Mr. Luffy do you know under what circumstances KKs joined Congress? Do you think was the dream of an independent Pakhtunkhwa(or any party of United India) possible without the independence of Delhi?
Yea Khudai Khidmatgar movement was a social reformation movement which later on turned to be a political movement for the independence of Pakhtunkhwa. It was a regional movement confined to Peshawar vally and the rest of India were unaware of what was happening here. The KKs were brutally tortured, and disrespected by Firangees and their Majab khor Khans and Nawabs. Bacha khan in his book "my life and struggle" says that most of our leaders including me were in Hyderabad jail and the firangees sieged Charsadda the KKs were dragged out of their homes they were undressed before their wives, they were badly beaten most of them died due to extensive torture. their homes were set on fire and their families were driven out of their villages. Two of my companians some how managed to bring this sad news. In the meantime Abdul Qayum Khan of Swabi (who was in Muslim Leage) met me and gave me an advice to join either ML or Congress, the two main stream parties otherwise you and your people will be crushed badly and the rest of Hindustan would be unaware of you people. I sought the advice of my Shura and they agreed. First we sent a delegation of KKs to Mr. Jinnah but he rejected our proposal of joining hand with ML saying that "you people are under severe anger of Firangees and by joining hands with you i don't want me and my party in hard water". Later on we met Mr. Gandhi and he whole heartedly accepted our suggestion and thus we came into alliance with Congress. Now it was good for us in the sense that if there had been some brutalities from Firangees in Pakhtunkhwa the Congress would protest and raise their voice in Delhi against it and thus we were able to convey our message to the high ups of the British govt. and people now begin to acknowledge our sacrifices for independence movement.

As far as "non violence" policy of KKs is concerned Bacha khan says that i have learnt it from the life of the Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H), KKS and Congress bother were the supporters of Non-violence but after the partition Gandhi wrote to Bacha khan:
"Your nation is far superior than mine. We both agreed to act upon on the policy of Non-violence, you people stood firm on your faith and their was no bloodshed in Pakhtunkhwa instead the KKs helped the non muslims there but here in India the Hindus didn't acted upon on the nonv-violence doctrine and thus millions of innocent people lost their lives......I solute your nation"

You have revealed to me a very important fact, i can shut the mouths of many Pakistanis with it. The compliment from gandhi is also some thing to be proud of. But the same congress fed KKs to the wolves, nehru agreed on referendum in NWFP while it should have been the decision of elected assembly. In the end british, Jinnah and nehru won while bacha khan and his red shirts lost......yes ,going from ghulami of goray angraiz to kalay angraiz is a defeat.....British didnt impose Christianity on pakhtuns, neither they interfered with language, culture and traditions of pakhtuns and they were good administrators, what was the point in resisting them ? when kalay angraiz aka punjabis and mohajirs have proved themselves worse then british. Atleast old British people had pride and honour, but these desi kanjars are trying every thing to make pakhtuns feel low about their self-worth and self-esteem.....The creators of Pakistan, the mohajirs openely hate pashtuns and make bori bund laash out of them while the successor of prestigious khudai khidmatgars, ANP is engaged in petty gang wars with MQM.

BACHA KHAN: Gandhiji, you have been preaching non violence in India for a long time now, but I started teaching the Pathans non-violence only a short time ago. Yet, in comparison, the Pathans seem to have grasped the idea of non-violence much quicker and much better than the Indians. Just think how much violence there was in India during the war in 1942. Yet in the North West Province, in spite of all the cruelty and the oppression the British inflicted upon them, not one Pathan resorted to violence, though they too possess the instruments of violence. How do you explain that?

GANDHIJI: Non-violence is not for cowards. It is for the brave and the courageous. And the Pathans are more brave and courageous than the Hindus. That is the reason why the Pathans were able to remain non-violent.
