Najibullah was sold out by Dostum and when Najibullah tried to flee Dostum blocked his exit and left him to be killed by Taliban. Like it was said before, I wouldn't be surprised if Dostum had Ghani killed somehow. He could of at least made Dostum the 2nd VP instead of the first, considering the official titles have no legal significance as far as I know besides who takes the presidency in the event that the president dies or whatever.

For an educated man like Ghani who knows Afghanistan's history, he has proven his complete hypocrisy by choosing Dostum. The campaign appeal of him not being directly involved in the crimes of the Mujahadin has now been thrown out the window.

He has no real position, he can't campaign on religion obviously, or ethnicity by virtue of having a vp who has Pashtun blood dripping down his fangs, or intellectualism because of the stupidity of choosing Dostum.

They weren't even radio allies. They just agreed to attack masood at the same time when ever masood had the upper hand and when Hekmatyar had the upper hand Dostom would ally with Masood to attack Hekmatyar at the saem time. It was all for the balance of power.
