That's not his argument though; what he's saying is that Maliki's policies pushed the Sunni tribes into the influence of DAESH, giving DAESH a support base for them to commit these atrocities.

Same reason why Massoud was pushed to collude with the Soviets because Pakistan forced him by not making sure he received supplies. He didn't have to give Soviets passage and let hundreds of thousands of Afghans die in the process.

Could you repost the documentary so the commie will see it's not an "apologist" rhetoric.

Also the primary targets of Attaturk were the Sufi Brotherhoods who provided more spiritual and moral support for their community rather than Wahabist style bullying that the Taliban/Mullah Omar used, Furthermore Taliban/Mullah Omar show strong Anti-Sufi tendencies. So this claim doesn't hold much merit from historical background.
From what I have read, "The Young Turks group," whom Attaturk was a part of, received education in Europe where the seeds of nationalism were placed. The Young Turks overthrew Abdülhamid II in 1908. The Young Turks took control of Ottoman government and began a process of Turkifying the empire, at the cost of marginalizing the empire’s other groups. This marginalization created the Arab revolts which basically finished off the Ottoman Empire.

So in essence, nationalism destroyed Middle East glory.

Listen, Kemal rose to power becuase the incompetent and archaic sultanate mismanaged the country, Turkey was weak and was invaded by western powers. Kemal rouse and liberated the country, just like how mullah Omar mismanged the country and was weak that led to invasion of USA. Only to bad we don't have a charismatic and secular leader like Kemal, some one like him is hard needed in Afghanistan to wipe weak sell out like you.

The only reason Kemal could rise to power is becuase dum imbecils of sultanate entered WWI and lost the war what led to invasion of their country.

              But continue to ignore this.

                Listen Ghul,
The Sultanate was overthrown in 1908 and the three pashas were nationalist leaders that belonged to "The young Turk group" later called the "Committee of Union and Progress" whom attaturk was a part of. They are the ones who entered WW1, marginalized the other groups in the multicultural Ottoman Empire(which resulted in revolts from those groups), and committed the Armenian genocide. Your own source confirms this.

Your links refute the story about price tags and genital mutilation, not Yazidi women captured and raped by Daesh.

You want to argue about something trivial while you ignore the broader picture.

Absolutely no woman is ever raped by Daesh fighters, even though they have justified taking concubines. You are a genius.

Atatürk eliminated this problem on November 1, 1922, when he abolished the Ottoman sultanate, which had existed since 1299, and officially transferred its power to the GNA. He did not immediately abolish the caliphate, however. Although the sultanate was no more, he allowed the Ottoman caliphate to continue to exist, although with no official powers, only as a symbolic figurehead.

Knowing that this move would be very unpopular among the Turkish people, Atatürk justified it by claiming he was simply going back to a traditional Islamic form of government. From the 900s to the 1500s, the Abbasid caliphs were mostly figureheads, with real power being in the hands of viziers or warlords. Atatürk used this example to justify his creation of a powerless caliphate.
So he actually lied and deceived the Turkish people to gain power.

I'm not for Islamic Government; but having to lie to gain power is sign of being corrupt and ****bag.

When gov enforces morality—just as central planning communist or akhond of Iran/Taliban it will only lead to totalitarianism. Muslims of Afghanistan need to ask themselves about THEIR sense of responsibility? As an individual and as society. But then as Muslims in general have proven themselves to be robotic automatons on the ready to go whacko at any stimulus they find offensive. When a leading Islamic scholar in one of famous Kabul Majid justifies beating and burning a girl alive then there is morality problem of society.
I think the limits to an individual’s liberty ought to be enshrined in the Law on the one hand, and at the mercy of one’s own conscience on the other. Whereas the former applies limitations on our freedoms only from interfering with the freedoms of other individuals, the latter is one that is needed through active propagation amid religious discourse. In Muslim societies, the role of the Mullah should not be to police our moral behavior, but rather, to work on propagating the faith through active debate and written persuasion. If you really are committed to your faith, then surely you can muster the strength to withstand discourse, otherwise your faith isn’t worth two pennies.

Their ideals were foreign ideals(not that there is anything wrong with foreign ideals), but they forced it on people who did not want them nor were used to such ideals.

There were no mullah omars before any of these guys. In fact the ottoman sultanates before attaturk took loans from europe to modernize their empire which actually made them more dependent on europe and paved the way for european influence that eventually overwhelmed them. All attaturk accomplished was to suppress their kurdish minority.
What are all native products then? Deobandi School (from India) and many others of the type, Paki state-funded mufties, and Paki State(before British) sponsored Mullahs..none of these are also indigenous to Afghan or Pashtons. Afghan/Pashtons being a proud nation/ethnicity with history going back thousands of years do not need a religious identity. In other words the use of religion as a means for acquiring political power either in Afghanistan or in Pakistan. What I find truly absurd however is most of so called islamist and their sympathizer of calling democracy, freedom and human rights as foreigners yet at the same time they wear the mass-produced clothing fashioned by machines produced in the west, drive cars invented by liberal minds, their struggle for a longer life is assisted by technological innovations in non-Muslim countries, they get rich by selling the oil once exploited and then demanded by liberal industrialized nations, their best schools borrow from the knowledge gained from liberal Democracies. Worst Muslims engaged in the heinous crimes with weapon and technology produced by liberal democracies yet the western idea is nonnative (Before it was simply kafir and now it’s non-native.)
In western countries…somewhere along their gradual evolution to nationhood, there were people who figured that if their faith in god was real, then it wouldn’t matter if others refuse to share their religious perspective, so long as they’ve the right to practice their belief in peace. It is this mentality in all Liberal Democracies that has ensured discourse, the creativity it stimulates, the subsequent productivity it leads to, and the general prosperity it practically guarantees. If the United States performs better than the rest of her counterparts, it is because of the fact that unlike the Europeans, Americans additionally ensure a liberal business climate. You cannot ignore the positive correlation between freedom and economic prosperity. A lack of freedom is precisely why Muslim nations are in an eternal state of coma. It’s about time we all woke up!
