  • Afghan National Security Forces Newly Acquired Capabilities,

Afghan National Security Forces are consistently taking on more and more responsibility for the security of their country, defending their own people from the enemies of Afghanistan. The capabilities of Afghan Air Force (AAF) are expanding with the delivery of Mi-17 V5 transport helicopters at the Kabul International Airport allowing the AAF to conduct their own missions, setting the conditions for Afghanistan to have a professional, fully independent Air Force as they take control of security operations throughout Afghanistan.
Also, In Afghanistan’s continued effort to independently battle counterinsurgency, a new tool will be added to their arsenal at least 20 A-29 Super Tucano light air support aircraft designed to allow versatility, reconnaissance and precision weapons placement to the growing Afghan air force.
In your opinion, how important is a well-equipped Air Force for Afghan National Security Forces to fight counterinsurgency?
    Very respectfully,
    Hashmat

Afghanistan needs a fully capable Air Force.

That the US failed to establish one in the last 13 years means they don´t care about Afghanistan at all.

Who the hell needs Super Tocano propeller aircraft in the 21st century, in a country full of mountains and valleys?

    Are you kidding me?

The former USSR managed to train Afghan pilots on Migs, Sukhois and other advanced fighter jets in a much shorter time.
    The only constant is change.

All I have to say to Afghani snakes is:

God bless Bush, Obama, USA, NATO, USSR, Osama, Taliban, Ahmed Shah Massoud, British, ISI, Northern Alliance and whoever else kills Afghans everyday.
God bless the man who invented drones.

It is USA's job to create Afghan military. They have pledge loyalty to the Afghan state, so they have to spend trillions of $ on Afghans, because US citizens sole purpose is to pay taxes for Afghans. US have send 100 thousands of soldiers so they can chew the food for Afghans as well.
Don't quote me or speak to me if you hate Afghanistan, you be ignored.

People with identity crisis will be ignored as well.

Well it is because the USA will always want Afghanistan to remain below its potential.

The other short coming of Afghanistan govt is they don't know how to play with strategic cards.such as developing close relations with rich gulf states. If KSA can finance 3Billion dollars Military hardware bill for lebanon than why not a squadron of F-16 or Mig 29 for Afghanistan

Truth is, until a country has 'independence' having a squadron of F16's doesn't mean anything. Look at Pakistan, it has a bunch of good air crafts, yet it's treated like a prostitute in foreign affairs, has really bad quality of life, isn't progressing, still doesn't have 24 hour electricity, ridiculous corruption(they say if the price is right, a Pakistani would even sell his mother**, and sadly we know that's true for both AFG and Pak politicians) and Pakistan in many ways, isn't much different than Afghanistan(Herat(and I think a couple of other Northern provinces near Iran), because of Iran, have 24 hours electricity, and not a single Pakistani city has that, sadly) and the global players know this, and want to keep it this way.

For as long as regional nations don't develop unity, continue to expect Pashtuns of Lar and Bar be killed like roaches. For as long as Pakistan and Afghanistan don't develop some sort of a strategic union, or partnership, expect both nations to witness chaos. For as long as India-Pakistan don't have peace, don't expect modernity. Truth is, in this information and technology era, Pakistan nor Afghanistan don't have a *SINGLE* university that can compete with Europe, or the USA; heck, Afghanistan and Pakistan combined can't compete with Iranian education or Indian education. In case you are wondering why I attach so much importance to educational institutions, to give you an example, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, in Cambridge MA, USA, has produced a gazillion companies. According to a recent report, if MIT were to be a country, it would be the world's 11th largest economy. This sense of nationalism or pride that is instilled in Pakistani or Afghans through their educational brainwashing is mind-baffling, since it essentially makes you blind about your potential. And please don't tell me you have NUST, or LUMS, or NED, these are all peanuts institutions with no international importance, recognition or value.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

an independent state with only ak's is better than a puppet state with nuclear weapons. centcom can take those planes and fly them straight up their asses.
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

Strongly disagree with you here. Had Afghanistan possessed ballistic missile technology pre-9/11 (states use it as military deterrence), there would be no US/NATO war/intervention.

Its the reason why the US/NATO trying all they can to avoid a conflict with Iran.

Had Ukraine possessed military deterrence, Russia would not have taken over Crimea, regardless of whether the Ukrainian regime was truly independent or not.

The US job and duty is to protect Israel at all costs. Israel controls the financial institutions within the US and EU.

I think if every nation was a nuclear power, there would be no war.

Ukraine gave up their nuclear warheads (left behind after Soviet Union collapsed) in a deal brokered between the US/West and Russia, and now look at the result. Russia is sending troops into Ukraine, and the Western pledges of protecting Ukraine's independence have no value.

For close air support. The prop planes fly slower than the jets which allows the the crew to observe and more accurately target the area. The prop planes are also less expensive to operate.
