I think Afghanistan is too divided, and enforcing a culture onto others will just make that division even bigger. From reading this forum, I am beginning to think that the only solution is to split the country.

There is nothing that binds a Tajik from Badakhshan to a Pashtun from Kandahar. Nothing that unites a Hazara from the west with a Pashtun from the east. The word Afghan applies only to Pashtuns, not others.

At least the Pakis have an identity and language that is not exclusive to one ethnic group. Afghanistan does not have that, because our rulers were too dumb to create one, and preferred to govern by force, terror only.

There will be no breaking apart Afghanistan, If Hazaras, Uzbeks, Turkmens want a country, they are free to move back to Mongolia. Half breed Tajiks has no right to claim Afghanistan nor the other ethnicities that moved in with invasion.

I'm thinking more of a soft partition, like Iraq. The majority of Pashtuns will be allowed to live under the Taliban, as they prefer. Other races will live under a democratic setup, headed by either Sayyaf, Abdullah or Karzai's brother. Neither side can subdue the other, since America is guaranteed to fund the army, and the Talibs enjoy strategic depth in Pakistan. So there will be an uneasy equilibrium.

No one tell me that Pashtuns are not the largest ethnic group in west of Afghanistan.. Because Pashtuns are the single largest ethnic group in western Afghanistan.. Farrah is exclusively Pashtun, Herat and Badghias has Pashtuns as the single largest ethnic group.. others combined may be more but Pashtuns still are the largest ethnicity. Be aware that losing western Afghanistan will result in loss of strategic route to Afghanistan..

actualy the taliban did that, and I am no fan of there regime, but they did ban every langauge and everything from goverment to school was in Pashtu....I didn't see Afghanistan crumbling down in difrent countries....

You farsiban.. have a habit of distorting facts... AImak are the largest Persian group in Herat and ghowr..not Tajiks.. Pashtuns make majority in Farah and Badghais,.. how is western Afghanistan more Pashtun than any other ethnic group?

Pashtuns should actually not argue with Tajikes/Uzbaks and others over whether they are Afghans or not, trust me, and I say it again trust me, ignoring them is the best policy. Arguing with them makes them feel important.

It is funny little game they are playing and if we play it clever we will be hitting them left right centre. LAUGH AT THEM and say it to them to go to hell. Their game is a dead one, so screw them as hard as possible before they come around it. Did you watch the video on the first post under this thread of Tajik mob attacking Uzbeks? No where on the ground ethnic tensions run as high as it did there. We may not get too sensitive for a soft partition after all, let them enjoy it, that is if they are able in they first place any way.
