Runoff vote results to be announced as scheduled: Noor

The Independent Election Commission of Afghanistan (IEC) officials said the results for the runoff presidential election will be announced as scheduled.
IEC spokesman, Noor Mohammad Noor, said the vote counting process is being conducted normally and the results will be announced according to scheduled dates.
Noor further added that the votes of 226 out of 296 polling stations have been reviwed so far.
He also added that the Independent Election Commission of Afghanisan emphasizes on transparency of the election process.
This comes as the electoral team of Dr. Abdullah Abdullah has accused the electoral bodies for being involved in industrial scale fraud in favour of Dr. Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai.
However, the Independent Election Commission (IEC) officials have called on presidential candidates to prevent prediction of vote results.
The preliminary results for the runoff presidential election is expected to be announced next Wednesday.

Abdullah claims 2.5 million fraudulent votes casted in runoff election

Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, presidential contender in the secod round of election, has claimed that over 2.5 million fraudulent votes have been casted in runoff election.
Abdullah was speaking during a gathering attended by tribal elders from southern Kandahar and Helmand and eastern Nangarhar, Paktia and Paktika provinces.
He also claimed that the level of fraud was considerably higher than the first round of election and warned that vote rigging has put the stability of the country at risk.
Abdullah also blamed Karzai for remaining reckless regarding the massive fraud and said his team will publish further eviodences regarding the involvement of government officials in electoral fraud.
In the meantime, Gul Agha Sherzai, presidential contender in the first round of election, accused the presidential palace for orchestrating fraud in election process.
Sherzai claimed that Dr. Abdullah is the current president of Afghanistan and warned that they will take any action including use of force to defend from their votes.
He also warned that there will be no breakthrough in current political impasse until president Karzai leaves the ARG presidential palace.

Afghans in an ideal sense, need to get rid of these warlords, and wealthy families to avoid dynastic politicians. Otherwise, you guys will be subject to the same slavery that we in Pakistan face. Same family, same wealth. **** the warlords. **** the politicians. They are not sincere. I hope the youth of Afghanistan become active and leads the nation into stability. Inshallah.

Abdullah’s team once again boycott election results

Presidential runner, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah’s electoral team, once again boycotted the election results from June 14th runoff vote.
Officials from Abdullah’s team said Sunday that they are boycotting the runoff vote results as the electoral bodies have not considered their conditions so that they return back to election process.
Baryalai Arsalaye, head of Dr. Abdullah’s electoral team, said they will not accpet any outcome or decision by electoral bodies after and warned that President Karzai would be responsible for any consequences.
The Independent Election Commission (IEC) said Saturday that the demands of Dr. Abdullah Abdullah to return back to election process have been met; however, Mr. Arsalaye said their demands have been rejected by IEC.
Rasa said IEC has rejected to organize third round election in areas where massive fraud has taken place, but he said the election commission has responded this demanded negatively.
He accused the Independent Election Commission and Independent Electoral Complaints for being involved in electoral fraud and said the two commissions have continued to their activity in their absence.
