i don't think the ttp cares about disclaimers lolOriginally posted by khushal View PostHe says in the letter that he is not writing on behalf of the TTP but himself. There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

This is why I always try to explain that Prophet Muhammad was prophet only for religion(beliefs, worship, morality) and beyond these three spheres he was just a common man who would fight as a commander, and perform his duties as a political Arab leader but not at all as a prophet.
Otherwise beheading little girls, having 12 wives, marrying a 7 or 9 years old girl , killing entire male population of an enemy tribe etc will be Sunna, obligatory for all Muslims and the world would be a hell.
The same is being applied by Wahabis/Salafis and we see what happens in Taliban and Al Qaeda controlled areas in the world like Waziristan and Afghanistan.
Badlun, you are a coward, you have been down trodden by non-muslim propaganda to such an extent that you now feel so down and insecure about your faith that instead of researching from an Islamic point of view you gain your knowledge about Islam from biased Islamopheobes, you also spend your time here committing yourself to working for their cause, you also are a coward because you have no respect for your own intellect, how can you sight sources about Islam and even dare to speak about the subject when you don’t even know the basics of Islam. It will take ANYONE 1 minute to put a negative sentence about Islam into google and come up with hundreds of Hadith quotes out of context and justifications for absurd claims so your not doing anything spectacular , your personal opinionated philosophy about Islam is flawed to such a ridiculous level that often your posts are dismissed and ignored all together, people don’t even want to waste their time on such ridiculous assumptions.
“If Muhammad ordered beheading a little girl then in Islam every girl should be beheaded” LOL wht kind of ridiculous assumption is that? so in other words you take one example and apply it to everything? How pathetic, do you not have a concept of things having individual cases?? …Also you coward, Muslims know that acts of sunnah are not obligatory, obligatory acts are called Fardh, how dare you even preach your satanic ideology to us when you don’t even know the difference between Sunnah and Fardh, do you take us all for kids or something.----------

I brought the example of the little Jewish girl because it was similar to Malala. The girl belonged to the Banu Qurayzah, who didn't keep up their bargain during the battle of the Trench and even was planning to attack the Muslims from behind. That is why the Prophet gave no sympathy towards the whole tribe and ordered the beheading of up to 700 people. The Hadith doesn't clarify to what extend the girl played, but she went above her boundaries as an innocent girl and was ordered to receive the same punishment.
The TTP reason to shoot Malala was her propaganda against the group. If she is going to commit a grown up crime, she will get the rewards and punishment of a grown up.
Not to defend the TTP, but I understand why they shot her.
A part of me thinks her father paid the gunman to shot her. So he could use her death as a martyr, or better yet, she survives the shot. He is suspicious

Muhammad pbuh didn't order it, the Jews pleaded guilty and chose a person of their own liking by the name of Sa'ad bin Moa'z (head of Awes tribe) to be the judge and give the sentance out, granted the Jews were not expecting him to give such a decision but he did and it happend.
Also Most of these tribes whether Jewish, Christian or pagan were powerful groups that had hegemony over their territories. They were not helpless and defenceless and the rule of the desert was harsh by today's standards.----------

Islam at the end of shotgun is what Muslims now also fear. We have turned our lands into some kind of jungle where it is simply survival of the most heavily armed. I don't agree that we should live like that and nor do I think that when we live comfortably in far-away places that we should eulogise that type of approach to Islam or be nostalgic about it.Originally posted by کیش View PostThe TTP reason to shoot Malala was her propaganda against the group. Malala was shot. The man who pulled the trigger may never be caught, and the one who ordered the shooting may remain even more elusive. However, the act of her shooting was wrong. It was about intimidation, fear and making an example of/grabbing attention and came about as a result of conflicting ideologies in a part of the world where disagreements with your neighbour may end in blood.
Capital punishment is sanctioned in Islam. I have no issue. However, we are being crippled by a type of trigger happy attitude (without trial) that highlights a serious breakdown in a more desirable tradition of bringing a local dispute before a jirga/shariah court or a civil court.
On the surface, many are to 'blame'. Malala's life has been manipulated (typically) by a dominant father, but the media is also to blame and the Pakistan government for failing to protect her. What is worse, is that she is now in the hands of ferangis such as the former UK Prime Minister who is advancing his own post-ministerial career by using her as his front-line attack/defence of the Taliban per se.
Most the opposing forces here know exactly what they are doing. There are very few that we can blindly trust.

