is called Azm and means resolve or determination. [See LWJ report, Afghan Taliban announces new ‘spring operations’.]
The five minute and thirty-seven second long video was produced by Al Emarah Studio, which is “part of the Multimedia Branch of Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Cultural Commission,” the Taliban stated on its website, Voice of Jihad. The video highlights “the recent victories, conquests and war booty attained by Mujahideen in the initial days of annual spring campaign dubbed ‘Azm’ (Resolve/Determination).”
Taliban fighters are shown patrolling in the Imam Sahib district, which is said to be under the group’s control. Taliban fighters are also videotaped inside and outside of several military and police outposts that were captured during the recent fighting.
The Taliban also displayed several US-supplied Humvees used by the Afghan Army and Ford 150 pickup trucks used by the Afghan police that were taken during the fighting. Also shown were captured assault rifles, machine guns, and an assortment of ammunition.
Additionally, the Taliban briefly showed at least 10 Afghan security personnel who were captured. Days after the fighting began in Kunduz, the jihadist group said that it had captured 55 security personnel, most of whom were Arbakis, or members of the tribal police.
The Taliban launched its offensive in the districts of Imam Sahib, Aliabad, and Qala-i-Zal as well as other areas of Kunduz late last week. The jihadist group is said to have advanced to within miles of the provincial capital of Kunduz city. After the Taliban offensive was launched, the head of the provincial council estimated that more than 65 percent of the province was under Taliban control. [See LWJ report, Taliban launch offensive in northern Afghan province.]
The Afghan military is said to have moved forces into Kunduz to counter the Taliban push but, according to a report in RFE/RL, security forces have been unsuccessful in dislodging the jihadist group from the Gor Tepa area in Kunduz city and other districts which fell. The governor of Kunduz told RFE/RL that Afghan forces faced an uphill battle against the Taliban without the support of US troops.
The US and NATO end its combat mission in Afghanistan in December 2014 and the limited number of forces have shifted to an advise and support role. Less than 10,000 US troops and several thousand NATO personnel remain in Afghanistan. As the US withdrew the bulk of its forces last year, the Taliban stepped up operations in southern, western, and eastern Afghanistan and have taken control of several districts and currently contests others throughout the country.

Have you ever heard of the Pakistani supply lines that has the afghan gov on life support. It is a 5th province as we speak which is why it is bombing the Kunar area with impunity as it wishes. You do realize that many Afghan parliament members are bought by Pakistan and others are bought by Iran and others are bought by Russia which is why the Afghan gov is a joke.
please name it. which parliment member are you talking about.
You can never get rid of Pakistani influence because they control supply just like Dost Mohammad, Abdur Rahman, Amanullah khan, Nadir Shah and the ones in between could never get rid of British Influence because they controlled supply. Zahir Shah and Daud muted British/Pakistani influence because they replaced it with Soviet influence. As long as Afghanistan is landlocked, the supplier will influence it.
with implementation of CASA 1000 and TAPI project Afghanistan will control the energy supply lines to pakistan. it is not a joke. Afghanistan control the routes to CAR, in near future Afghanitan will enjoy leverage over pakistan. moreover Chabahar port will counter pakistani influence. today pakistn biggest export market is Afghanistan worth 2 billion dollar, pakistan is going to loose that market to india with chabahar port. http://tribune.com.pk/story/878405/p...h-wagah-ghani/
morever pakistan enjoy free water flowing from Afghanistan, it is going to end very soon.
bull**** taliban propaganda to counter state propaganda. capturing 20 soldiers which are already escaped now and two vehicles does not prove anything.
the fact is they retreat and suffered heavily with almost more than 200 casualties and kunduz is safe. they failed dear. they were of the intention of capturing whole kunduz but it did not happened. http://www.khaama.com/taliban-claims...-in-kuduz-1058
no province is ever going to fall into Taliban hands permanently. Because Taliban are relying on guerilla tactics while Americans and ansf rely on symetric warfare tactics.
the reason why qunduz is being taken for the duration of summer months is to weaken the morale of ansf.
besides some local commanders of ansf want to see Taliban gaining territory. The govt and some media outlets also benefit from this.
those who wish to see a continuation of occupation want to manipulate public opinion so that more peopled around the world continue to support occupation of Afghanistan.
the rumors about Isis and rapid increase in Taliban military capability is worrying politicians and people around the world.
the reason why Ghani keeps saying he fear Isis in Afghanistan is because he wants his paymasters to stay.
meanwhile the strategy of Taliban remains the same. They hit and run. They don't hold ground because its not their objective to do so.
the whole media circus around qunduz & helmand and the rise of Isis in Afghanistan is just a smokescreen. Its all done to persuade people around the world to support new military missions and continue the war and occupation. Many of these people who are being alarmists actually benefit from ongoing war and devestation.
Never talk with Afghans about politics. All their political knowledge is limited to conspiracy theories, political demonization and contradictions. No logic, no reason.

