  • Again, I am neutral. You should not be aggressive. I express my views, just as you are.

You should not use civility when it benefits and then resort to uncivil manners when it does not.

Neither one of us knows the whole story. We can only go based on what we read. And, what we read might be the same sources. We are just analyzing differently.

In the end, none of you say will matter, and none of what I say will matter.

We are here as two humans disucssing what could be the problem and how can we solve it. Obviously, we will agree and then disagree and then agree, and so on.

I am done chatting with you.

You may be very smart and intelligent and well read. But the language you just used, threw all that out of the window.

    waqt ba khair!

    • Alan Dershowitz doesn't deserve politeness no matter how polite he himself may come across; I have had enough of "politeness" when it comes to dealing with strategically deceptive, self-deceptive individuals like you who peddle your own ethnic interests in the language of humanity, friendship and national unity.
Every non-Pashtun needs to turn this into a slogan to be repeated again and again to Afghan Pashtuns: you either have unity with us or unity with your brethren across the border but you cannot have both. We will never, EVER accept Loy Afghanistan, Id prefer to have the rivers of blood flow and flow if it means separation to that wretched fate.

The Paki Pashtuns don't want Afghan Pashtuns, and neither do they care about Loy Afghanistan. The majority are integrated and patriotic Pakistanis.

What you are suggesting is what I am suggesting. If we go way back, then the people who originally settled in these lands should have these lands.

Who are these people? These people their DNA run in you and in me through inter-marriage.

We have only recently created an identity for ourselves. So, the Tajik nationalistic identity is only recent. It came about due to foreign whisperers.

For all you and I could know, me and you have the same ancestral tree.

So, these "ethnic" lines are false and only to stir emotions for a nationalistic sentiments.
          Wrora, get your sources straight.

"Tajik identity" was created during samanid, ghorid, thahirid and saffarid kingdoms. Actually even many persianized turkic such as ghaznawids, timurids, seljuqs and khwarezmids have contributed to our identity and I am proud of it. Believe, I don't care about their ethnicity. I feel damn proud of Moguls, whom despite being a turkic tribe, because they spread my language and my culture. But when you claim tajik its a word created during the safavid era, you are completely wrong.

The most plausible and generally accepted origin of the word is Middle Persian tāzīk ‘Arab’ (cf. New Persian tāzi), or an Iranian (Sogdian or Parthian) cognate word. The Muslim armies that invaded Transoxiana early in the eighth century, conquering the Sogdian principalities and clashing with the Qarluq Turks (see Bregel, Atlas, Maps 8–10) consisted not only of Arabs, but also of Persian converts from Fārs and the central Zagros region (Bartol’d [Barthold], “Tadžiki,” pp. 455–57). Hence the Turks of Central Asia adopted a variant of the Iranian word, täžik, to designate their Muslim adversaries in general. By the eleventh century (Yusof Ḵāṣṣ-ḥājeb, Qutadḡu bilig, lines 280, 282, 3265), the Qarakhanid Turks applied this term more specifically to the Persian Muslims in the Oxus basin and Khorasan, who were variously the Turks’ rivals, models, overlords (under the Samanid Dynasty), and subjects (from Ghaznavid times on). Persian writers of the Ghaznavid, Seljuq and Atābak periods (ca. 1000–1260) adopted the term and extended its use to cover Persians in the rest of Greater Iran, now under Turkish rule, as early as the poet ʿOnṣori, ca. 1025 (Dabirsiāqi, pp. 3377, 3408). Iranians soon accepted it as an ethnonym, as is shown by a Persian court official’s referring to mā tāzikān “we Tajiks” (Bayhaqi, ed. Fayyāz, p. 594). The distinction between Turk and Tajik became stereotyped to express the symbiosis and rivalry of the (ideally) nomadic military executive and the urban civil bureaucracy (Niẓām al-Molk: tāzik, pp. 146, 178–79; Fragner, “Tādjīk. 2” in EI2 10, p. 63).

I am starting to believe that our dear brother Tamim is just another "we are all afghans but only pashtuns are afghans".

            Pity.

For the life in me I do not understand why they have both turned so viciously against me. Respect in my eyes means to allow someone to say what they need to and not attacking them personally when they disagree with you.

I have kept my neutrality to the point of telling them that if they want to go their ways that they should.

I am only telling them the consequences their actions will bring them.

I am not the authority that will grant them their partition. It is foolish to think that I am and by discrediting me or by converting me that their vision will come to fruition.

I feel the "respect" ran out when I expressed my opinion against theirs.

Everyone has a view and can prove that view. If you are going to be my friend because I agree with you then what friendship is that?

I do not see their view as working, but hey, if they feel so passionately about it, then who am I to stop them.

However, the premises on which they base their arguments I feel are flawed.

But, who cares for logic or authority. Look at how Abdullah is blackmailing the elections process. He might win and get his way, if it means that Afghanistan will be peaceful.

I feel that Dr Abdullah will not settle unless he is given ultimate victory, even if in the end, after all "clean" votes are counted and determine that Ghani won, that he will still call his parallel government.

I feel that my conversation with these brothers is as such. I feel they are saying, either accept what we say is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, or we believe that your line of thinking is "we are all afghans but only pashtuns are afghans".

                  • It seems that the world's opinion of the Afghan elections crisis is to blame it on Islam and the reason why we are not able to live amongst ourselves in peace.

                    Heartbreaking.

Even if a fish misbehaves in the sea, they blame it on Islam.

I think you people need to decide first if you even want to be called Afghan or not. I see here herat, who probably is RTR but I don't know, claiming not be Afghan and want partition and when we Pashtun call only each other Afghan it is not good and we are ethnocentrists but when we also include you in Afghan you cry about atacking your identety. LOL, You guys are so funny what is it that you smoke?

                        • People judge the tree by its fruit.

Unfortunately, when people cry the loudest Allahu Akbar and then act like juhalaa, then people think that it is a reflection of their faith.

                          • I find it fascinating that this will be an unprecendented audit in the history of audits. In other words, all state of the art technologies will be applied. Never in history has there been a 100% audit.

Again, Afghanistan used as a Guinea pig.

As long as it will bring stability I am okay with this new approach and technology being used on us.

May be thats the reason why we refuse to call ourselves "afghan".

And we don't smoke any sh*t. Drug dealing is part of your tribal culture, not ours.
