It is the worst nightmare of many of his ilk (among Tajiks especially) for Ashraf Ghani, this time with a Uzbek first Vice President to win. Did you watch the video on the first post under this thread of Tajik mob attacking Uzbeks? No where on the ground ethnic tensions run as high as it did there. We may not get too sensitive for a soft partition after all, let them enjoy it, that is if they are able in they first place any way.

Well essentially the "Tajiks" of Central/West Asia are an ancient eastern Iranic people who originally spoke different languages (ie Bactrian, ) but eventually lost their languages and adopted Farsi.

Us Pashtuns are similiar, in that we are also a mixture of various Iranic tribes and peoples, the exception being we are united by the Pashto language and we have developed our own unique culture and traditions

Tajik is historically a generic term for a Farsi speaker of various Iranic descent. It was used to distinguish them from Turks, much the same way Ajam was used by the Arabs to distinguish non Arabs

yara thank you very much for the information!
i dont believe that tajikistan parts of china parts of uzbekistan-afghanistan is the real nativ homeland of tajiks.
there are many theories where they came from what their origin is maybe the key is the wakhi.

I'm not disputing that, I even said Tajiks are descendants of various iranic tribes that spoke different languages. I gave Bactrian as an example, but soghdian is another one

Languages come and go, for example chagatai Turk

Genetically very little distinguishes a pashtun from a Tajik. Pashto and pashtunwali is what makes us unique