This is the truth. It is almost laughable that those whose minds have been intellectually "inseminated" by the kharij, and who sit in Kabul buttressing more and more adipose onto their pot bellies somehow think they can fool anyone who has studied beyond the 6th grade.
The formula is simple. ISAF and NATO had superior force, backup, training, etc and they still could not eliminate the insurgency completely.
In other places, fools like Raziq were hoisting his brutal ashna and lover Jajo onto the population only to see his patient adversary blow Jajo into the sky after Jajo got a little too comfortable. Back then they were crowing to the moon about Kandahar being "stabilized" before that little scuffle. And back then those rat *******s had NATO and Canada backing them right in their back yard.
Yet somehow a bunch of drugee porno addicted thugs who pretty much are Northern Alliance (ANSF) derived are going to stabilize the whole country in a matter of months? a year or two? When at its peak and during the surge the world powers could not accomplish this across 15 years? What kind of illogic are they attempting to sell?
They tout how they killed Talib commander so and so and did this and that to a particular shura member yet every one of these guys gets replaced with a younger commander raised in the heat of the war.
Really, the effiminate elite know there is only one way they can win and that is to go even beyond NATO's savagery and really inflict such misery on the population that they are left with the choices of continuous misery vs turning over insurgents/not supporting them. This then involves a strategy of letting kharij do the night raids which result in many innocents being hurt + letting ANSF inflict brutality/revenge tactics in these areas. When they do these things, there is really no "winning" but merely betrayal of the worst caliber.
But yes, they dont get the fact that only a fool is going to sit there and face the Kharij air power + an assymmetric hit on the ground. They will recede to survive and pop up elsewhere and draw the consternation of their enemies for the next decade or two.

Security officials in the area have confirmed that the battle is intensifying and that Taliban fighters launched a fresh offensive on Imam Sahib district and that they have taken control of several areas.
widespread battles continued across Kunduz Monday and militants have succeeding in capturing control of some regions especially in the Imam Sahib district. is kunduz going to collapse?
As a general rule, insurgent forces in Afghanistan can not capture cities even when supported by the Pakistani military (see: failed Jalalabad offensive). The countryside is of course an entirely different story.

Don't hold your breath. 1000MW CASA-Project which will be up and running in 2019. By that time 1000mw will only make 2% of Pak total needs. But Afghanistan is also getting payed for it. TAPI also involve India
Afghanistan is not Pak biggest market but one of biggest for sure, most of goods from FATA and KPK are exported to Afghanistan. Exporting from Peshawar to Kabul will always be cheaper then lets say India exporting from Iran. The distance become thousands of miles/weeks instead of 2 hour drive.
Didn't understand your free water point? Do you mean water from rivers?
Another point, India is allowed to export to Afghanistan via Karachi port. And last time I checked Pak is yet to loss any market.

Can you tell us why 1000MW will make 2% of Pak total needs? Not percentage of what its need is but what will be available/is available to Pakistan?
Of your entire exports 14% is to U.S., 12% to Chine and around 10% to Afghanistan. But it is not just percentage and number as it currently stand, it is what you export to Afghanistan and how it impacts Pakistan's economy as whole might be more relevant and important. I believe Afghanistan and CAS is realistically a very strategic market for Pakistan's growth as whole and its inferior industries to develop. I have read some studies suggesting with improved connectivity and overcoming soft barriers trade between CAS and South Asia could amount to USD 20 billions within a decade.
India is not stupid to use Karachi, this will be a strategic suicide. Aside from what we are hearing and Afghanistan urging Pakistan allowing India access to Afghanistan, the Chahbahar port is no myth and will become operational. When? It is an investment that India, Iran and Afghanistan can afford, and of vital strategic importance. India needs it for the USD 10bn it has invested mining the Hajigak iron ore and potentially for other mining investments, investment in other sectors, and of course for trade purpose. I would rule out the proximity as Indian companies are by far efficient and competitive and can capture market with ease especially if the governments of India and Afghanistan wants to nurture and expand this trade. Given the current geo-political vagaries and Pakistan's policies towards Afghanistan it is absolutely imperative that Afghanistan diverges it transit trade through Chahbahar and other routes. There is also the northern route which will provide Afghanistan and CAS easy reach to Europe.
Time is running out. Since U.S. intervention in Afghanistan, as a consequence of Russia's vulnerability China has taken the advantage to penetrate CAS increasing its trade more than ten-fold prior to 2001. I have nothing against this, but China's competitiveness and economic prowess at the same time is a huge challenge for other developing countries around the world to grow and develop. Before you know it there will be noting left in CAS. What is needed is regional economic framework particularly between the muslim states of the region that is beneficial for every body. A wholehearted cooperation and regional integration between South Asia, CAS and Iran and Turkey is the only way forward. Pakistan and its terror sponsorship is not only hurting the region but itself more than any one.

Spec Ops Troops in Afghanistan UPI | May 02, 2015 Although the United States' military role is formally over, airstrikes against Taliban positions continue and U.S. troops remain in combat positions.
U.S. Special Operations troops, serving as advisors and trainers of struggling Afghan government forces, still unleash military operations against the Taliban, the New York Times reported. Officials said NATO and U.S. forces conducted 52 airstrikes in March, targeting Taliban commanders in the most remote parts of Afghanistan, although the U.S. mission formally ended in December.
U.S. troops were sent to Kunar province to advise Afghan forces engaged in battles with Taliban, and drone strikes were ordered for "force protection" to aid those U.S. troops on the ground, two unidentified Western military officials said.
"They are putting guys on the ground in places to justify the airstrikes,' said one.
Gen. John F. Campbell, the leading U.S. commander in Afghanistan denied the accusations, noting he is within his authority to target any Taliban position threatening NATO or U.S. troops, or Afghan security forces.
"Washington is going to have to say what they say politically for many different audiences, and I have no issue with that. I understand my authorities and what I have to do with Afghanistan's forces and my forces. And if that doesn't sell good for a media piece then, again, I can't worry about it. Combat and war and transition, as you know, it's a very complex thing. For me, it's not black and white," Campbell said.
