Pashtunkhwa is an invented name for a Pakistani province. Afghanistan was carved out of the Persian empire and since then suffered from invasions, coups, wars and instability. Pashtuns have a fairly short history when compared to other Afghanistani ethnicities.

read the books of khushal khan,Ahmad shah abdali and malak yar Gharsheen.

True afghan/pashtun speak pashtu not farso.A bunch of persian claming on pashtun history that is the worst part.
Pathan is the indain name of pashtun, khanum dzj.
No pakhtun use this term in daily life.
Afghan is the name of race.
Afghan and pashtun are same but the word pashtun is more older.
Iranian and mugals used the term afghan for pashtuns .
