The presence of great saints like Pir Baba, Saidu Baba, Akhund Darweza baba, Rehman baba, Kaka saib and many other thousands of saints in Pashtunland mean Brelvi or Sufi Islam. This is exactly what Punjabis or Indian Muslims or Sindhis do today.

Also remember the peace when Pashtunland was dominated by Sufi islam and the bloodshed you have today because of Wahabi Deobandi Islam. ISI, Punjab, Pakistan etc used to exist before 1979 but Pashtunland was not ridden by Taliban and terrorism as it is today because of the Wahabi Islam.

Punjab and Sindh have no problems because they do not have Deobandi Islam and Baluchistan is at total peace(except political issues) because of no religion at all.
Thats not true. Bareilwism was founded in 1901, but hindu like practices were always there in punjab, sindh and india. The hanafis in our areas , before this deobandi/bareilwi catagorization, were always free from these hindu shirkia influences.

These so called shirkya influences give color to life. This pure monotheism is an Arab desert Bedoin tradition as in desert you have nothing, similarly in life you are devoid of every color, every tradition, every celebration and every form of enjoyment. Look at the Islamist Arab world. No achievement in culture, sculpture, music, art, dance etc because of this excessive monotheism.

Iran , India(including Punjab), Central Asia(including Afghanistan) have very rich cultures so this mixing of local touches with religion of Islam is a natural reaction to the oversimplified Islamic traditions. Go with it, do not do away with these enchanting traditions and practices by Wahabism.

The Hanafi Pashtuns before the invasion of Wahabism were celebrating many events like zyarats. Pashto word for Thursday is Zyarat because on each Friday night there used to be celebrations on shrines of saints.

I remember my grandma used to go to a baba shrine and pray for welfare of the family and asking for male children by tying knots to the threads on the tomb. Many used to kiss and prostrate to those holy places like Punjabis of today but Salafism and Wahabism destroyed those beautiful practices. Still in many Pashtun areas such celebrations on the patterns of Punjab can be seen.

I hate undue criticism of other ethnicities and cultures. How can you tell a group of people in a despicable way that they are bad because they eat dal(pulses). Food has nothing to do with greatness of smallness of a nation or ethnic group. Hindus or Buddhists do not eat meat but they have given the best civilizations to the world. India is today's largest democracy. Muslims do not eat pork while Christians eat it but Christian pork eaters are now global powers.

By the way in modern world pulses and vegetables are considered better food than meat. Pulses is the best source of proteins and if Punjabis are dal eaters, I extend my heartiest congrats to them on their this habit. Meat especially beef cause a lot of problems.

Although food is not part of religion and I do not know this hadith is authentic or not but I have read this hadith that according to “Chashma-e-shifa-Prophetic medicine" in which the author has naratted one hadith that prophet (pbuh) said “There is cure in cow’s milk, its butter is medicine and its meat is disease”.

It means Pashtuns are proud of the meat which their Prophet called disease.

Come on now. Don't post so much video of @Pakwatan @Da Bannu Mazdigar mother, family and relatives.

Hope Pashtuns realize once for all. Pakistan is British made *****. Highest bidder will get her harami sons to fight and die for, or simply drive Taxi trucks to supply enemies of Pashtuns/Afghans etc.
i hgave to agree with you cult of de banu mazigar is ruling over the country and exploit pashtuns in the name of religion, then kill them.

And Believe me such People are responsible for the present state of pashtuns.

Pashtuns earlier were wealthy compared to the indic races like punjabis and hence had access to meat instead of Pulses But today a average punjabi is a huge margin wealthy than a Pakistani pashtuns let alone the Pashtuns from Afghanistan side

Badlun Da Bannu Mazdigar Dhalkhor doesnt strictly means pulse-eater, it means vegetarian and this term was used in derogatory sense for hindus and hindus-like muslims. You may have seen some punjabi or sindhi eating meat, thanks to the increasing influence of pashtuns/balochs since 1947, but overall they have still prefrence to cook mostly vegetable and pulses food in the homes, dont check their cities, go and observe their villages. In U.P, rohilkhand got famous due to meaty foods, due to rohilla settlers and they introduced it into pakistan.
But what does dhalkhor means here?. It signifies their hindu origin , their hindu culture and their hindu habits, and "baniya" mentality. Pakis are two-tongued slimy snakes, just like hindus are. They can eat as much meat as they want, but it wont change their asal.

