"Never seen any pashtun leader fighting for his people like Massoud fought for tajiks."

Minorities tend to have a greater sense of unity.

And I don't dislike anyone solely based on the ethnic group they're from. My grandfather's mother was Panjsheri, and I have many Tajiks/Uzbeks/Hazaras/Nuristanis in my family (my maternal grandmother is half-Nuristani). Many Afghans of today have intermarried.

    Salam.
Since afghanistan is a country of minorities (pashtuns included) your point makes no sense. Pashtuns got a tribal culture and thats why pashtun will never become an united reality while non pashtuns are not tribals. Except Dostum, never seen any tajik or hazara leader killing his own people. Never. Only pashtuns hate themselves.

I do agree on what you said about interethnic marriages.

Pakistan is the only country in the world who is supporting pashtuns in afghanistan. Are pashtuns, according your own words, prostitutes? lol

Considering the present situation of Afghanistan,You have no option but to choose either between Nationalism or ethnicity.

I believe you should choose nationalism, and believe me their has been no one as good from afghanistan as Ahmad shah Massoud considering the past 50 years history of Afghanistan.

He knew how to deal with the neighbours of Afghanistan,How to deal with the taliban and how to put Afghanistan on the path of recovery.

          You are wasting your time.

I find damn hilarious how a guy like Khushal who is always b*tching against his own fellow non pashtun countrymen/women now is talking about unity and respect. Hilarious lol

You seem to be oozing of closeted prejudice, for you tend towards generalizing and stereotyping Pashtuns into categories you have created based on the indoctrination you have most likely received from the environment you have grown in.

First of all, the so called tribal society of Pushtuns is over-exaggerated, as for many contemporary Pashtuns their tribe is now only their surname; in fact, such is the case for my own family, and many others. Urbanization (and now globalization) has deteriorated tribal cultures not only amongst the Pashtuns in Afghanistan, but many other nations as well, such as the Kazakhs, Scots, Greeks (who were once famous for it) etc.

"And thats why pashtun will never become an united reality"

I don't care about Pashtuns becoming a united reality, as I wish for all ethnic groups of Afghanistan to become a united reality, so ethnocentrism does not concern me.

Also, keep in mind that all current day ethnic groups around the world were once tribal societies in the past. Furthermore, many present Uzbeks, Tajiks and Hazaras of Afghanistan also perform tribalism (as do Pashtuns), as tribalism implies the possession of a strong cultural or ethnic identity that separates one member of a group from the members of another group, a behavior which is quite apparent in all the ethnic groups of Afghanistan. Hence, we can say true tribal societies no longer exist in Afghanistan, but tribalism lives on within all the ethnic groups of present day Afghanistan.

"Never seen any tajik or hazara leader killing his own people."

Ah, the blame game. I refuse to join in.

            "Only pashtuns hate themselves."

Again, here we go with the generalizations and stereotyping. By saying, "only Pashtuns hate themselves," you're implying that all Pashtuns dislike their ethnic group, which is most assuredly a false claim. Why do you see all Pashtuns with the same lens?

"Since afghanistan is a country of minorities (pashtuns included) your point makes no sense."

All current statistics prove that Pashtuns constitute a majority.

            Also:

Bruce Richardson, Afghanistan: A Search for Truth., 2008-2009, p. 275). What is the purpose of inflating the population size of non-Pashtun minorities while downgrading the majority Pashtun demographics? This deliberate undertaking by the CIA is indicative of a public relations ploy for a world-wide support for an unjust war, which was given the appearance of a just war: to free the majority (minority non-Pashtuns) from the so-called oppression of the minority (majority Pashtuns).
Why would Bruce Richardson, an American, write a biased paper?

            Some excerpts from minorityrights.org:

Pashtun, the largest and historically most powerful and influential ethnic group are currently significantly under-represented in the central government, which is dominated by the Uzbeks and Tajiks of the Northern Alliance. This less privileged position in administration and power has created obvious dissatisfaction among Pashtun. Following the final results of the most recent 2010 parliamentary elections, Pashtun parliamentary candidates from Herat and several other provinces staged protests, claiming that they were systematically excluded from the election process through fraud and intimidation.

