Khostai and I have a generally good relationship on this forum so I won't speak ill of him or his family. I'll just attribute his statements to indoctrination and naivity.

I can guarantee you her family are from Kandahar and more over they're very "Pashtunwali" style of people. She ran away from home and changed her name to "Brandi", she got knocked up and they got married. I forgot what her real first name is but I know her sister Sakeenah, I might ask, I want to say Zarmina, but I Might be think of someone else. It was only after her baby was born that she and her family made amends.

Anyways ....this is what happens when you separate boys and girls ...the girls end up running away with foreign boys.

Second, pashtunwali does not in any way discourage marrying people from other tribes or nations, that's a myth that closed minded people promote. When your in another nation, your children will eventually integrate into the culture and people of your surrounding, that's inevitable. Through history, Pashtuns have migrated to India, Iran, Russia, Arabia and those pashtuns have integrated or assimilated into their respective new homes and vise versa. The people that have migrated to Afghanistan have assimilated or integrated to Pashtun culture.

You cant blame pashtunwali or any culture for what you think is bad but in reality is inevitable. If you guys think that afghan men and women are not going to marry people around them, you guys are out of your mind. This is happening with people all around the World in every part of the world no matter what culture they come from.

The anger stems from what people perceive as a loss of culture. When they see their own people marrying people from different cultures, they see that their own culture is being lost because the person marrying into another culture is integrating. They are seeing the slow death of what they were culturally.

RTR is the biggest hypocrite. He on one hand is preaching to pashtuns to get rid of their culture and then on the other hand is mad that pashtuns are losing their culture.

Exactly, when pashtuns or muslims especially the parents see their own people or children integrating into that particular society, they feel anger because they feel they have lost their children to corruption and a cultureless life. I talk to many americas on a daily basis and the vast majority tell me that they feel lost because they have no culture, they feel empty inside, so they turn to the behavior you described in your post.
