I think time away from Pakistan will do you good. I know many educated Pashtuns from that side of the durand pula who came to completely different realizations (who have no nationalist links) once they were out of that brainwashing environment. I was surprised at how they were far more critical of Pakistan and described being young patriots once long ago. They talk about how much of a mess Pakistan has made of Peshawar which they told me was once a beautiful city.

The above posts prove that Pakistan is like a modern day neo-nazi Germany with brainwashing its citizens to be "proud pakis" while killing it's people behind their backs so its citizens don't start and uprising or protest.

The 2 ISI protecting stooges here Pakwatan and banu murtad are good prime examples what is wrong with pakistan. They protect these same criminals who are killing minorities and ignore looking that the ground realties.

I am raised in a family not very pro Pakistani family although you can believe anything you want.

I believe in hard facts supported by credible source's,Yes there are some personal reasons i declare taliban as subhuman and will support anyone against them but it doesn't mean i will blindly supported the Pakistani army or govt.

Peshawar is more beautiful than it was earlier,it is growing despite the terrorism activities in the past and has a great future ahead ,All because of the hardworking people of Peshawar

I don't know about that - I have friends educated in Islamia College who where born in the British era of 1940 and they say that each time they go back its more and more desperate. They emphasis they place is on:

          1) The decimation of wild life and greenery
          2) Overpopulation and associated misery
          3) Load shedding
          4) Increased crime and uncertainty

This is from their mouths directly.

They place an emphasis on the large gap between the haves and have nots as well.

I would say the gradient of physicians who are constantly heading out and never heading back from the US is a weathervane that seems to point to their assessments being reasonable.

One told me of a prominent physician, a cardiologist from Michigan who went back to help and was robbed by his own poor family. They broke his legs and arms and then shot the poor old man.

brainwashing is a very real phenomena in Pakistan. Military is supposed to be worshiped, so is ISI. You can't question anything about them.

I know many people personally who have come outside and changed their views.

Pakwatan seems to be a very recent migrant, perhaps in 10 years or so he will change his views too

You can dance around the "We just hedged our bets on him", but that doesn't take away from the obvious, or justify the killing of Pashtuns at the hands of some fat-belly folks in Pindi. There are hundreds of interviews of Taliban folks saying they turned sour with Pakistan after they realized that on one hand they are lovey-dovey with us, but on the contrary they tell the US they are hunting us. The fact is, the Pakistanis didn't think their stooges would catch on, especially when in Kandahar, during their regime, "Televisions" were banned(so no source of education for the populace), and having a cell-phone with a graphical user interface, meant that you are supporting devils, etc.

Don't justify nonsense Pakwatan, deep down inside you know the truth.
Admin Khan saab, I don't seem to understand your viewpoint here.

Pakistan Army has oppressed Pashtuns, ANA has abused Pashtuns, even the Taliban has oppressed Pashtuns. There is nobody that is correct here. You seem to have a particlar bias against Pakistan army. Admin Khan saab, are you from Pakistani tribal areas? Have you personally witnessed atrocities? I am curious? I am not here for propaganda, but for truth. So I ask you, that have you seen atrocities committed?

You have said a very big thing here. You have called me a Murtad. It is the time of Ramzan. Do you think you have any right, to call someone murtad? My younger brother, please use your brain.

You have every right to call me a murtad, or kaafir, but this accusation will hurt you the most.

                Do you know my niyaat?

I might have a different position from you, but you called me a murtad. This is not acceptable. Apologize and ask forgiveness from Allah swt.

I don't want you to have any sins, as a fellow Muslim.

I did not call you a murtad, i called our dear friend from banu that. Please learn to read and do not teach me about islam if you defend the war crimes of the pak army on muslims.

Pakwatan, may I ask you something: Could you please expound as to the grounds on which you distinguish between the Afghan and Pakistani Taliban, please? You see, unlike Da Bannu Mazdigar whose antipathy seems to extends to all the Taliban, you have in the past here defended the Afghan Taliban but for some odd reason you except the TTP. The reason escapes me because as far as I can discern there is little, if any, difference between the souls of these two groups: their birth may have been in different circumstances but both now are tribal Pashtun insurgent movements against a repressive government, it just happens that one also has been propped up by the US (while the other is endorsed by the US). When the US leaves, will you treat the Afghan Taliban in the same vein as the TTP? Folks see here this is what you call self-deception and a very flagrant one at that: this ridiculous Pakistani narrative that the Afghan Taliban and the TTP are somehow essentially different phenomenon that seems to be the standard amongst Punjabi Pakistanis.

This is the Pak nationalist view: Afghan taliban are good because they are fighting an afghan government which is pro India and anti pakistan.

TTP is bad because they are fighting pakistan army and killing pakistani citizens and they are being supported by India and outside powers

^ on paper this argument looks good, however anyone who has studied this matter in detail knows that things are not this black and white. There are many sides to matter. Unfortunately Pak nationalists turn a blind eye and look at this matter from only their point of view and especially their hatred of India even blind's them further.

Today 90 people died in a car bombing, in Paktika province.

At least 89 people die in huge car bomb attack as United Nations says civilian casualties are soaring.

I hope the bloodlust of Mullah Omar and his followers is quenched for now.
