Hazara are a majority in only two provinces.. the total population of whom is not more than 800,000 (an exaggerated estimate) and are in the middle of the country which are the most inhospitable to human life..
Tajiks are a majority in few provinces in the north i.e. Takhar, Badakhshan, Parwan, Panjshir, and Kapisa. the rest of the province are either mixed or dominated by Pashtun and/or a much smaller ethnic group.. you can call aimaks or any other ethnic group Tajik.. but that does not makes them Tajik. So Pashtuns are lord of the land.. Tajikistan is a failed state by all international accounts but even they consider Afghnistani Tajiks as backward.. having no Tajiks (God forbid I am not implying genocide or mass deportation in anyway shape or form) by joining there provinces with Tajikistan would only be beneficial to rest of Afghanistan.. Moreover, I do feel that Shias should not be discriminated against or any other ethnic or religious minority for that matter.

Why are you so keen on giving away the northern parts to Tajiks or Tajikistan so easily?

Pashtuns do not have the luxury of choosing their own destiny, because they have latched themselves onto Pakistan for protection. The Punjabi elite gets to decide the course of actions.

Because this half blooded twit, thinks he has some justification that their halfbreed family can endure more riches and have more power when in "majority".

He doesn't know Tajikistan is a half breed/Russia-Mongol utopia. People there have no knowledge of true Afghan/Pashtun culture, language etc. Identity loss sheep's and would gladly piss on these arabo-al tajiks northern alliance thugs.
To Paradise, with Pakhto, I will go.

I have said this before and I will say it again my friend, this civil war will be unlike any we have ever seen: you see this time it won't be a civil war between warlord militias, it will be a true ethnic civil war between ethnic populations. The Pashtun population will be driven by retribution against the government and non-Pashtuns and the non-Pashtuns this time will mobilize in the masses to fight for their own lands. No one will be able to prevent the unfolding of the partition of Afghanistan along ethnic lines. You said you are a Northern Pashtun, right? Better start packing for the south if you don't want to live with Tajiks friend.

I told you not to quote me my Arab friend. Your a total nut-case with your "partition" nonsense and its getting really annoying.

Why the hell should i move to the south? my family is not from there nor does their ancestry derive from there. Maybe you should pack your bags, and move across the amu darya into Tajikistan?

            Happy safar!

I dont think some of the people here really understand what the hell will happen

they live in a naive diaspora bubble

Do you think the ahmadzai-abdullah agreement can actually settle things?

personally i think its just delaying the inevitable

Pashtuns will be the biggest losers by far

I am not going to respond to the BS that you uttered.. because that only shows a persons back ground..

However, sticking to the topic..., what percentage of population of Afghanistan are true afghans.. how many are true to afghan cause? can you trust them with not siding with outsiders like they always do..?

Also, to whoever who said that Pashtuns in Afghanistan are counting on Pakistan,.. Pashtuns in Afghanistan can hold their own.. they do not need any help from anyone..
What really drives me hazy is it me or are the others crazy

The way I see it, if Abdullahs camp have their way, Afghanistan will disintegrate in any scenario: if they succeed in decentralising the state, they will have de-facto partitioned it; the Pashtun camp, including Karzai, have always understood this, that is why they vehemently oppose it. Alternatively, Abdullahs camp may marginalize Pashtuns a la Maliki did Sunnis in Iraq and balkanization will follow a civil war. I don't see how Ghani can ultimately "settle" things either, the problem with Afghanistan, my friend, is that it just cannot work, and that property is intrinsic in centralized rule: I just can't see how we can appease one group (the tribal Pashtun folk) without inflaming another (non-Pashtuns) in a centralized system. But a decentralized system is de-facto balkanization anyway. Basically Afghanistan is a failure of a state by its very nature.

David Gibbs (see the article I posted on page 8) put it nicely: "Afghanistan has a tradition of ethnic and religious separation and differences and being able to manage these multicultures together would require extremely delicate political maneuvering, which in all probability won’t be shown by whichever government wins in the election."

By the way, when the civil war in Syria began and partition broached, there were analysts who contended the argument we frequently see here: that the ethnic distribution of Syria was too mixed to make partition feasible. Well they don't need to, or at least won't need to, worry about that anymore: the IDP problem in Syria has an absolute pattern you see; the Sunni Arabs are fleeing areas under the governments control where the minorities predominate and the minorities are fleeing rebel controlled territories (Sunni Arab regions). Thus Syrias disintegration accelerates as the war rages on, all the while the groups there, especially the Sunni Arab majority, refuse to even broach partition. I suspect the civil war in Afghanistan will have a similar effect: the problem of scattered minorities will "solve" itself after a few years of ethnic civil war. In fact, since Afghanistans problem is ethnic as opposed to merely sectarian, I am sure its disintegration is far more likely and will happen quicker than Syrias.

Mountain boy, have you not learned by now that presumptions about other people's position in a debate is not a wise thing to do? On the contrary, my view is that the only thing this western occupation did was cost 20k lives and a lot of squandered American money, all the while prolonging the inevitable disintegration of your failed colonial-legacy state (you must be proud of your grand-daddy Abdul Rahman Khan, may his name be obliterated that piece of cow-dung, who sold not only your own brethren across the border but also sealed our fate to your accursed land with a border to the North). I would have infinitely preferred and still prefer the Taliban government to this occupation, you see with the Taliban in power, it was only a matter of time before the non-Pashtuns would have recovered their will from the exhausting prior civil war to ignite yet another country wide civil war and finally deal the death blow to this cursed state. Instead we get 13 years of occupation that amounted to nothing but a prolonging of the inevitable. You should be thanking Britain and America for giving life-support to your state my friend, they gave your Afghanistan 13 extra years of life.

Wishful thinking. Dont dwell on statistics that pashtuns are 38-42% of afghanistan . Your khorasani movement is only limited to tajikam.com.

I agree that iron amir was indeed selfish piece of shyt, from pashtun perspective. But you tajiks are supposed to praise him, he gave you people 42% instead of 85% pashtun majority Afghanistan. And be thankful to God that you tajiks and uzbeks were in afghanistan instead of ending up in russian empire/soviet.

I don't give a rats arse how much of the population of Khost you Pashtuns make, my only concern is our native lands in the North, where you immigrant Pashtuns always have been, are and forever will remain a minority. Even if the Durand did not exist, it would make little difference, we would be a smaller minority as the Kurds are in Iraq but our lands would remain our lands. Now get the hell out of the North, this isn't your land, is not your land and never will be your land. GET OUT OF OUR LANDS.
And no, Id much prefer current Uzbekistan and Tajikistan to your Pashtunistan hellhole.

                                Dear Herat,
Your the type of person, I would hate to live alongside with or to have my kids around. I never liked ethno fascists and never will. You come into this forum and insult Pashtuns as if the non-Pashtuns have picked you as their spokesperson.

Neither side are perfect and neither side benefits of how the situation is in Afghanistan or tomorrow. The fact is Muslims will never have a peaceful country or be able to manage a country of their own unless they are stooges of the west. Name me one independent Muslim country today that is not influenced by the outside? If Pashtuns have gained from Britain in the past, presently non-Pashtuns have gained from the US and Nato nations. There is no difference between the past and present. All ethnic groups have become slaves of the west, which includes you.

So I ask all sides to stop your stupidity and try to come up with a peaceful solution for the population and come out of the fantasy world.
