You cant really call that an arbaki. The ALP is a mercenary force funded by foreigners which is why this particular ALP in the vid have been accused of atrocities.
arbaki are of the people, by the people, for the people and funded by themselves. RTR does not understand this concept which is why he could never understand why things are happening the way they are happening.

Arbakis existed long time ago. Right now, only a few small communities have real arbakis. Majority of so called ALP ALM and Arbakis are pedophile drug addicts or warlords of Hizbe Islami.

They didn't get money from anywhere originally, they were self motivated; if others give them money now; it is inconsequential/

And That is EXACTLY what it was; the problem was THEY WEREN"T being funded.

One of the first commanders of the militia in Andar district, Lotfullah Kamran, has now joined the local police because the government had abandoned the paramilitaries. He said he had tried and failed to secure the funding and logistical support that would have allowed his force to carry on.

“It’s because of the blood of the militia’s martyrs that development projects are today being implemented in 60 villages of Andar district,” he said.
The Government is not funding them in other words; but they are joining the ALP because Unlike the Taliban they don't want good men to die unnecessarily.

You're not following the money; you're following the conspiracy theory.

Why are you getting uncomfortable about him calling you out for trying to spin something out of this video that isn't there? , how do you know what we need or don't? Speak for yourself.

                      • more from the same article I quoted from

Nader Girwal, a member of Ghazni’s provincial council, said, “We need any force that can establish security and stability in the country. The National Uprising Movement can claim significant achievements. Security has been guaranteed in the areas where they are present and reconstruction projects are up and running. The schools and clinics have been reopened.

“The government must not ignore these achievements, and it must support the National Uprising Movement.”

Abdullah Wati, chairman of the Andar local council, said the militia had made a big difference to everyday life in the area.

“Before the popular uprising, the supply routes to Andar district were closed,” he said. “People went to Ghazni city to buy the basic essentials. They didn’t have access to foodstuffs. About 1,500 shops were closed in the [Andar] district. Today, business is booming in the district. Shops, clinics and schools have been reopened. People are busy working on reconstruction projects

Everything confirms the uprising was grassroots and authentic.

ghaznis provincial council elections were riddled with fraud. His words are not reliable.

You're not following the money; you're following the conspiracy theory.
youre naïve. People join the ALP and ANP for income. Arbakis that were of the people for the people by the people(hich were formed for defense of the tribe and didn't really pay anything but people were fed by the people they served)don't really exist these days(I think there might be a few) because people can make more income for joining ALP or ANP. Arbakis are probably things of the past since tribes are poor and cant compete with the national gov. to recruit their own tribesmen for the protection of the tribe.
The problem is that a conflict erupts when outside money flows in. Even if you are right and this was a peoples uprising, People stop looking at them as servants of the people if they are funded by outsiders and are taking orders from outsiders. When that happens you cease to be for the people and by the people.

Ill give you an example. Lets talk about district X with an Arbaki(ALP) unit. People ask them why they are shooting at their own people if they are servants of the people. They respond and say they shoot at us. If both sides claim to be servants of the people than they should come to a peaceful agreement which happens. They came to an agreement of not shooting at each other. When NATO planes start bombing villages, then the people start questioning the ALP of why they are not shooting back at the foreigners and they don't have an answer because those foreigners are funding them and are taking orders from them. All of a sudden the peoples opinion shifts to the other side, the side that is shooting at the foreigners.

The problem is the foreign presence. People will come to an agreement by themselves if foreigners don't directly interfere with them. Its natural for this tot happen.

Ad-Hominem since we don't know if he was apart of the fraud.
