No we were better off because we had other another institution and a much stronger insititution that was in place to take care of any eventuality. Yours on the other hand the president was the one that was too weak to handle the crisis therefore plunging his country into civil war.

We wouldnt have made a nuclear bomb if we had been under the umbrella of these western nations, we wouldnt be the only muslim nation to produce a 4+ gen fighter jet right after getting bottle necked by the sanctions from these "western nations"

Afghanistan and Pakistan were militarily no more stronger than the former yugoslavia. Yugoslavia met that fate because Western powers couldn't tolerate such a big country in Europe. This wasn't mainly Yugoslavia's fault. Same was the case with Afghanistan. Its strategic location was important for the West and Pakistan had an ultra agenda of taking control of it. This was the most fortunate coincidence for Pakistan.

^ Prove the fact that Afghanistan and Pakistan were militarily no stronger than yugoslavia. Dont reply unless you have a neutral source to back that argument

Here are some quotes to back my argument

"As an air defence analyst, I am fully aware that the Pakistan Air
Force ranks today as one of the best air forces in the world and that
the PAF Combat Commanders' School (CCS) in Sargodha has been ranked
as the best GCI/pilot and fighter tactics and weapons school in the
world". As one senior US defence analyst commented to me in 1991, "it
leaves Topgun (the US Naval Air Station in Miramar, California) far
          behind".

          -Sergey Vekhov
May 1993 issue (pages 46-47) of Airforces Monthly, a reputable
          UK-based air defence magazine.

I have many more infact im just going to make a thread

"He was a formidable fellow and I was glad that he was Pakistani and
          not Egyptian"

(Israel Air Force chief and ex-President Ezer Weizmen writing about
PAF chief Nur Khan in his autobiography, On Eagles' Wings).

I never mentioned that Afghanistan's force was on par with anyones let alone Pakistans. However Yugoslavs was the fourth largest in europe at the time. I don't know Pakistan's rank at the time. So that wasn't the point. The point was that at one time Yugoslavia had a huge force, one of the best in the world...and it too collapsed. Soviet Union was once a super power..no nuclear arsenal or tanks could maintain its existence. So that would be the point.

Ofcourse by that logic the biggest of empires have fallen, but you and khayal were comparing Pakistan's army to Afghanistan or Yugoz. If you weren't then the argument is finished but if you were then prove the fact that yugoslavia were on par with Pakistan army. Dont reply unless you have a neutral source to back that argument

Countries with strongers armies have collapsed.

                    dont be too confident.

If the Pashtuns get mad at your army, we can destroy your entire nation in a matter of seconds.

We did it to the russians.
We did it to the British 3x
we did it to Alex the great.
We did it to the Indians.
We did it to the Mughuls.
We did it to the Punjabis, In fact we even ruined their golden temple.
40 countries can not stop us Pashtuns(Afghans).

We are not in that bad of a terms with Pakistan, but if Pakistan presses the wrong buttons. Expect the unexpected.

We are know for our honor and courage.

throw your tantrums elsewhere, keep your discussion relevant. Pakistan army has been lead by pashtuns so i dont really see the logic in this argument, but i have no doubt this will give many a chance to ride this new bandwagon and derail this thread further

We pashtuns are hospitable. If you or the elite tries to mess with us, we will put in work.

Credere, Giving a break to your blind love for Pakistani military which has ruled and ruined and derailed Pakistan''s nascent democracy and hence rights to her inhabitant nations,I would suggest you need to critically study Ayesha Sidiqa and Agha Amin books on Pakistani military to know the reality.I know its difficult to see the idols getting collapsed in front of your eyes but facts are facts.

^ On the contrary im open to any arguments that you might have. Please do bring the arguments from the aforementioned authors book that you would like to contest. I believe in one ideology that is Pakistan just like you have yours, only difference is i dont dish out your ideals because I unlike you have no insecurities about mine. Nevertheless, you have mentioned these authors before, bring forth the argument so that we may discuss it.

This name change was done on purpose so Hazaras can rebel.

And we are seeing what is happening.