Of the estimated 1 million of IDPs at the beginning of 2002, most of the ones that have not returned to their original area of inhabitance are Pashtun, who were uprooted by ethnic violence in the north and the west of the country.
Nevertheless, the Pashtun remain the largest ethnic group and therefore in an increasingly democratic system are likely to regain their influence.

The above is taken from an unbiased, reputable website called: minorityrights.org

Minority Rights Group International campaigns worldwide with around 130 partners in over 60 countries to ensure that disadvantaged minorities and indigenous peoples, often the poorest of the poor, can make their voices heard. Through training and education, legal cases, publications and the media, we support minority and indigenous people as they strive to maintain their rights to the land they live on, the languages they speak, to equal opportunities in education and employment, and to full participation in public life. - See more at: http://www.minorityrights.org/575/ab....g1mYSzSD.dpuf
Nevertheless, I don't care about the demographics of Afghanistan. Whether Hazaras have a higher population or Pashtuns doesn't matter to me. I only wish for peace and development for all the people who live in the present day location of Afghanistan. They have seen much pain in their lives and they deserve all the best.

Also, please remember that many of the zealots and imbeciles on this forum are not true representations of the average Pashtun. I'm sorry if you have ever fallen victim to their spiteful words. When I visit websites such as YouTube, Tajikam, etc., I always keep in mind that many of the Tajiks/Uzbeks/Hazaras etc. there whose posts are full of spite and racism are not accurate depictions of the average person from their ethnic groups.

I agree with most of your comments. I second the argument that Pashtuns are the largest ethnic group from Kabul to Badghas and everything in between including kunduz.. Also I know that god created everyone equal, but I like Pashtuns the best. And no I really wouldn't like getting associated with Tajiks, Uzbeks, Hazaras and Punjabies

                      .
I got this from your link:

"Pashtun, also called Pushtan, Paktun or Pathan, are the largest ethnic group in Afghanistan. They live mainly in the south and the east of the country. They have a distinct language called Pashto (an official language since 1936) but also speak Pakhto, which are both Iranian dialects that fall within the Indo-European group of languages. They are generally able to speak Farsi when necessary, often relying on the language in the context of trade dealings in the region. It is speculated that Pashtun are descendents of Eastern Iranians, who immigrated to the area from Iran. However, there is also an interesting legend, which claims that they actually originate from one of Israel's tribes. Pashtun are Sunni Muslims and can also be found in the North West Province in Pakistan (about 14 million). They are seen as the historic founders of the Afghan Kingdom, with an apparent predominance in administration power until recently."

So pashtuns are iranian-jewish immigrants and there are like 14 million pashtuns in pakistan.. hahahahahahaha.

I repeat: since no real census has ever been conducted in afghanistan and pashtun elites have always avoided ethnic issue (just look how Karzais is against ethnicity in ID). Afghanistan needs a real and credible census. Pashtun nationalist shouldn't be afraid of it.

Pakistan is supporting the Tajik dominated gov in afghansitan with supply lines. Without those supply lines America can not protect you so in essence Tajik fascists exists because of Pakistani support.

basically he is saying that Pashtun leaders of Afghanistan have been british and Russian slaves. He said that the Tajik bacha seqow was dethroned by the british puppet Nadir shah. That Pashtuns are backwards and Afghanistan is in misery because of Pashtuns. This is said while his grandfather ran from soviet invasion of Tajikistan and was given refuge by those Pashtun leaders that he is calling slaves.

                                He spoke the truth.

Most of pashtun leaders of afghanistan were or are puppets: shah shujah, ahmad shah durrani, dost muhammad, amir abdul rahman khan, nadir khan, gulbudin, taraki, amin, najeeb, karzai,.. all of them country sellers. Bacha Saqaw was dethroned by a brit puppet, nadir khan. Thats also true. And basically pashtunism is main reason why our country is so backward. After all pashtuns ruled our land for more than two century and we gained no progress.

Facts are facts. As a pashtun I would like to ask you to stop with your BS´s.
