If pathans* want to continue claimimg afghan heritage, which almost 8/10 claim of those i meet in dubai, then they should wisen up and stop perpetuating pakistan nationality myth. They should reject pakistan nationality, reclaim afghan "qomiyat", us the green book as travel document of convenience till they achieve pashtunkhwa nationality or do something to achieving a referendum on larbar debate, hence reaching a fate of independence rather than being sidelined by islamabad govt.
as for larbar referendum is concerned, it seems wishful thinking on pathans based on their current efforts in achieving such but achieving fully autonomous state of pashtunkhwa might be more realistic, and probably better for pathans. Pashtunkhwa has a lot of potential. Last time i was in pk i travelled through amazing fertile land, along the motorway, swabi, jahangira etc. you have a major dam, an arterial river, beyond swat and dir you have chitral all thay to wakhan, even visited by robert deniro, and rest of pakistan still has no idea what lies in fata.
I am not pakistani but as a former refugee of your pakistan, i feel angry that pk govt can do such to pathans.
* pathans meaning pk pashtun. Why so many of pathans still perpetuate the pathan tag when speaking to non-pashtun i dont get. You say pakhtun when speaking pashto and say pathan when speaking urdu!

Khostai You can not enter Pakistan or Afghanistan on from every place. Only some places allow you to enter either AFghanistan or Pakistan. You must be mountain climber. The problem is that the border line is drawn from the tops of the mountains as the line between Pakistan and Afghanistan. Since no one live on these mountains and many miles into Afghanistan the places are uninhabitet they can anytime shifting the border from the mountains into Afghan side. It is not necessary to protect an imaginary line that is imposed by the geography and mountains. Only small passages allow people to either enter Pakistan or Afghanistan and the Pakis are going to protect these regions. Take a map and analyse it.

It is because in Urdu pashtun around the world are known as Pathan,And today it is not only limited to India and Pakistan but even in iran(Visit iran forums),They don't know the word pashtun but rather pathan.
In Gulf countries they call them patan.I doubt anyone in the gulf countries has ever heard the word pashtun.Such as in UAE i have never seen any arab/indian/bangladesh calling us as pashtun but rather Pathan for indian/bengali and patan or pattan for arab and the rest of the other communities.
Well the existing autonomous status of FATA will also be removed by removing the FCR and merging it with KPK or forming Qablistan.Expect this to happen within the Nawaz Govt. And if Pakistan would have not entered into War on terror.FATA would had been merged with KPK even under musharaf govt.
So the only autonomous region in Pakistan AKA FATA will also be no more a autonomous."Seer Speen Wazeer"

in 2011 i have myself seen the Border along the ghulam khan post and it is covered by barbed wire wall's similar to those of Pakistan with indian Border..Originally posted by Bost Bastan News View PostKhostai You can not enter Pakistan or Afghanistan on from every place. A 60 km long mud wall? Pakis were claiming that they would build fence with electricity running through it, with drone survailence and what not.

I got the complete detail
Cross posting from rafi(PAKDEF members, not to be confused with Def.pk).If i am not wrong,he's a ex army
That is the plan, this mud wall - is very tough most of the fortifications in the tribal areas are made like this - they are very tough having tow missiles fired from Cobra's not being able to defeat it's thickness.
This is the plan,
Mine field - (anti-personnel mines)
/
/
/
Mud wall - eight to ten feet high - 7-9 feet thick
/
/ gap of 10 feet
/
/
/ eight feet tall electrified fence with barbed wire - with security posts every kilometer with road provided for patrolling, CCTV equipped motion cameras, linked to mini fort command center's - also long ranged day/night camera's for surveillance.
UAV's coming on line,
Future deployment of automatic sentry's in development."Seer Speen Wazeer"

we have to defeat taliban even if it mean building the wall.Taliban's are destroying pashtuns more than anything else.Originally posted by torkham View PostDa Bannu wror, we pashtuns should not be encouraging it either. Once upon a time pkistanis never heard of pashtunkhwa, but as soon as it was introduced, you rarely hear 'frontier province' or suba sarhad, almost everyone know kpk.
After this wall the Taliban from Afghanistan side won't penetrate into Pakistan as easy as it is without any wall and vice versa in Pakistan case."Seer Speen Wazeer"

I know that the region has mountains and what not, but please you can not claim that only 60km from 2640km must be fence becuase that is the only way talibs cross the border.Originally posted by Bost Bastan News View PostKhostai You can not enter Pakistan or Afghanistan on from every place. It is another attempt by the govt of Punjab to make Durand a permanent border.
They tried before but failed and I hope they will fail again.
No one can stop Pashtuns of both side crossing this british drawn line.
There are families divided by this line.
This is not a border but a line drawn by British to divide Pashtuns.
Pakistan think that the future Tajik dominated govt under Abdullah will accept this but Punjabis must know that there are 55 million Pashtuns living on both side of durandline. They will cross this line like they did in the past.
There will be no peace in Pakistan if the wall was built.
Hamid,s agenda never worked in the past and it will never work in the future.

Even if the border is over 3000km long it doesn´t matter. There are only some passageway. To control the entry and exit you need to control these points. Taliban can not move via mountains and climbings to Afgahnistan or to Pakistan full packed with their weapons, vehicles and animals. Without support from Pakistani ISI officers they can not enter any of the two countries.Originally posted by Khostai View PostI know that the region has mountains and what not, but please you can not claim that only 60km from 2640km must be fence becuase that is the only way talibs cross the border.
