Pashtuns have engaged mostly in inter-tribal wars throughout history and have spilled blood of their own pakhtuns more than of others. In having advantage over their enemy tribe, they have never hesitated in taking help of foriegners. Khattak vs yousafzai is old story, take example of today. Ahmadzai wazirs have allied themeselves with paki army and were taking benefits from them while their cousins mehsuds were getting killed and insulted by paki faujis. Bhittanis took their historical enemity with mehsuds to another level, they not only participated in military operation against mehsuds but also harassed mehsud IDPs, even their women.... a rare thing among pashtuns to go to such level.