The lesson we all can learn from this whole malala soap opera is:
1 Parents, dont use your children as instruments of war against your enemies. Especially when you claim you want the best things for your children.
2 taliban, stop being a bunch of coyboys.Originally posted by FirdousiNever talk with Afghans about politics. All their political knowledge is limited to conspiracy theories, political demonization and contradictions. No logic, no reason.

The generally accepted definition of Sunna(I do not agree with this definition) is what Prophet has done, said(hadith) or gave his consent by silence to an act done in his presence. It means killing of the tribe and of the little girl is a Sunna. If you take it an individual case then every case is individual and we do not have to follow the Sunna and may remain limited only to Quran with interpretation according to the demand of the modern times.Originally posted by Manzareh View PostBadlun, you are a coward, you have been down trodden by non-muslim propaganda to such an extent that you now feel so down and insecure about your faith that instead of researching from an Islamic point of view you gain your knowledge about Islam from biased Islamopheobes, you also spend your time here committing yourself to working for their cause, you also are a coward because you have no respect for your own intellect, how can you sight sources about Islam and even dare to speak about the subject when you don’t even know the basics of Islam. I have quoted above the so called hadith from Bukhari and Muslim. These are not quotations from Islamophobes. Do you have the courage to call these hadiths as false or limited only to that event and this cannot be followed by subsequent generations of Muslims and thus we cannot consider Sunna as a source of law for Islam because these were for individual cases.
We have to divide the personality of the prophet in two parts, being a prophet for religion and being a common person, an Arab leader who acted or said things not only as a prophet but also in his capacity of being a common individual and leader otherwise every thing done and said by him will be a Sunna(if not fard) and the world will be a chaos.
This is what happens to Salafis who think every word of Hadith binding and then we have the barbarous acts committed by Salafis like Taliban.

Yes many hadiths are limited to specific events at the time and cannot be implemented in the exact fashion. The prophet had a brain and thought for himself before doing any actions, he never did things spare of the moment or without any meaning so by this definition of sunnah that you are given us it is sunnah for all muslims to think logically for themselves and judge every situation clearly before making any decisions, but rather than thinking of sunnah like that you are not being fair to other aspects but jumping to the conclusion that we as muslims should start killing random tribes of people, you pass such a crude judgment not because it makes sense but because it befits your crude outlook on Islam and the enmity you have for Muhammad pbuh. Also for information there are many types of sunnahs which are broken down into sections in order of importance and the level that we as muslims should follow for example "Sunnah Mo'qida" then you have "sunnah Ghayr Mo'qida" etcOriginally posted by Badlun View PostThe generally accepted definition of Sunna(I do not agree with this definition) is what Prophet has done, said(hadith) or gave his consent by silence to an act done in his presence. We as Muslims do not divide the personality of the prophet in two parts, but countless parts because he a was a leader, a father, a husband, a politician and so forth, this is the reason why he is ranked #1 as the most influential person in history (by non-muslims) because of the complexity of the man, and no amount of your efforts will make him a brain dead simpleton as you wish him to be viewed, it will never happen but keep trying.Originally posted by Badlun View PostWe have to divide the personality of the prophet in two parts, being a prophet for religion and being a common person, an Arab leader who acted or said things not only as a prophet but also in his capacity of being a common individual and leader otherwise every thing done and said by him will be a Sunna(if not fard) and the world will be a chaos.
