That's false. American foreign policy for example is still dictated by evangelical christians. Likewise, Israeli policy towards the Palestinians and settlement policy is still largely dictated by religious parties in Israel. The power of the church and the rabbinate is increasing, exponentially. Look at Russia, where the Orthodox Church is gaining more influence on state affairs day by day. The influence of Christian fundamentalism is increasing in Africa each day, with homophobic laws passing in more and more laws. The Muslims have a very long way to go, but so do the Christians and the Jews.

I noticed that some people keep saying that poor Farkhunda did not burn the Quran and that she was falsely accused. I wonder however, what if someone does willingly and knowingly burn pages out of the Quran. Is that reason enough to beat them to death and burn their body? I hope that it is not. And as long as Afghans or other Islamic/religious people will think that it is, our countries will remain the ****holes that they are.

She was falsly accused, they showed that on tolo news. Some mullah wanted to get rid of her becuase she did not like the tuwis (talismans) that he was making to people and asking a lot of money for it. So that subhuman ape, like most of mullahs are, falsly accused her of burning the quran and the mob hit her and burned her to death.

And even if she had burned the quran, killing and hitting a human being for this is outrageous, only subhuman immoral piece of trash would be oke with something like this.

True! Yesterday during Rawroz gathering was talking to this apparently liberal Afghan lady who have white husband and was raised here in states. She goes Farkhunda deserves it for burning Qurhan. The modern world has created deep inferiority complex among Muslims to the point of justifying savagery. Off course Islam has no place for critics and on top of it the colonization/imperialism—middling of western world has further raised the ignorance of our people.
I just hope and wish that this madness doesn’t discourage our people to fight back for there is no other option.

Many Muslims are now thinking on these lines. I swear I was in the office of passport s and a Muslim came requesting the officer to change his religion category from Muslim to Catholic. I asked why? Said being Muslim he faces so many problems of image.

I mentioned that Matiullah Khan was aviolating human rights which I don't endorse. But he was an effective enemy of my enemy Taliban and was backed by the government.
The problem is that Taliban cannot be wiped out by throwing flowers. Mati was cruel on Taliban not on common noncombatant civilians.
