One of the highest-ranking Islamic scholars Mufti-e-Azam Saudi Arabia in his last year Hajj address said: “suicide attacks are prohibited in Islam.” Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Sheikh emphasized in his sermon to some two million Muslims performing the day-of-Arafat obligations on Mount Arafat, a hill to the east of Mecca that “anyone who attempts or carries out a suicide attack will not be forgiven by God.”
On Monday August 5th chief of the Ulema (Clerics) Council of Afghanistan, Qeyamuddin Kashaf said: “suicide attack is illegitimate in the religion of Islam, and the recent attack in Jalalabd city was against the instructions and commands of holy Quran.” Mr. Kashaf also urged the Afghan Ulemas (Clerics) to stand against the Taliban militants who are killing innocent civilians and carry out suicide attacks.
Two days ago mullah Omar the spiritual leader of the Taliban released an Eid statements claiming the Taliban do not aim to cause harm to Afghan civilians; contrary to what he says in his statements, his followers have targeted civilians in the month of Ramazan using children suicide bombers.
Don’t you think Taliban’s use of children as suicide bombers is not only sickening, but it makes a mockery of Mullah Omar’s claim to protect children and civilians?
Don’t you think any movement or army that manipulates or coerces children into becoming human bombs has lost touch with basic humanity?
Respectfully,