and Badlun dont spread bs, meat was favourite food of holy Prophet p.b.u.h.
Humans are not herbivors, they are omnivors. Hindu's vegetarian is unhealthy concept, they have to take protien supplements and multivitamens. Any how dhalkhor/vegetarian word here signify hindu-like mentality, dont be so literal.

Only poor people in rural Sindh and Punjab do this, otherwise educated middle class Sindhis and Punjabis don't do any of this especially Muhajir people who are more urbane and educated, also ever since the Zia era, the Pakistani middle classes have become more conservative and puritanical.

I know some people that visit shrines but they only do fateha and pay respects to the saints, they don't worship them or engage in shirk.

Every culture is guilty of committing some Shirk, just look at some Pashtun nationalists who put Pashtunwali on a pedestal, in fact i know a Pashtun guy that told me that for him and his family, Pashtunwali is more important than Islam.

Fortunately us hazarewals don't engage in any kind of shirk, and our pashtunwali is watered down.

                      Past tense,

                      Today Pakistan ranks

*3rd in the world by Goat meat(After CHina/India)
*9th in the world by Beef
*Among the top 20 in poultry

Meat Consumption in Pakistan is b/w 23-34 KG compared to less than 13kg per person in Afghanistan/India

NOTE:A new source's which i could not find at the moment claimed that Pakistan meat consumption per capita is 29kg(Compared to 39KG of iran despite having 3-4times higher per capita income than a average Pakistani)

Dhal Consumption per capita for Pakistan is 6.57kg(India in excess of 11kg while meat consumption per capita is only 3.6kg) though i have no source for Afghansitan regarding dhal consumption and iran is almost similar to Pakistan

NOTE:Now I don't buy that Just 14% of Pakistani population(pashtuns) are responsible for this high meat consumption in Pakistan.

Meat today is associate with income in Pakistan.Poor will prefer Dhal and Vegs while Rich prefer Meat all around Pakistan irrespective of ethnicity.

By 2020 Pakistan will surpass countries like iran in meat consumption as people of Pakistan are crazy for meat and the per capita of both countries will hardly have any difference because negative growth in iran GDP upto 2017-18 as predicted by world bank/imf

Sindhis and Punjabis both come from Hindus, but only Punjabis deny this because of thousands years humiliation of being "low castes" and never being able to defened themselves against small armies of foreign invaders that always beat and looted them and made them feel bad about their Indian race and Hindu traditions.

Sindhis however at least admit that they are a historically Hindu people which is why they are much more respectable people than Punjabis. Sindhis are not ashamed of it unlike Punjabis who dont want other people to see them for the Hindus that they are but want other people to see Punjabis for what Punjabis fantasize themselves to be, namely descendants of some Mughals or Persians or Arabs etc

So what if their ancestors were Hindu converts? Most Baloch and Pashtuns descend from Budhist,Hindu and Zoroaster converts(a mix of all 3), and there is a minority of Baloch Hindus too, Balochistan is also home to one of the oldest temples in Pakistan.

Also you Baloch are culturally more like Sindhis and look like them too, so calling your brothers "Hindu" would calling yourself one too, you guys are only vaguley related to the Pashtuns because of the Iranic link and also because Baloch nawabs love marrying Afghan women and that's why your rich Baloch chiefs look more mixed than your average Baloch who looks like Mama Qadeer.

lol this is funny, you're a Baloch and Baloch people claim to be descendants of Kurds yet you guys look nothing like kurds nor dress like them.

There are also many Baloch who claim Arab descent from Omani times, others claim African origin and many claim Afghan origins.

I know a Baloch girl on twitter who claims her grandma was an Afghan yet she looks Sindhi/Punjabi, hilarious stuff.
