First let's look at what Stockhold syndrome is:
Stockholm syndrome, or capture-bonding, is a psychological phenomenon in which hostages express empathy and sympathy and have positive feelings toward their captors, sometimes to the point of defending and identifying with the captors.
I have seen numerous time on this forum that a member ghumbasa brings this up in her argumentation whenever she is having a debate. This is especially used against pro Afghan members. Members that are from the Pakistani side of durand line and who want's freedom.
Apparently we are hostages and express empathy and sympathy and have positive feelings toward our captors, sometimes to the point of defending and identifying with our captors - apparently she believes we are taken hostage by Afghans.
"If we look at history all our leaders from this side of durand line want a separation from Pakistan! You go ask the leadership of ANP and all of them will say they would love to separate from Pakistan. Go ask Mehmood Khan Achakzai he will answer the same - Of course they won't say this publicly because then they would be put in jails like Bacha Khan Baba, Ghani Khan and thousands of others. Bacha Khan baba even requested to be buried in Jalalabad because he did not want to be put to rest on occupataid land.
Watch this. No better leader in modern Pashtun history then Bacha Khan:
Listen to his last words.
"Ma sara da wada wokay"
"Che Mung pa koshish kawo da Pakhtun da youwali"
Now don't come and tell me he is not Pashtun, but Afghanistani... Btw it's Afghan"
(Taken from Jamaludin in the other thread, Liked it very much. Well put)
It is so ironic because reality is the exact opposite!
No one can deny that we belonged to one country - Afghanistan! The british separated us and promised to give us back to Afghanistan after 100 years!
So in our case we are Hostages and the captor is Pakistan and Ghumbasa and many others have developed empathy and sympathy and have positive feelings toward this captor Pakistan and to the point that they defend and identify themselves with the captors.
So ghumbasa don't use the Stockhold syndrome in the wrong context anymore.
