Dr. Abdullah's biggest mistake was to insult Dr. Ghani and all authority, include President Karzai.

He has basically trashed the idea of authority and its legitimacy. So, it seems ironic that he wants to be in authority.

His actions show his maturity, not only his personal maturity but also his political maturity.

Now, his pride won't allow him to mend the situation.

It will take a lot more from him to patch the matter. He has said a lot that he can't take back. He now needs to dig really deep and find it in himself to accept all blame, if, one, he patches the situation with his opponents, or, two, if he is the cause of Afghanistan's new civil war.

He has to find a way to extend an olive branch and others have to find it in themselves to accept his olive branch. Otherwise, our country is going to go into full turmoil.

I hope for the sake of the ma'sum people of Afghanistan these candidates and their advisers and supporters can learn to swallow their pride.

The ma'sum people of Afghanistan are GOOD people. And, the majority of Afghans are ma'sum.

What did people expect from a warlord frog eyed creatures like this arab-tajik adbdullah x2?

He is expert in civil war, he and his former criminal warlord master Masud burned down and destroyed most of Kabul, Kandahar etc with his fellow terrorist partners gulbuddin, and other traitors like Dostum.

These s-cum are perfectly capable to start a new civil war and then flew to Europe, Dubai, Pakistan or USA!!
To Paradise, with Pakhto, I will go.

They weren't in war under Karzai government. Actually because Karzai want a centralized government, he have offered many high governmental posts to nothern warlords.
In case of a civil war Abdullah and company have literally zero chance of success.

Hmmm, you mean between Karzai/Ghani and Abdullah/Atta? With all due respect but Karzai has no militias, no army, no soldiers,.. only talibans. Most of ANA officials are tajiks or former NA commanders (MoI included). Three days ago Mr Karzai deposed Gen. Zahir (NA commander)... but that order was revoked by Bismillah Khan Muhammadi.

BTW I have read some news on FB that claim some key corps of ANA (201 and 207) have made new allegiances to Abdullah. Things are escalating too quickly... lets pray for the unity of our country and our people.

Another important factor that really concerns me that I have not mentioned is the role the Afghan media is playing.

The media is supposed to remain neutral

I feel that they want the turmoil and instability to continue. I feel they are on Dr Abdullah's side.

Whenever I read or hear some news from media sources inside Afghanistan, it seems that they keep repeating the same question to the Ghani camp: why do you not accept Dr. Abdullah's wishes?

Dr Abdullah's wishes is to take the seat of presidency, at all costs.

They do not ask the Abdullah camp why they do not want to forsake everything for the system even if it is corrupted. They don't try to put the Abdullah team on the spot and keep repeating the same question that why for the sake of the peace of the nation you don't tone it down.

The media wants turmoil. It seems they want to see Dr. Abdullah win, even if Dr. Ghani has legitimately won.

I have a feeling that something happened that was not supposed to happen. The script did not play out as planned. Someone spoiled the plot.

Could this have been Amarkhel who spoiled the party?

Either the IEC rigged more in favour of Ghani (meaning that rigging happened and was supposed to only happen for Dr. Abdullah but someone internally also dumped a lot of votes for Dr. Ghani) or truly Ghani did win and this they did not expect .

It could be very possible that Dr Ghani did legitimately win. First round of voting has nothing to do with the second. The second round is a completely new and fresh round.

It seems that it was written that Dr. Abdullah was supposed to win. Perhaps, this is the reason why he is SO upset. He just can't say it, but his is tone and message can be a hint.

What is ironic is that the Ghani team also says they have concerns of corruption but will allow for the process to take its course.

The media make it seem that Dr Ghani's team is not cooperating and want a speedy conclusion to the matter so they can be declared the victors as soon as possible.

The Ghani team have said that they want the timelines to be followed. It is only after the release of preliminary results that investigations can take place for concerns. Which make sense.

Why is Dr Abdullah so concerned with the preliminary results?

Ironically, whatever Dr Abdullah's team have wanted Dr Ghani's team have acquiescence.

Could Dr Ghani's team's behaviour be a sign of non-involvement in the process?

Dr Abdullah's team basically wants to win, they have no care for the process. Dr. Abdullah's aim is to win and winning is what he will take, or he will plunge the country into chaos.

I feel that the media is on Dr Abdullah's side and keep putting Dr Ghani's team on the spot and keep repeating the same questions but from different angles. They want Dr Ghani's team to trip and misspeak so they can use that as evidence.

I feel that the Afghan media has played a large role in the deteriorating situation.

If the media wants Dr Abdullah to win they will end up being the agents of war.

There is more than 300000 troops in Afghanistan, including police. Northern alliance have at max 10000 troops. The rest are ordinary people who have signed in for military duty.
It seems you obviously have never been to Afghanistan. Every Afghan is a militia, especially in the country side. I am yet to see a family who doesn't own a gun. Demographic wise, geographic and military wise, Abdullah is trying to balance himself in a very thin rope.

I must disagree. Even in the West media has his own interest and political agenda. Same thing happens in Afghanistan.

Some media run by tajiks (TOLO or Ariana) have taken Abdullah´s side while others more "pashtunist" (such as KHAAMA or Pahjwok) have "endorsed" Ghani.

Bro you are being very harsh with Abdullah but you didn't say a single word against Ghani. I would like to remind you that Ghani has committed fraud (actually both of them did, but our government has endorsed Ghani). If we are going to condemn then lets condemn both of them. Please, don't take side.

To be honest, I actually wanted Dr Abdullah to win. I felt that his country-wide support from different ethnicities and religions of Afghanistan could bring the ultimate unity.

However, for the purpose of what has transpired after the elections I am analyzing that situation, I am not taking anyone's side. I am being neutral.

It must be noted that Dr Ghani has maintained his composure and civility. Obviously, this could also be a sign corruption. We have seen how calm dictators come into power and how they calmly rule.

But, what has intrigued me is the way we have reached this deadlock. I am just trying to analyze why is Dr Abdullah behaving the way he is.

Why does he feel he SHOULD have won. Why is he claiming victory? He says because it is HIS!

                            Do you follow?

The media by definition is supposed to be neutral.

My concern is the language and tone Dr Abdullah is using. Can this be a hint into what has happened behind the curtains. And, are these pro-Abdullah channels part of the plot?

My main concern with my above post is the media and their role.

I have a feeling that if media take a neutral stance that both sides can work together.

Obviously, you will have media pro for each side. They are human beings, afterall. However, the pro-Abdullah sources know more than they are saying. They are behaving in absolute terms.

It is impossible to behave in absolute terms unless you know something concrete.

I might be wrong, but that is what I see.

Just let see what is going to happen.
First of all, Pashtunist isn't a word. Second of all, there doesn't exist Pashtun nationalist group in Afghanistan(if that what you're referring to)

Thirdly, Abdullah and Atta noor is the fascists who try to dominate other ethnicities. At least if they helped their own ethnicities, but they don't even do that.

It is all about militia. once a person tries to take power via force(what abdullah is doing), people will automatically take arms against him.

Where do you get that idea, that most high rank officials are NA? Do you have proof or are you just pulling things out of your ass? By the way, NA consisted of many groups and Abdullah was just one of the warlords.

I guess we wait and see regarding whether Abdullah gets hanged, beheaded or displaced in a museum for extinct animals.
