But Pakistan meaning is different

Pakistan means "The land of Pure" Not the land of Pakistanis because unlike afghan or turks.Pakistan is not a race just a region where 4 different races live

So this is the reason,You can't refer Pakistanis to as Pakis.As Pakistan is not a race neither does Pakistan means the land of Pakistanis.
